@ethanboi122 Same here, so either the rumor about him having a falling out with THG was false or he patched things up with them and they got their crap together and are making progress again. I thought the project fell through too, it's been so long that I forgot it was still a thing. If he did have a falling out, that is probably one of the reasons he stopped making Titanic content among other obvious reasons. I'm glad things are better now, glad to see he doesn't despise them since it seemed like he did at one point.

That's the magic of the Titanic.
The amount of dedication, time and struggling it took these devs just to make this demo happen. It's so beautiful and memorable and memorizing, I remember being 13 and always wanted to be one the titanic and just have its pure beauty take away my breath. It was such a beautiful ship that I wish the world and I could've seen today in its glory. It is the most remembered ship from history and it deserved that role, even though I wish it was here for us today I'm glad it will always be the most honored ship in history.
Thank you spammals for showing this beauty and thank you for all the joy you brought my childhood for your fun with titanic, though I miss your titanic week I am glad you chose to move on. There is no reason to be insane about something, if it is not working for what you wanted it is best to move on.
You see on his face what this game, this atmosphere does with him and how it makes him happy and impressed. Enjoy your Christmas, to everybody who’s reading this.

Your tours of the THG demos are always very entertaining. I don’t really follow gaming channels, but when I heard mega-demo was out I immediately searched for you to see if you’d done a video. Looking forward to your tour of part 2 (second and third class spaces).

So much love and care went into the game. The devs are so kind and smart to show respect and give accurate details on the Titanic. These devs are amazing and I hope they can keep this going.

I will say, I recently bought "Britannic: Patroness of the Mediterranean" and I am having a grand old time. I noticed you were credited as a test player, so congratulations on that.
I will say, the best thing about POTM is the return of Robin. Gotta love how he literally steals a motor launch to illegally board the Britannic. But enough about Britannic. Titanic looks beautiful in this demo, and I will definitely download this tomorrow.

Absolutely amazing what the Honor and Glory team have done, it really is a marvelous work. I’m sure that if any of the survivors had lived to see this demo, it would’ve brought many of them to tears, a bittersweet experience.

13:15 Adjusted for inflation, it was still more expensive to film James Cameron's Titanic movie than it was for White Star Line to pay Harland & Wolff to build the actual ship.

It's been a while since I have perused your content, especially Titanic related. I myself have neglected ships for a while now, but seeing a Titanic video from you really does take me back. As you mentioned, it's like catching up with an old friend, and that I totally agree to. It feels like the discussion is all about how that old friend tells you the new things they have done in life, and all the discoveries they made. What paths they took, and where they went back at square one to find a better path than before. Seeing the progress H&G has made over the past year is exciting, as I have avoided seeing anything new since earlier this year. It does leave me curious as to what new discoveries have been found this year about the Olympic class and everything more.
Thank you for giving this a second chance and letting us take a trip down memory lane again Spammals, it was a really fun experience! I'll check out your Twitch channel soon. (Also congratulations on becoming a full time Twitch streamer!)

I also got the early GG access yesterday in the mail.
I had a complete jawdrop at the First Class Lounge. I cannot believe how beautiful that place is. This is art, absolute craftmanship and expert architectural design at its finest.
I cannot believe they don't make boats like that anymore. If they did, people would rush for a ticket even by nowadays' standards. I'd pay a lot to enjoy a nice cup of tea and a nice book in that room, even just for one day.
Thank you for this wonderful walk-through, Spammals! It's amazing how much the H&G team has improved since the last demo.
However, I still don't think the enlarged windows in the 1st class dining room next to the entrance are historically accurate. In fact, I think it's a mistake. The photo by Father Browne which lead to the current complete redesign just isn't clear & unambiguous enough to assume that the redesign by H&G is authentic.
After carefully analyzing that picture myself, I came to the conclusion that it could still have been the same design as on the Olympic, so I personally don't see any reason to speculate about a completely different window design for which there is no additional supporting evidence whatsoever. Maybe I should make a video about the 1st class dining room windows to discuss all of this.
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to downloading and experiencing this demo tomorrow. Titanic Honor & Glory is already a masterpiece!

There actually is supporting evidence for it according to Ken marshall, the web on the wreck at that bulkhead extends further than it did on olympic, making the 5 window design relatively impossible to fit.
This was truely an end of an era. We need to see Demo 401 2.0 tour when it releases next month but I know it won’t happen. This is still as close as we’ll ever get to Titanic and I want to see Spammals come back to see the near finished 50% or so that’s in the next update. I miss Spammals from a few years ago with his Minecraft series, stormworks and the other games that made him awesome. I still believe that the old Spammals will come back for one last video. I wish you well Spammals on wherever you end up and wherever you go, just know I miss your old content, I’ll come back occasionally but it’s not the same. Love you Spammals, even if you don’t make a video on the Demo 401 2.0 update.

I've had this demo for many months & only just discovered suite C55 & C57 which look amazing & are the most luxurious rooms I've seen yet. It took me a while to discover suite B51 & B53 with it's private prominade before that as well.

Hey spammals i know im a year late but watching this made me so nastolgic. I found you when i was 9 and now im 14. I always loved the titanic and looking at this made me actually wanna cry because the music with the beauty of this ship makes a feeling that i cant describe.

Development of the game began in November 2012, over 9 years ago! Its been a long wait but now finally we are getting closer to the game's release with the Alpha demo! Good Luck to everyone involved! I just wanted to say that the I’m glad you’re still doing videos, even though it’s not titanic related you crack me up till I can’t breathe. Just seeing you do this brought me a tear to the eye going down memory lane, this was **FANTASTIC** to watch and see you explore the demo and. Are some bloody good jokes. Although you will never come back to Titanic content I will still check in every new upload you do cause you’re a big reason why I’m so happy and you’re fun to watch.

The game is supposed to be in VR. Sadly, this demo will not have VR.
However, the previous demo, “Demo 3” does have VR.

can confirm, at least at my post office, we still seperate letters by hand into slots just like here on the titanic, only ours are now metal but not much has changed in mail sorting in the last 100 years

Good to see you btw! Much like "Star Wars" was a pioneering bet no one believed would lead to success, I believe that the actual concept of painstakingly recreating something historical in the virtual will prove to be more successful than we can possibly imagine currently. The H&G team may have spent well over a decade losing time/money on this but in that time, they've developed processes and framework that will likely prove efficient when tackling other lofty subjects: What was it like to be in Pompeii before Vesuvius erupted? What did Ancient Egypt look like? What was it like to be in the trenches during WWI? What was New York City like in the 1920s? I'm sure one day people will be as fascinated with the WTC as we are about the Titanic and generations that weren't born when it happened, will (much like this) want some sense of understanding of it. So where there is no incentive for studios to invest in crazy levels of detail now, that may just be what people want as H&G brings this to light. That's my thought.

This game Is more than just magical. im too stupid to think of a word that has more of a significance than ‘magical’. But oh my god. people just do not appreciate the beauty of things of the past. every. single. god. damn. thing. its amazing. Everything. made by hand. nowadays everything is just purely manufactured by robots. but back then, hard work and dedication just made things so amazing. you could just tell that every single thing was made with caution, care, attention to detail, and the utmost amazing craftsmanship. I miss the old days, and it almost brings a tear to my eye to think that this was all real and i couldn’t see it in person. I mean you can SEE THE FUCKING CRAFTSMANSHIP. It’s unreal.
