STORY
Nearly 20 years ago, this charming cottage in the Swedish countryside was alive with the love and laughter of a family of three: Nanna, August, and their precious child. The memories they left behind still evoke a fairytale-like atmosphere, offering a glimpse into their idyllic life here. In a picturesque Swedish village, they lived a simple life. August was a hardworking and reliable man, employed at the local paper mill. Nana took care of their child and tended to their home. The house had been gifted to them by August's parents who built it in the early 1900s when the town consisted of only a few houses and theirs stood in isolation.
Their life was filled with routine and cherished moments of beauty until tragedy struck. Their beloved son was involved in a bicycle accident and despite spending countless days in the hospital fighting for his life, he ultimately passed away from his injuries.
The grief that overwhelmed Nanna and August was beyond comprehension, and it forever changed them. Following their final departure in 2003, there were no heirs to take over the property and it was left eerily quiet. The memories of a once beautiful but ultimately tragic life still lingers inside the walls of the home

A Tragic Bicycle Accident Shook this Swedish Family Household!!
#abandoned #explore #exploring
This one made me cry. Watching your videos has made me start to get rid of my stuff. Things I don't need and don't want my Son to get stuck with every thing. Give things to people who would want them now not after my death. Thank you guys.
Yes😢of coyrse😮
A sad life story marked by a tragic event ! So many precious family memories, left behind!
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Leslie and Danny for showing us this much loved home in Sweden . Love your channel and your attention to detail , with so much respect . Very well done. 👏
Such a SAD, SAD STORY!!!! They looked like such a GREAT COUPLE!!!! I hope they tear the place down though. It looks DANGEROUS!!!!
It breaks my heart to see some of these beautiful pieces and items left behind. The horse statues dog and other pieces. I hope someone can get them and give them a good home before they sink with the house
You both compliment each other so well with compassion for the families and your knowledge of old items. I love your channel. Great job guys
Thanks for sharing a sad story we also lost our son
Aww I'm so sorry I lost 2 sons I feel your pain x
How so so sad, I know the experience on losing a child. I know the heart break 💔 to lose a child. 😢 I feel for them even if they are no longer here. God bless them. May god have mercy on their souls 😢. Good job boys.
So sorry for your loss, I cannot imagine the pain of losing a child 😢❤
I am very sorry 😞 this kind of loss has happened to your family too. It affects all the relatives close to you but not like you. My brother lost his oldest son 7 years ago on March 24th and Easter it was 2 years since his wife passed less than 2 days after being diagnosed with acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. This year it hit him very hard. I cannot imagine 😢 💔 😔. We take comfort in knowing we will see them again. Blessings to your family! 🙏🫂
The square hand made craft pieces ( in room adjacent to the bedroom) are called "needle point."
This home had higher ceilings than many Swedish homes you have showcased.
Thanks again for your care while showing this place. I love to watch the two of you, you show so much kindness with each house and thier things. The chicken dish is a candy dish.
😮It really caught my attention when you said the letter on the table was from Marysville, WA. That's less than 2 hours from where I live. To think you were looking at a letter from this area in an abandoned house in Sweden! So amazing! It so great that you found this home and took the effort to document it before it collapses. I can imagine the sadness that shrouded them after the loss of their only son. 😢 As always, thank you. 😊
I'm going to use your favorite word, WOW! What an entrance! LOL 😆! Another great video! I appreciate what you guys go through to show us the memories and legacy of these people. Thank you so much for taking us with you! 😊❤️
A very beautiful Swedish home indeed... Thank you for your effort in sharing, very sad to know the tragic ending, life is unpredictable
Interesting fact; the item you call a press I have always known as a “mangler”. My grandma had one that was electric. She told me to stay clear of it when I was a child because it could take an arm off or worse. I was very afraid of it.
Great exploration! Thank you again. Hugs.
Spotted a box for New Zealand Apples! Thank you for another amazing exploration Lesley and Danny!
This is an inspiration for me, I'm also going to make videos of abandoned places
My boy and his friends do this also
Hello Lesley and Danny! Very decayed house. My niece Liz now is living with her husband Anthon and daughter Emilia in Boras Sweden and She is pregnant again with one little boy ❤😊
Just inside the door of the sitting room up stairs is a torn picture that appears to be mother and child, and to the left a folded image of the side of a man’s face like a family portrait
Glad that your videos preserve history. Thank you! Stay save n healthy.
God bless you guys
Good evening everyone from hot and sunny Italy.

Good afternoon from San Francisco, California!
I’m always amused with all your videos Lesley !❤ I’m Filipina /Filipino living in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 which is nearby Belgium 🇧🇪😁 I remember you said your mom is from Netherlands 😊
Thanks for sharing 👍🏾
A tragedy that had to made the course of their lives in a radical way for sure. This home got to see their happiness and their deep sadness. It is quite something that no one reclaimed anything from this home. Their lives and memories just stayed with them. Thank you for showing us the history of this home.
Can't wait to see this marvelous documentary 😍🎉

Amo.
Watching from Philippines!💞🙏🏻💞
Totally amazing and sad
I hope that a collector will miraculously appear in the future and rebuild this house according to its original appearance and preserve the complete belongings of the deceased in memory of this loving couple.❤
Thank you guys. Your videos are so well done. The camera work and music choices always add so much to the story. I can't wait till the next adventure,
Hey Lesley, I was at first very deeply touched by the sad background story of the son from the former owners passing away due to a tragic bike accident.
Some parts of that house really were looking very sketchy, considering the derelict state of massive decay. I am so glad, that nothing bad happened to you and Danny, because these collapsed parts look very dangerous.
Other rooms still kept a very friendly and harmonious atmosphere, and I loved all these nice decorative items you were focussing on. - Once more excellent camera work from Danny, and I again loved listening to your conversations.
Also beautiful background music!
I so much enjoyed watching and already looking forward to your next explore adventure.
Wishing you all the best, peace and kindest regards.
Awesome video. Such a sad story 😞 😢. Thanks for sharing 👍 😊 🙏 ❤❤
Thank you both for all you do to keep memories alive . Do you ever hear any thing spooky x
Im 60 yrs old. Im so glad i just recently had my roof replaced. When i do kick the bucket at least all our stuff wont get ruined...lol!
More common than the little windmill you showed is the angel candle chimes next to it
Looks like it was a sweet cozy little home at one time ❤
Dear friend.... they don't laugh at the ruins of a house.... thanks....
Güzel bir keşif ,Leslie ve Danny teşekkür ederim.❤🎉
Wonderful video as always! This was such a tragic and touching story, and it's always so surreal to see these places left behind with the memories still intact. Thanks for preserving history and telling these people's stories so they will never be forgotten.

Lesley sama dany kalian duo Besty yg Hebat, kompak selalu , selalu hati hati ya kalo mau ber petualang Good job 👌👌
Thank you
Another sad story from the Bros of decay. We can see this home is not comming back. You have to wonder where did the people go. It looks like they didnt have much money to go anywhere. I often say I hope they had happy lives in these homes you show. In this home its not the case. To lose a child is something I hope I never know. It must be really hard to go through. I hope they find peace in there lives where ever they wind up. I will wait until next week for the new show. You two stay safe and thanks for your show.
Horse shoes on house means luck comes in upside down luck leaves with you. From Kansas

What a heartbreaking story! It’s so sad they lost their only child & abandoned their home! I love how you bring their story to life again! Still an awesome video bro’s! ❤️😘👍🤘
Good video 😀
WOW this one was quite dangerous 😅thanks for another amazing video ❤
The hen is to store eggs you correct Lesley
A hen like thing is used to store the eggs it is used for it I hope it helps you ❤😊
I remember this house from Explomo 😀
I agree with someone questioning why you two aren’t wearing masks, with all this dust around it is so dangerous to your health! You really should consider this when doing your explorations! Great and respectful video!
It is colourful because it was the trend back in 50-70's. These home owners were young in that time. Now all swedish homes are white and beige😂
Hi Lesley & Danny, 😉 Such a Sad Story of a Lovely Family, that Lost Their Young Son from a Tragic Bicycle Accident, in Sweden!!
First Translation : @ 15:55 Varldens Gulligaste Kille means Cutest Guy in the World, on the Pillow!!
@ 18:32 picture says Vart " Katten" Tar Pengarna Vagan means Where Does the Cat Take the Money?
All the Tapestry is Beautiful, Plus All the Furniture & Sad that the Family Relatives Didn`t Come for the Pictures & Furniture!!
Now What I Like that You-Lesley & Danny Do is Look at All the Items, & Pictures & Talk About it...
whereas Kevin @Boring Channel Doesn`t Talk About Pictures or Items!!
Thanks Again Lesley for Talking & Sharing This & Danny for Filming It!!❤
Take Care You 2 & have a Safe Travels to Your Next Journey & have a Wonderful Evening!!❤
Love Barb from Central Illinois USA❣
Спасибо за субтитры.
the cameraman is painting his claws, he'll probably be overheated 😂
Maravilhoso!🤩❤👍
Boa noite gosto muito de seus vídeos Deus abençoe ❤❤❤❤
Parabéns aos dois excelente video
Be careful, looks so dangerous
The stuffed bird, I thought was an owl..great video but sad
Hello bros Lesley and of course Danny, some of these places make me worry about you guys I wouldn't like it if a roof came down on you please be careful out there okay!
I am from sweden..the fier place are Kakelugn
I’m puzzled as to why these properties are left with all the furniture and possessions inside. I recently returned from a trip to Sweden, and I looked for old pieces like this to take home, but I couldn’t find anything. Most countries I visit have ‘Brocante’ type of shops. It seems such a waste.
Ι 'd like to see you filming in my country , Greece 🇬🇷
Wow
Because the winter is so dark and cold.
The stuffed bird looks like a hawk
So sad my family is Swedish
물려준 1900 년도 된집 자손들 3대나 4대가 잘꾸며 집좀 잘 가꾸지 어른들도 집도 불쌍 합니다 진짜 폭탄 맞은것 같아요
Please very carefully some houses are very rare but beautiful video I love it Gid bless everyone
Gracias Lesley y Danny por esta exploración . Les envío saludos cordiales desde Coahuila, México.
Pozdrawiam💚👍❤️🇵🇱
❤
Ah you guys enter the house before you film... so you already knew there was an organ 😅
How are they able to constantly trespass in these homes?
I was there this winter. Unfortunately the new owner has taken all the things or/and got stolen :(
👏👏👏👏
2003 its seem like yesterday
Boa tarde! O video todo está em inglês, inclusive a transcrição, não consegui entender nada do que se passou na residência, pesso para traduzirem em português, inclusive a transcrição, obrigado.
Why. Aren't you guys wearing a. Mask
👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😷
I've been telling them about the dangers of black mold, and other dangers inside these abandoned homes. They just don't listen. I even sent money for masks long before Covid happened. I wish they would take better care. I'm glad you said something though.
And a helmet just in case😮😮😮
Är alltid spännande att se era videos… hur hittar ni alla övergivna hus?
Om du drar långt ut på landet finner du massa övergivnahus.@@lindapetersson157
Not an eagle it was some type of hawk🦅
That chicken is for storing eggs we have them in Ireland
I thought it was a cookie jar.
How did the son die?
