It is March Madness season. I don't follow Bball at all so I'm taking advantage of St. Hangover day and it's VERY nice weather, attempting to ride section 6 of the new Oregon BDR. In the snow. Follow along and lets see if this is possible.
Follow me in all these other great places as well!

Hey Travis. That area is among my favorites, but the Lionshead fire of fall/2020 killed a lot of the beauty up around Olallie Lake. I go up there 2-4 times a year. Most years the lake is not accessible until early June. I applaud your sense of adventure, kudos to you for trying!! I took my new KTM up there last September and had a blast riding around. A group ride up there with the beard would be a fun time. Cheers!

Hey Travis, you should organize a “ride with” trip like Dork is. I’d come down from Canada to do that if the timing was right. There would likely be several Canadians eager to do the same. Doing WBDR this august.

Glad you were able to get out and ride at all.
Hoping for a nice day this week just to change the gas in the carburetor.

With the weather, I Havnt had the chance to get it off pavement yet. Everywhere I’d go to get a proper test is snowed in 😂

Hi Travis. Love your videos. Any chance you can add a t-shirt in your store with the same logo as your hoody? Thanks...

I was at Olallie Lake last summer driving my truck and dropping my daughter on the PCT. She was working her way around the fires. That is a beautiful area and I can understand why the Oregon BDR runs through it. My thought at the time was that a dual sport or adventure bike should be required for anybody living near or visiting the area.

It’s everywhere here in Oregon. My buddy and I tried to get some dirt trails in last week down here around Applegate Reservoir and were only able to get a mile or so until we hit heavy snow. We just installed progressive springs in our KLR bikes and wanted to test them. Not last week. Mother Nature is still in charge

I’d venture to say Mother Nature is ALWAYS in charge, and in my case her brother Gravity has a thing or two to say as well…..

It's going to snow again, and again and again before this route is actually clear.

I am betting once you turn off 46, things will be a full stop with snow cover. I think most years Ollalie isn't accessible until into June.

Hey man this is off topic question sorry. I'm looking to get a adv motorcycle for my second motorcycle I currently have a 2016 Yamaha fjr1300 for my road and traveling motorcycle. I'm considering a 20222 Honda africa twin adventure sports with a dct or a 2022 truimph tiger 900 rally pro. I know that the Honda is 50 pounds heavier than the tiger but I will be riding the bike 85 on road and 15 percent off road on gravel roads and on the mid Atlantic bdr. So what would buy if you were me thank you.

Personally I am biased towards the Africa Twin. But I have demo’d the 900 Rally pro as well and it is an awesome bike. I did a demo ride video about it on the channel. I’d say test ride both and see what feels right for you. Either is a fantastic choice for what you’ve said your needs are.
