you're being a bit aloof Darren.
This sent me🤣🤣
Me and my girlfriend quote this too often
moving to Stroud went to his head
Accurate af
Big up Stroud
Spot on
God only knows what he'd have been like if he'd moved to Stow on the Wold.
@@mikeboosh8776 a haunting concept
Should have kept this in, this scene has relevance to kerry and kurtan not moving on
They had a whole episode on rob Robinson tho
ColourOfAir who?
ColourOfAir whos that?
never heard of him?
rob who?
In the first scene of the first episode of the first series, graffiti can be seen in the bus stop saying "Darren Lacy is granny bashing scum" and honestly, after seeing this, I have no reason to disagree
Bailey Alexis Snow Why?! He’s polite, well-spoken, honest.. completely different!!
It turned out though it was his granny who was beating him. So the graffiti should have read "granny is Darren Lacey bashing scum"
But they realised it was actually the other way round. Granny was the one doing the bashing.
Granny is Darren Lacy bashing scum
Well, that's what happens when you move to Stroud. It goes to your head and next thing you know you're bashing grannies like absolute scum.
If we all get through this Pandemic I would love them to come back and do a virus related season.
Season? Are you American? The word is series!
Daisy did confirm the characters will return but I don't think it'll be in the form of this country and it's run its course anyway.
@@raph2954 I completely agree. They went out on top. Like The Office.
Omg me tooo
@@raph2954 not really it’s still good but I wouldn’t say no to a spin-off episode
I can feel the awkwardness, and its brilliant

hard to imagine that guy was poked up by his own nan
Honestly I wish I never watched this clip. I know it’s fictional but it’s really made me feel down thinking about how it hurt Kerry and Kurtan.
@MM M bet you're fun in a lockdown
@MM M Great English mate
Get a grip haha
I think its because we can all relate to this.
I’ve got enemies in South Cerney, I’ve got enemies in North Cerney, I’ve got enemies in Cerney Wick. I’ve got enemies in Bourton-on-the-Water. There’s a tea rooms there and under the counter they’ve got a panic button and if I take one step inside, they can press that.”
the facial expressions kerry does are hilarious
yeh they are amazing 1 of my favorite parts of the show
She’s iconic
Gutted this is ending.
Me too - we need more of this to cheer us up at the moment!
Hopefully the other channels will pick it up
@@drhfhs It wasn't cancelled - the writers just decided not to make any more.
Joanne Reeve Me as well, but it's better to end while we still feel that way, instead of going on and on, and winding up being a load of rubbish! I'd rather remember it for always being good.
Wouldn't be rite now sluggs dead
"As I live and breathe"
Okay, he really is related to Gareth Keenan. I'm sure they are aware of it with this saying.
Growing up in a small town in Hampshire this scene does hit home a bit with the whole 'moving on' thing. Some would go off to uni or move away for work, but there was a small nucleus of people that stayed local and expected nothing to change around them.
Why, is 'change' always a good thing?
Depends on the individual and what exactly the changes are, surely?
@@VooDooMaGicMan81 Our primitive brains are afraid of change and some of us are more primitive than others.
And what's wrong with that? Some of the happiest people in the world live their entire lives in the same village. If people have to move to feel like they've done something with their life, to pretend to themselves like they're somebody else now, it's indicative of deeper issues in their lives.
@@futurez12 Maybe
@@futurez12 True, someone from my village waved their tackle at traffic everyday and they loved it
This country will be a classic one day
It already is
It's a Classic of comedy. Depending on your taste in Comedy.
It was a classic after episode 1 aired
As a man in his mid 50s, I put it up there with the seminal classics such as Fawlty Towers, Red Dwarf, The Office, Inbetweeners, Blackadder etc.
Can see way his granny use to beat him know.
someone wants to tell the vicars wife that the vicar has another son! i swear thats jacob, or his twin lol
I thought that
Me too
i swear to
And me
No it’s Darren Lacey.
can confirm moving to Stroud goes to your head
You set foot in the Big Smoke you forget your roots
I judge the quality of programs on how much I care about the characters. To me this might be the best comedy series ever produced.
Me too and im going back to 1970s, out of anything i have watched before i have never cried joy so much.
I agree.
I feel sorry for the actor that plays Darren Lacey because he had quite a big scene here and it didn't make it into the final edit
Is he the same guy that played the vicar's son? Looks like it might be to me...
Actor? That's the real Darren Lacey, you mug
I'm going to miss these funny legends
Love this show but that scene was painful, can see why it got cut out lol.
@Norma Edwards Yeah I get that and the painfulness of the scenes is what makes the show uniquely great. But this scene didn't really work for me I'm afraid.
Therein lies the comedy!
@@JC-il6ps I thought it was great. I didn't laugh, but it's one of those cringe moments for everyone involved that you are so glad you are not experiencing it first hand
@@ArcanePath360 True true
It would have made more sense to keep it in, coming from a small country side town myself it's easy to lose touch like this and for people to just basically not even recognize each other anymore. It's actually quite sad considering that Kurtan talks so highly of the times him and "Darren Lacey" had together along with Kerry and that they have literally no contact with each other I guess it pulls a heart string for me since it hits close to home but I suppose if you didn't like it then fair enough.
Maybe he's annoyed they told everyone about his granny bashing him and that...
My dad literally worked at the halfords in stroud
Hope he didn't let it all get to his head
I reckon he put all his eggs in one basket doing that.
@@ArcanePath360 They could be the next ones up for the hangman's noose.

@Boaz Williams Bradley christmas episode part 1 ( christmas or speical episode whichever they named it )
why do they delete scenes why not make the show as long as it needs to be with the scenes in
cause this scene is shit lol
INO OMG
Quality control. Needs to be all killer, no filler!
They only get 30 minutes
as a pretense to release them for free here
I love how they mentioned Darren Lacey on the tea towel Rob Robinson episode but we didn't actually see him 😅
The little thumbs up kurt gives him at the end is classic! 😅
Virtually every English conversation with old friends
This makes me so sad
Always get the usual nob head "I can see why this scene was cut" comments
Should've kept this scene in!!! So gutted tonight is the last episode ☹☹☹
Breaking news in the SNJ, Halfords has announced its closing its Stroud branch.
😂😂😂Brilliant that should have definitely been in there.
Such a sad scene for them😔
Love this show make more!
Darren Lacey got promoted to store manager, as Halfords proved resilient in the face of a turbulent economic and retail environment. Interviewed in ‘Retail Gazette he was quoted “it was a big risk putting all my eggs in one basket with Halfords, but it is a risk that has paid off’ - Lacey puts Halfords success down to low rents achieved in out of town store locations, streamlining supply chains and retaining core products and customers and not looking at costly expansion at an uncertain time.
Darren Lacey as I live & breath , comedy gold
Halfords will definitely go into administration next week
I have a theory that Darren Lacey is Levi’s dad
Ive been through Stroud quite a few times and it was clear how moving there would really change a person.
This scene was a keeper.
These two are brilliant. I've never seen them before ...
Good old Daz. Loved this character.
They are hilarious with their body language 🤣😉!
As i live and breath
This scene hurt me deeply
‘Well, you only live in Stroud though, Darren’ 😂
Well that was awkward😂.
brilliant
Stroud will do that to you
I reckon he did bash his granny after seeing how going to stroud went to.his head.
RIP Halfords
You can't get to Stroud from Kingham station.
Top travel tip mate, thanks.
@@thedok6419 Well, technically you can, but the platform he is on (and direction he points) is going north and you'd have to go all all the way up to Worcester and change trains and then go back down to Stroud. Or cross the platform, go south to Oxford and change at Didcot and go via Swindon, which is even more long winded. If he'd just been staying at his Mum's in 'the village' (assumably in North Leach) it would be easier just to get a bus from North Leach straight to Stroud. 😂
@@RussRockwell good to know👍
Kurtan’s finger is bang on the pulse of local life - Halfords in Stroud did indeed go up to the hangman’s noose. Closed at the end of last year.
This is what happens if you don't move out from a small town 🤣
Lacey is FULL OF HIMSELF 100%
Genius
I was born in Stroud so I certainly know what it’s like to be aloof lol
That kind of thing happens when people move to the big city.
Haha quality especially funny as I live in stroud
Would like to see more of the freinds and there past etc
It's weird seeing Kurtan point with his middle finger than the index..
I done understand why they delete scenes... ? Can anyone educate me
Paul Dooley they have a set amount of time. So most “deleted scenes” are just left on the editing room floor. Also sometimes they will delete a scene because of continuity or maybe it inflicts on a particular character trait.
@@Thisisaweirdthing2makeusdo well, that's fantastic. Thanks !
Paul Dooley no probs bro.
i quite like that darren lacey has remained unknown!
Can see why it was cut, definitely a slow mover, plus didnt really add much to the episode
Was way better than that tudor crap.
@@martinwebb4556 nah that was funny
I've had this happen to me its shit lol
just like me living in the past and I'm 36 years old
I wish this wasn't deleted
right about Halfords though
Covid's been great for Halfords.
Should’ve kept this scene tbh.
So awkward omfg
This isn’t a deleted scene. 🤔
Its Darren lacey AKA dazza
This was better than Rob Robinson scene . That was a let down ...
CTRL+Z!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂💯✅❗🔝
Is Darren Lacey someone or just a character?.
10 more series if not BBC , itv pick this up
Never happen . ITV only make spoon fed , festering sit com’s for the masses.
It didn't get cancelled, the writers just ran out of ideas.
Netflix - if you are watching....I noticed they picked up Sean The Sheep
Isn't he the vicars son?
He isnt
Wasn’t that bloke in skins?
Could someone explain who that character is?
Leon Wysocki It’s their old school friend Darren Lacey who they regularly reference in the show.
T C ahhh ok thank you
Came here after watching the awful usa remake
Did they cut the scene because it’s the same actor as the vicars son?
Martin Wooder it’s not
Thats definitely not the same guy
Different actors
Awkward
would of been a better scene if darren was played by a different actor i think
pretty terrible scene
The only unfunny scene i have seen from this show
It is a deleted scene to be fair
Fruit machine collector
No it’s hilarious
I feel it’s sad 😂
@@mrstarfire9336 couldn't agree more
I guess they have seen the Office? Complete copy of Gareth Keenan. SAD
Why? Just because they have a similar west country accent? The characters they portray are absolutely nothing alike.
Love this show but can definitely understand why this scene was deleted lol
Is this comedy? Lame
