I don't wish to cast shade on the new owners. I'm just curious. What about The Villages demands such a huge premium? We just fled California and bought a house in a 1000 house 55+ community about 7 miles from that house off the 27. Sure, we don't have a golf cart garage or an inside laundry or a 3rd bathroom. But our house is also over 2200 sqft with a new roof, windows, and HVAC. It sits on 1/5 an acre, and it's 100 feet to the nearest neighbor to the rear across a huge lawn. It's nicely upgraded throughout with genuine hardwood floors, granite countertops, and nice cabinets. We have 2 huge walk-in closets in the master bedroom that has both a walk-in shower and a huge tub in the en suite. The houses here are very far apart with lots of lakes, old growth trees, and open areas. Free RV parking as well.I can see being able to get places by golf cart is nice, but how far would you really want to travel by golf cart before taking a car is a more viable option? I suppose it would be nice for people who can't drive cars anymore legally. But I don't see a 230k difference in value.
The days of Florida being a good buy died during the pandemic. In the Villages you have to add in the bond, RE taxes, insurance, water, fire and the HOA. It costs more than living in a suburb of NYC. I’m glad I am such a planner that I bought my retirement home 15 years ago when I was in my 40’s in South Carolina where RE taxes are minuscule, no issue with insurance(cheap too) and a reasonable HOA that covers a ton of stuff.
Beautiful home. Extremely well decorated. Two questions, what stays and can you hear the turnpike? Also, after all those beautiful upgrades why would someone be selling after only a year? Concerning.
Hi, I’m the homeowner. We’re looking for a house with a pool. When we moved to the Villages, we couldn’t find a home that checked all of our boxes with a pool. No, you can’t hear the turnpike. Please contact my agent with any additional questions. Thanks for looking at our beautiful home.
@ thank you for the reply. Last month we returned from our lifestyle visit and now have a good understanding of the lay of the land. Which village are you located?
We are in the Village of Newell. It’s a possibility you may have done your lifestyle in Village in Newell. Those homes are just around the corner from us. Keep in mind we’re listed on the MLS not with The Villages agency. The Village agents can only sell houses listed with The Villages agency because they are unlicensed. They can’t sell an MLS listing. . Listing with the MLS gives us more exposure. We can negotiate on some of the furniture and design items. Thanks for your reply.

This house checks all the boxes for me. I wish I could move in tomorrow. Great video!

Oct 12, 2023 Sold Public Record $419,429
At 559k is still over priced. Even when sold at $419 in 2023 was over priced.
Hi! This property comps really well. I’m sorry you don’t see the value in all the fabulous upgrades:) Happy Thanksgiving!
How much is the bond

No road noise;)
I think the HOA is wrong. How much is bond?.44k?
The HOA should read $189. The bond is around 41k.

Selling it turn key w all furniture?
No, our home isn’t turnkey. Some items are definitely negotiable. Thanks for looking.
