Did some quick math to get you some kind of answer, because I was curious. Starting at the time stamp 2:05 and ending at the time stamp 2:08, we can see the lines on the ground in order to count how many that they pass. By my count, they passed about 4.5 white line, and 4 blank sport between the lines. I know that they are in Germany based on the channel's description, but I was not able to find the exact length of the lines and spaces, so I guessed they would be about the same as an American round and called each white line 10ft, and each blank space 10ft. Based on all the above numbers that they have traveled 85ft in 3 seconds. We can convert that number into miles per hour to know their speed, ~19.32mph or 31.09km/h. We can also get the amount of pedal strokes taken over the course of the three seconds that we are measuring. By my count, there were 4 pedal strokes taken in the 3 seconds. We can convert this number into RPM and get 80RPM. The last component that we need is the amount of distance that the wheel moves every time that it goes around. Based on some Googling, we know that a 700c wheel with a 25c tire has a circumference of about 2.105m. Now we can use the speed of a bike wheel based on gear ratio calculation to solve for the gear ratio. 31.09km/hr = .002105km * ratio * 80RPM *60min ratio =~3.07 Based on that gear ratio, and the size of their drive trains, they are probably running something like 46/15 or 49/16, but that all is assuming that my 10ft length estimation is correct for German roads (which it most likely is not, but still a fun math exercise).
@@brakelesscycling5501 it doesn't. I'm a courrier cyclist and been at it for years. It's an ego trip and that's it. Maybe a beginner will be forced to learn to skid this way but after you have muscle memory down brakes or brakeless doesn't really matter. (And brakes just increase your maneuverability when it comes to split second decision making) So honestly you're just handicapping yourself, skidding more, building up your own ego, and then telling everyone it's the way they should ride.
Awesome video! What's the fixed gear ratio he is using? And any recommendations on bottom brackets and crank arms? (novice fixed gear rider looking into learning yo skid and do tricks) Thanks and get up it up with the good work.
I ride breakless but you should probably say to ride atleast minimum 1 break for beginners if they ride breakless while new they are asking to go to the hospital
Its just a very unique riding experience. Some people tune their cars even though you dont need for driving in traffic. Why? Probably because its just a different riding experience. You get me?
I tried skidding his bike, but had no chance. Even though I spent hours behind him with my drone watching him skid I got no idea how he locks them in for so long.
@@brakelesscycling5501 I fid it really hard to skid that long and hard or at speed that is why I ride slowly on my fixed hear don't have much skills yet 😂
You can hold skids for a long time if you lock your knee under the top tube, that way your back leg has nowhere to go and you can skid as long as you want. I'm running 48/15 btw
Lol his no-brake riding is probably safer than my brake-on riding. Amazing handling skills.
haha :D
This was sick, loved the tunnel at the end, rad ending
Thank you!
Definition of fun
Ich bin so hart auf euer Zeug hängengeblieben :D
Eure Videos motivieren einen immer zum Riden, egal was ist.
Sick riding and drone work 🔥🔥🔥 Name of the song?
What gear ratio is he using throughout this video?

@@ColeNelson71 man this is the best comment ever
Man I need my front brake. NYC traffic don’t play NO GAMES.
nice vid though.
I totally get your point! but having no break really changes the way you ride.
@@brakelesscycling5501 indeed, becoming ruthless and an outlow on the road. Been there done that which is unnecessary in traffic. Now front brake.

What is the name of the frame?
we have a bike check video, feel free to check it out!
impressive drone work
thank you!
How is it without brakes if you're braking with the back wheel? I can see it stops.
it is a fixed gear bike with out brakes. for breaking, you have to pedal backwards and use your muscle strength.
I would ride brakeless too if I lived wherever this guy lives with apparently zero pedestrians or cars.
on god. too much asshole pedestrians on actual roads
This is rad!
thanks bro!
Geiles Video und geiler Beat !!🔥

What's ur gear ratio bro

What's the song used?

I bought a bmx bike without brakes but my parents won't let me ride it outside our
apartment so I don't know?
Anyone know what song is used?

wise choice!
There was no explanation to why run brakeless? More fun? Sure. To skid and shorten the life span of your tire quicker?

Just leave the brakes on,unless youre in the velodrome........
each as he likes it :)

@@ModifiedNmax Depends on the gear ratio. For example: 48/16 is much harder to skid than 48/19.

When you don't give a f about your bike
Better put brakes, tires cost more than brakes pads
haha true!
why girls live longer than bois
FIXED can't be called brakeless. Get a freehub and then call it brakeless.
This is WHY YOU SHOULDN'T. Cool ? Sure. Stupid and selfish? As much.
