A channel that deals with modeling with mathematics and detailed narration. It doesn't get any better

Videos like this make me happy I'm apart of this hobby, no ones afraid to explain things that get would get taken for granted.

I do airbrush paintings, but want to start models soon. The precision work and attention to detail is what draws me to it. Very good explanation for those unfamiliar with the working principles of the brush. It was a pleasure to watch. Thank you.

Great video, helped me to understand how my airbrush works! Also helped me to figure out why it's NOT working at the moment, thanks to the clear cross-section picture. It seems the lever guide o-ring is missing, so instead of going straight to the Venturi, some of the compressed air is escaping past the trigger pin into the body of the airbrush, resulting in reduced pressure for spraying. Now to work out exactly what size of o-ring I need to order...

Great video and explanation! After seeing this it dawned on me that it's the same principle that older cars with carburetors used when mixing air with gasoline to fuel
internal combustion engines. Really helps with concept and trouble shooting. Thanks!

Yes, I spotted that too! As soon as I heard the word 'Venturi', & saw the pictures, I thought "Hey, that's a carburettor!"

Are you going to make a video that covers the history of airbrushing? That would be really awesome taking into account your editing and narrating skills!

Nice vídeo, but what make the paint flowing along the needle to the very tip is the Coanda effect.

Thank you Augusto, I'll get into that when I talk about needle design.

Boundary layer + (in)compressibility would be the more appropriate way to describe it. The velocity of the flow on the surface must be zero, and grows from there outwards. Coandă effect is just a nickname for the consequence of this.

So many tip shapes? I have two airbrush and they have almost the same tip. Instead I saw there are many.

Don't confuse shape with structure. Two airbrushes can have the same tip shape and function, but have a different parts breakdown.
