  • The Carbon Fiber indulgence continues on my Audi RS3 as I install a gorgeous Carbon Fiber LED steering wheel from the guys at Weaponized Carbon. The quality is absolutely insane and the install is pretty straight forward.
    Follow me as I run through the ins and outs of switching out the factory steering wheel for this new piece of art. I also chuck on some new carbon fiber interior trims to tie it all together.
    I always enjoy responding to your comments so let me know what you think, and as always, please feel free to LIKE and SHARE, and consider SUBSCRIBING for more content!
    Enjoy!

      Check the video at 12:01....it's spliced into the 12V output from the steering wheel centre..
      This is the way the company suggested it but make sure your battery has been disconnected before doing anything around airbag wiring. To be clear, do not touch the wiring that goes to the yellow plug....this is airbag only.

    The boost gauge portion is probably off by some degree, the stock map sensor is only capable of measuring up to ~22psi of boost. Unitronic stage 2 files have been known to hit almost 25psi of boost in some cases, for a more reliable reading you really need a manual boost tap and sensor/gauge ill probably be ordering my steering wheel without the led on top

      @@ap7977 cause it would drive me crazy if I saw two different readings for the boost which didn't match up. All the additions I've done on my rs3 have been OEM+ mods so I don't want it to stick out too much compared to the rest of the interior, if I wanted it to be straight race car I'd buy one of those pillar gauge mounts and send it 🤣

    • @ap7977
      @ap7977 2 года назад

      @@mohibsiddiqui8273 this is OEM tho..my mate has one and it just looks too good for me to care about the reading being slightly off😂 I mean even if you get the mounted ones you still won’t get a perfect reading right..

    • @mohibsiddiqui8273
      @mohibsiddiqui8273 2 года назад

      @@ap7977 for accurate boost readings you need a manual boost tap, which is a reference you plug into a boost gauge which will give you the actual boost pressure. The one on the led uses the map sensor to calculate boost pressure but the sensor is only designed to read up to 21.9psi, if the map sensors are upgraded its possible that they should show the correct boost level
