Hope you enjoyed the Live Experience- it certainly was a pleasure to make a real nice piece of art in the slop fest that was 2020! It’s now available on @youtube for all eternity. No cost- my gift to you 🎁 ruclips.net/video/h0lbUZtM_EE/видео.html
Yeah, props to the man. If I looked liked like a 70ies porn dude, I'd fight it. He rolls with it, that's pure Zen right there, his music is drenched in it too.
This album brought me out of a 45 year long state of severe depression. Like you have 1 piece of a 5,000 piece puzzle to life and Donny shows up with the other 4,999 pieces.
I was cut clean in half in a horrific car accident in 1982 when a coke dealer in miami was fleeing the police in his countach and hit me at a crosswalk. Id been severely depressed since until i saw Donnie play live this weekend. My legs grew back during the show, all my hair fell out, and halfway through his set, i was dancing with 7 hot chicks. Life is good.
there's a fantastic video he did with ADSR many years ago with a little bit of synth playing, where he builds an incredible unreleased song track by track
No Stingrays of these days sounds like those old pre-EB basses, I have several of them and no way... Nothing's better than those old grannies. Even the Stingray Retro 70's that I've tested a few days ago are not really sounding like the old school basses of the seventies. Thanks for sharing these videos, I am taking pleasure learning all these tracks. Regards Donny.
yeah man big fan but i think his amazingly clean skills are more respect worthy then just owning gear. It takes many hours to play as good as he does, owning a lindrumm is just about spending money - what you do with it is more important
It looks as though he has a Linn _LM-1_ drum machine *and* a Linn _LinnDrum,_ which can be seen sitting on top made of the LM-1. The LM-1 was older and far more expensive than the later LinnDrum. I heard only around 500 LM-1s were ever made, making them ultra-rare and desirable.
First two notes wanted me to GET ON THE DANCE FLOOR. Reminded me of classic early Michael Jackson era. Awesome tone, not to mention his technique. What a monster player.
This is one of my favorite tracks of the album. I like how the bass plays unison with the vocal melody every 4th bar during the verse, makes the song sound really coherent.
I knew I heard Fagen / Steely Dan in there! I just recently discovered you, and I seriously wake up almost every day with your music playing in my head. PS I keep your my Mr. Experience album in my office during the week, and take it downstairs on the weekends. We get to hang out all the time.
Hello everyone, Donny is my favorite artist of the ones I met this year, I'm from Brazil, Donny your sound is incredible, wonderful bass lines, know that you have fans here in Brazil, very successful for you

Mr Benét, I would really like to know how you archieve the charming warm tones on the bass channel! Would you mind to give us an insight on the entire bass signal chain we know from your recordings on Mr Experience? Kind regards from Austria, Erik
I sure would love to know this as well. That bass tone sounds so smooth and warm, I wonder what preamp it is run through. Or maybe Donny is adding a little magic in post processing?
How does a slimy Italian car salesman convert to an French-Australian beat making genius and genuine bass philosopher? This isn’t gold. It’s titanium-covered gold-covered ice-cubes keeping my champagne chilled.
Heh. I discovered Donny a couple weeks ago while coming down from three hits of acid. Suffice it to say, I had another 'peak' for the next hour as I explored his material...
Hey dude , I'm not sure if I'd actually say our don looks slimy in any way , he's just like my dad in looks and like Donny I love my Dad. I'm sure you don't mean any malice in your delivery 🙏

Beautiful gift. :)
your song is a real hit. thank you for your music.
The Bob Ross of funk
This is so smooth I had to turn it off when my kids came downstairs. They simply aren't ready for these very mature levels of smoothness.
PG-13 smoothness

The Don's fingers on bass are the visual equivalent of ASMR.
It makes me question myself.
I'd love to see him tour with Vulfpeck. So much cookin in that groovy kitchen.
Jesus it took me like 30 minutes to find this again I was worried this was all a fever dream
Killer bass player and songwriter. while some of Donny seems like a parody, he's super legit. Great musician right here!
Extraordinary how relaxed that left hand is. Nicenicenice
“1981 one of the finest years”
Donny operates the Stingray like somebody who has slept with the instruction manual under his pillow.
There is nothing like that Classic Sting Ray all Natural sound
can we get synth vids please?
YES!!!
Get the synth vids x

Yes...Le piano is needed.
I’m just loving the acoustic treatment in this room 😅

What a nice dude and a good bass player ✌️
Wow... this is a blessing. Can't wait!! You need to do one for Konichiwa.
Yes agreed!
Theres a dude that has done one. Its awesome. I learned it off that. I moved up a few levels of raddness after learning it.
I have NO idea why The Algorithm started suggesting your videos for my eyeballs but I am HERE for it!!
I need a crossover master class with Scott’s Bass Lessons.
Keep swimming with the dolphins 🐬
Scott's is a turd

Stingray + Donny = pure class
My newborn god. Amazing work, masterpeace
same, he just makes me smile! i discovered him while i was peaking on four hits of LSD, lol! good times~!
Just makes ya smile.
It's amazing how natural your basslines feel to play!
Having so much fun learning your stuff ❤️
I am in love with this man

Donny you have so much style dude! keep on rocking
Just love the character in the playing and how he hangs on some notes. Yummy stuff. Thanks Donny
Ridiculously smooth and sophisticated (like no other)
Yes we missed you Don.
Listening to Donny's music makes the day better :) Greetings from Lithuania
My 3-month baby loves this song
The baby is probably Donny's.
I have the same bass from -82. It still sound like this. Well played, sir.

Very good, especially when a groovy tune like this is aligned with unfolding reality. Beyond that, like the sharing of instruments.
Beautiful Donny! Swimming with the dolphins!
That shot through the covers in the intro was impressive
Great musician and song writer. I Love his playing. So cool.
Hello everyone, Donny is my favorite artist of the ones I met this year, I'm from Brazil, Donny your sound is incredible, wonderful bass lines, know that you have fans here in Brazil, very successful for you
I just want Donny to teach me more bass, I keep coming back to these videos
Gold! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I’ve seen a lot of internet, and you’re the coolest person in it.
"a bit of key to success… 'if you're searching for it.'"
My favorite track on the album. Glad to see this one, such a warm and spunky bassline!
I LOVE YOU DONNY!!!!
What bass strings do you use, Donny?
Super cool!
Love you Donny
Donny - I recently discovered you. Your music is magic. Please keep doing what you do
We love your music, your style, your videos, and your talent! Go Donny!
T-Square vibes! Love it
I love watching these. Could you possibly raise the volume in the mix? I have to crank my volume to hear it.
Sir I believe OP means the voice over level is terribly low. but that's the only way I know to play mellow, is to get mellow
Nice Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray Bass! The tone reminds me of the late Bernard Edwards of Chic!! awesome man!

I would love to see you play with jamiroquai, extremely funky donny!!!
This is a good catch, the bassline reminds me of OG Stu Zender. Had to go back and relisted to Blow your Mind to compare!
