A lot of this is English and not British as a whole. We have very different slang in Scotland for example

@@clairer1622 no worries. So Britain refers to the union of England, Scotland, wales and Northern Ireland. These are seperate nations and have their own parliaments but are under the British monarchy. An English person is British but not every British person is English. You can be British and be Scottish, or Irish, or Welsh. Essentially think of it as four countries under one heading. The south of Ireland is seperate because it’s a republic. Anyway, in terms of brexit it essentially refers to leaving the European Union. The Uk/ Britain used to be part lf the union and have now left it.
