  • This is the test ride of the 2023 Piaggio Beverly 400. This is a capable city machine, a scooter that shines in the city, but is very appropriate also for open roads and even shorter rides on highways. It has a 400 cc single cylinder engine, that produces 35 hp. The strong point of this scooter is the style, the lines and attractiveness. It looks and feels also very modern. It is equipped with the latest tech. Somehow Italians are masters in this field. It has the LED lights, the tacho and a lot more. The engine feels powerful and ready also for a two up ride. I test rode it. There goes also the pros and cons... For more watch the video. 2023 Piaggio Beverly 400 test ride: a silent and capable machine.

I owned a Vespa 250cc & a Vespa 300cc scooter 3-5 years ago. They were top of the line scooters. I really couldn't adjust to feeling as safe on them as opposed to a regular motorcycle @ higher speeds. I also currently own a Yamaha Veno 125cc scooter in which I do like since I only ride it here around in the country. Mostly I only go up to around 40mph. So that scooter I feel o.k. on. I do have other motorcycle's for higher speeds in which I feel fine. So for me, I much prefer the position of a regular motorcycle. But everyone has their own cup of tea. Thank's for your effort in producing these wonderful videos. Have a beautiful day my Slovenian friend!! Illinois, USA

I also prefer a standard motorcycle over a scooter. Somehow some scooters are better made and perform better. From my experience having bigger wheels contributes to a better feel and also it sure makes the machine more stable and safer in my opinion. This one was a nice one. I also rode and filmed the GTS300 Vespa from Piaggio. You can check it and I am sure you are gonna like it, I mean... the video. :) Joke. Thanks a lot Larry. :) You can already see what it is gonna be my next video. Cheers

@@RRRRefuelRideRace Don't get delusional, I am not your mate. I wanted to buy this scooter and went to test it, as I saw in multiple review videos how loud it is and how much noise comes from the transmission. My concerns were confirmed in the first two minutes of riding it so I turned back to dealership after less than two kilometers of riding. That was a shame because, even if the combination of tall front wheel and that 35 HP engine looked interesting, its annoying noise killed any ”attraction”.
