This is actually a good point. I was amazed to learn how much of modern technology was actually developed in this period and now we think it's too ahead of time in the game, but it actually isn't. The only difference is that it obviously wasn't that common and/or effective as shown in the game.
I was so happy with the proper representation as a Bedouin Arab who’s great grandmother LIVED through this war but like then I scrolled down to see all the exotifying comments and now my day is ruined immeasurably.
With all due respect your grandmother was probably nowhere near Zara in the game. As a matter of fact no woman was because the Arab revolt was extremely complicated and took very coordinated efforts by the British to succeed. A depiction of a single woman going into an Ottoman camp busting with weapons is a massive disrespect of actual history.

Bruh looking back, Lawrence of Arabia's sigma male advice was kinda useless. "Theres a world of difference between seeing something, and having it in your own two hands." No shit, Sherlock.
To me, this was the most fun mission. The stealth, the intelligence gathering, the Guerilla tactics, all culminating in a standoff with a sick war train. This is the campaign I replay the most.
I liked this game and loved this storyline. Except for one thing. They make it sound like it was all about oil, trying to tie it into the politics of the modern day. Slight problem; oil was not discovered in Arabia until AFTER WWI.
@Doğukan Yenerel Respectfully, it appears you misunderstood me. You will notice I said "Arabia." Not "the Middle East." While crude oil WAS discovered in present day Iran in 1908, it was not discovered on the Arabian Peninsula where Lawrence was fighting, and this part of the game is set, until 1938. Well after the war ended.
@@TheNotoriousCheeto Of course it makes sense that the British have thought closer regions might also have oil. And this is essentially why they have broke the Mondros Truce and invaded the Ottomans even after the war. Battlefield 1 was a great game. I just wish Blackburn's story would have been replaced and you got to play as a German or even a Russian.
Yeah. Or maybe french, in Verdun battle. Russians in Osoviec battle
