As a Bengals fan, this was one of the rare moments that we was able to beat the Steelers at home when Big Ben was the quarterback. He owned us for almost 2 decades. The Steelers will forever haunt me
I remember thinking ray mauluaga & Taylor Mays thinking they were gonna be defensive superstars at the NFL level just before USC got put on probation lol & lane kiffin took over .......
@@malikwilson7387 Says you when you guys had arguably the most dirty player of all time play for you throughout the 2010's, also if you say Pittsburgh was dirty, that's just you being a flat out hater.
@@LiamDeegeyou only believe Vontaze was “dirty” because he didn’t play for Pittsburgh. If he played for Pittsburgh exactly as he did with the Bengals, you’d be saying he was “just a tough football player” and “not dirty” 😒 gtfo hypocrite
Back when i thought rey mauluaga was gonna be steal of the draft when USC had brian cushing him & clay Mathews all as projected first round picks when USC played defense lmao
As a Bengals fan this game was the epitome of the season. Benson was a workhorse and Palmer, although not putting up great numbers, had so many clutch game winning drives like this one. I still remember Gus Johnson’s call when the Bengals came back against the Ravens “the cardiac cats!”
The 2009 Steelers were the opposite of the 2008 team in terms of close games. The 2008 team was 6-2 in games decided by one possession. In 2009, they were 5-7
Bengals fan here, fun fact about this 09 team is they went undefeated in the division this year. The season went downhill when Chris Henry tragically passed away late in the season. We also on the final game of the season rest some of our starters since the division was locked and allowed the jets to make the playoffs, which we then had to play the jets which was a horrible matchup for us as Chad Ocho Cinco was on revis island the whole game and we couldn’t muster much offense against that Rex Ryan defense. Still a great year . Who Dey
The look on Hines Ward’s face was hilarious! A year earlier he smashed Keith Rivers jaw and when Pittsburgh lost this game, he realized that he had to face up to the consequences of his actions. You reap what you sow. Go Bengals WHODEY!
This heated rivalry is more intensifying than meets the eye! The moment where Vontaze Burfict was heavily fined for being extremely dirty on Antonio Brown which ended up eliminating the Bengals following a Steelers go-ahead game-winning chip-shot field goal by Chris Boswell for a sloppy 18-16 Wild Card win in 2015 really made this rivalry even more historical!
Ever since the 90s after they were down a little bit the Pittsburgh Steelers have always since Greg lyyoud & Kevin Greene always have elite pass rushing outside linebackers weather it's Mike vrabel & Chad Brown like in 1997 or Jason gildon or joey porter or James Harrison or Lamar Woodley or now tj watt they always have great ones besides a underrated franchise when it comes to wide recievers historically speaking !
I remember wanting my packers to draft Andre smith who the Cincinnati Bengals drafted over bj raji & worked out better for my packers even though he strangley retired early in life .......
That's 🧢 considering the Bengals were 6-15 vs Pittsburgh in the 2000s and 3-18 against them in the 2010s.......Ravens/Steelers are clearly the better AFC North rivalry
I don't understand what makes them any team who wins the Superbowl " defending champs" it's not like they are literally defending their Superbowl title they already won it it's theirs. It should be referred to as raining champion 🏆

Bengals' first home win vs the steelers since 2001, when the afc north was the afc central, and when there were 31 teams in the league instead of 32
Back when they had Steelers legend Dick lebau?
With 3 seconds left, Big Ben still thought he'd win because the man just doesn't take no for an answer
"the Bengals have upset the Super Bowl champions" i'm a cardinals fan and this is super satisfying 😢
That 4th and 10 conversion with the game on the line was wild
RIP Cedric Benson and Chris Henry 🏈🏈.

Division sweep that year

Former cowboys great lol
The glorified linebacker who couldn't cover anymore at that point was devalued lol
Head hunters dont exist in NFL anymore lol
