Schubert was one of the most gifted composers. At such young age he was already producing beautiful and highly memorable works.
It’s a shame he died too early, he could’ve easily been as well known and recognized as Mozart and Beethoven had he lived one more decade.
He was under the shadow of Beethoven and still died shortly after his idol
he could've easily surpassed Beethoven if he had lived as much as him
Schubert is a very unique composer his style is what makes him outclassing he is like a sum of mozart/bach/Beethoven/little bit of haydn what could be more beautiful??

Yea many composers died young like mozart isn’t even old yet he was 35, even bizet was 37 years old when he died in 1875. But some composers lived long to old age like strauss ii at 73, liszt at 74, rossini at 76, verdi at 87 and some others
Did anybody else relize that Schubert composed more than 550 compositions, between the age of 15-16.

Yes! Schubert is in the evolution series now. I didn’t really hear much if any Schubert before I was a teenager. After I fell in love with Beethoven’s music in my teenage years, that’s when I started listening to Schubert. Understandably then, some of my favorites of Schubert are the later works with more Beethoven influence, such as the C minor impromptu with the same Fate Motif as Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony showing up in the right hand in octaves in the most dramatic part above a descending scale passage with neighbor motion in the left hand
Sonata no.21 could be here since its one of his most characteristic pieces, but otherwise great video, about one of my favourite composers!

it's odd you didn't mention his 5th symphony. that's the one that got him to get away from being a lawyer and focus on music as a career. but there are a lot of good ones in here
