The word on the street is that some days he forgets to eat and just drives home and goes to bed. But the next morning he writes a note to himself: Don't forget to eat today.
ppl act like he’s a monk which is far from true, he’s just a true martial artist who dedicates himself to being the best version he can be, both for himself personally and those he teaches . truly an amazing individual .
If you ever get the privilege of training where he teaches, you will see how humble this man really is. His presence is very welcoming and yet this soft speaking man has that air of danger about him.
Lex has a habit of asking long winded really open questions, so its good for someone to answer specifically something while clarifying what they are answering from him
His job is physical, and involves literally rolling around on a floor… imagine doing that while trying to eat and stuff, I think it’s pretty normal for BJJ players 😊
@@nordstrandmusicinternation9518 yeah, once a day is nothing weird, and you get used really quickly, but going to wholefoods and get something simple, I dont know what that means but with only one meal a day you have to cover quite a bit of calories and nutrients, I guess he oversimplified the answer?
@@lrvz7187 the whole foods near me has pre-prepared/cooked food that you can ladle into a container for yourself. i guess that's what "something simple" means. but I would hazard a guess that he ingests food during the day (protein bar/shake .. etc).
I genuinely don't understand. Do you just get used to operating like this or do you hide how tired you feel? If I didn't eat and I was training my stomach would be gurgling and I'd feel fatigued. I've done 12 hour days for my master's degree and I still do them occasionally but they're hard - how does he live like this?
In regards to the long work days I’m not sure. I eat once a day and have done for a few years, I can say that your body will adjust to how often you feed it, within reason. At first if you attempt this you’ll feel very hungry and fatigued but overtime your body recognises that it will be fed so stops sending the signals of hunger because it knows the routine
@@lucasgrey9794 as long as that meal contains enough calories it doesn’t have to be fatty meat. I normally eat a large stir fry or something like that, I don’t like fatty meats but my meals have protein, natural fats and plenty of vegetables

Would definitely be funny to see Gordon Ryan describe John's daily routine.

"When you say a perfect day what I think you mean is an average day"

the way he was framing the question sounded more like average day
I just had to comment the fact that John looks like the engineer from Prometheus. He's even wearing a t-shirt similar to the engineer's bio-suit.😃

some men you just put in a forest and they will chop wood for 14 hours a day.
You probably it's his one meal the way bushmen eat. He likely gorges himself of fatty meat. That's the only way I can think of to avoid hunger.

Hes a bjj black belt
Does john jones? Daniel cormier?
The first thing he does is put on a rash guard
Another one who eats once a day no breakfast... might have to try that
Do what you’ll love and you’ll never work a day in your life
No more Whole Foods?!?
Master Splinter
Why does he call him “Dunaher” instead of Danaher?
Because that's how it's actually supposed to be pronounced.
I wonder who John Danaher dates…
Noice
