This is the third time I've watched the videos specifically about this Mazda and I'm more and more convinced of your abilities. The extensive work you have carried out on this Mazda has resulted in a real transformation of the vehicle and is akin to a metamorphosis. You transformed a badly corroded vehicle in poor technical condition into a desirable small sports car. My highest appreciation goes to you and your team.
Thankyou folks so so much for your videos... Though it took me 4 months of almost every spare moment I had and with a very understanding beloved I have welded up my NB Mx5 and have saved a great little car for a few more years. That's wielding rear sills inner and outer, rear inner wheel arches, outer rear arch skins , fabrication of new steel parts/ Mx5 parts repair panels used also.. She had also gone at jacking points all round with chassis rails luckily still ok. I would get professionals like yourselves to do a job like that when it is needed.. I only learnt to thin metal wield to a decent standard when I had a couple of weeks holiday at Christmas with scrap steel.. . Just thankyou you helped me save my car....
absolutely awesome work guys! I welded a new panel in the rear above the tire, its all filled and sanded just need to paint it now. A big white spot on a black car doesnt look to good 😅
@@yorkshirecarrestoration for sure, I have owned it for a year now and it spent most of its time on blocks. I have done passenger side sills, passenger side rear panel, passenger side front suspension. And recently a "full" engine rebuild.
Good afternoon Gentlemen, excellent results. I really like that mop and buffer that you used to buff out the paint. What brand and model of buffer and what type of mop or pad did you use to polish the paint. Thanks for sharing a great video. You take care and good luck.
As always a wonderful training video with lots of explaining along the way. Can you make a spray booth and oven for £7k. I guess more like £ 30K. At some point will you not have to bite the bullet in the future to get extra throughput and will the cost overs say 100 cars not pay for itself in the long term. I accept that this is a lot of money for a small body shop. Again great work.
hi great video.just found this video luv the colour .do you have the paint code by aney chance? got a toyota celica need repainting would look great in that colour thanks .keep them coming great work
Hi there, the end result wasn't too bad, but I can't believe u sprayed the car in a dirty workshop and caused ur selves so much extra work sanding the whole car down to get the dust out all that extra work and man time is costing the customer un needed costs.
We don't have a spray booth and we don't pass on costs to the customer. If we had to spend £7k on a spray booth we would have to pass on that costs to our customers and our end result wouldn't be any better just cleaner and quicker :)

Looks like your making progress :) yes white filler / primer on a black car never looks the best :)

Hi Steve the buffer is made by Sealy and the buffing mop the is a generic one but 3m are our preferred ones to use :)

Hi Eddie. Yes a lot of money for us as we don't have much of a profit margin as we love what we do so keep costs down to keep cars on the road :)

fantastic !! how many times do you go over each panel to get a high shine ? and do you need a mecanical polisher ?
Hi Karen :) a lot haha just depends how hard you press and how long it’s been since paint. Buffing the whole car took me about 5 hrs :)
Did I miss any restoration to the soft-top? Or is that staying as it is?
Hi Neil. Staying as is as it’s not in the customers budget :)
looking good. how much is a in house paintjob?, i know price and cases may wary, but just about?
Somewhere between £1600 and £2000 at today's prices depending on prep work to be done :)
@@yorkshirecarrestoration sound very fair, you are putting a lot of prep work in it, and not just, spray and pray for a somewhat ok result.
@@joller79 if the results aren't spot on we would respray it again, but they always come out good :)
Did you use the G3 on the clear light lenses as well?
Hi Thomas , yes just g3. It always cleans them up :)

After buffing & polishing, what do you protect the headlights with & the paint?
Just a good polish :)
How does the paint dont have orage peel?
Orange peel effect is because of a number of reasons. We will be making a video in the future all about this :)
Yall good as fuck
Thank you :) 👍
What's the song that's on
I'll find out for you :)
@@yorkshirecarrestoration Its bloody awful. Ditch the music!
The paintjob looks immaculate, but i cant help but think all this work is kind of wasted, when you just ended up with a silver car again.
Great video but the background music is very intrusive and distracting
Glad you enjoyed the Video :)
