    How to not binge after relapsing? Even wondered why you binge after a NoFap relapse? And how to stop binging after a NoFap relapse? Well, if so, this video is for you.
    DISCLAIMERS...
    #1 My videos are NOT here to try to force a certain lifestyle on anyone. My long term subscribers have heard me say the words "your life, your rules" in many of my videos. If fapping to adult sites is your thing and you don't feel any negative consequences, then hey, I have absolutely no problems with that, and if that's what you want, you should keep doing that. This is NOT about moralizing or about shaming anyone. Again, your life, your rules. My videos are simply here for those who WANT to give up adult sites because they've noticed it leading to negative consequences in their life, and I'm simply here to share my personal experiences with that. No more, no less.
    #2: My videos are information only and they are not medical advice. If you need such advice, please see a doctor. I'm just a guy who likes to read and learn a lot, and in my videos I simply share my experiences, and what I have learned, with my audience. Again, I'm not a doctor, nor am I an expert and I assume no liability for the application of the information discussed in my videos. ALWAYS do your own research!

    Wow, this video relates to me on so many different levels, than the previous videos. I had around 120 days streak, relapsed once, went another 120+ streak, and then binged in relapses for about 3 weeks. To my surprise, when I went back to nofap, I discovered, that all the things I accomplished during these 240 days were not lost, as I thought they would. It's much harder now to stay on the good path, but also a bit easier, because I am starting it over, but from different starting position. Kudos to You, @ScandinavianBob for sharing the wisdom.

      Try to find other ways of experiencing joy - maybe cold plunges, sports, going into nature, hanging out with friends or doing other fun things. And try ways to rebalance your nervous system and vagus nerve: try breathwork (alternate nostril breathing), meditation, EFT and vagus nerve self massage.

    Relapsed yesterday after 3 months. It was an 8-hour binge. I am determined to make it a slip and not a return of my old habits. I have analyzed where it went wrong, changed my ways and I will just forget it even happened, so I retain my self-image as being the best version of myself. It feels easier this time because putting things in perspective, I had an 8-hour relapse after 3 entire months, this means 99.9962% of the time I am not relapsing.
    Adding to your point in this video, would you say it's better to have the mindset that noFAP is one of the many priorities in your life. It's more important to live a fulfilling non-addict life, working out socializing etc, and then you will not WANT to relapse, but if you do its not going to destroy you because it is no longer the central focus of your life. I feel this way is more beneficial long-term, even though short-term I am worried it will cause small relapses as one may not see it as serious anymore. Sort of like the ironic rebound effect you mentioned in one your earlier videos.

    • @ScandinavianBob
      @ScandinavianBob  Месяц назад +1

      Sorry to hear about your 8 hour binge :( But just as you say, let's now focus on NOT making it a point where you return to old habits. A slip is nothing, while changing direction and going backwards would be a big mistake. As you said, look at the big picture, you're actually doing really well. Keep walking the right path....it's an amazing journey.

      You're thinking of it right I think. Especially the %. I remember when there wasnt a day that went by I wasn't at 0%. But now I am arguably at a much higher percent than before, something in the 90s.
      Remember that this whole thing is voluntary. Anything you're doing to get better is good. God, you, your family, whoever should be patient enough with you to help you get better. It has not timetable, so don't stress it, but pat yourself on the back brother, you've made it very far. Further than I in recent years.
      Don't let perfectionism into your head. Continue to think of it as gradual progress and you'll continue to do well, or that's my philosophy anyways

    • @ScandinavianBob
      @ScandinavianBob  Месяц назад

      Things like that are sometimes called "porn substitutes" in the rebooting community. And if you want the fastest possible recovery, things like that are to be avoided. Of course they are not as bad as a real porn session, but when you actively engage in them, seek them out etc, you are mimicking your porn use behavior, which can in turn activate the same porn pathways in your brain that you want to weaken. It's not like they are super bad either, so, a grey area is a good word. I think I will have to make a full video about this to give guys some clarity on it...

    The main reason for binge relapsing is actually because we hold off an addiction for a long while, so the wish to use it excessively grows if we actually do use it. It's as if you have been without food for a long time. In time this binge behavior will reduce though.

    • @ScandinavianBob
      @ScandinavianBob  Месяц назад +1

      Yes, but the deeper point is why it all suddenly breaks after a slip. This is what I'm trying to elaborate on in the video. Our identity plays such a big part, without we even knowing it. It's like Tony Robins say "The strongest force in the human psychology is the need to stay consistent with how we define ourselves". The problem is that 'how we define ourselves' tends to shift after a slip. But we can prevent that IF we are aware of it. It's not just the fact that we have been without the activity for so long that we "miss" it. Although that is a part of it, for sure, it goes a bit deeper than that.

    • @ScandinavianBob
      @ScandinavianBob  Месяц назад +1

      The main thing is to stay away from porn. Try not to think so much about where exactly you are. And keep in mind, many do NoFap just as a means to stay away from porn, while still releasing from normal things, e.g sex with partner or porn-free masturbation. That is also perfectly fine and still 10x better than people who watch porn on a regular basis.

    • @ScandinavianBob
      @ScandinavianBob  Месяц назад +1

      Start with smaller goals. No matter in how bad of a situation, everyone can improve if they start with small enough goals.
      E.g. like first a goal of reaching just one week clean, or even just 5 days.
      Then, if not reaching that goal, analyzing what went wrong, adjust a bit, until finally reaching it. And THEN keep improving from there.
      You need a system you follow where you plan in advance. And then also practice your system, IN ADVANCE for what to do when the urges come (like a fire-drill). Prepare and practice.
      This is what I talk in detail about in my big flagship course, "The 4-Step Porn Crushing System."
      The 4-Step Porn Crushing System is a step-by-step program for the struggling rebooter to stop relapsing and leave the pain behind for good, without having to be afraid of triggers online.
      This is not something I can just explain with a few sentences here in the comment section.
      I know this system can be a bit expensive for some, and you can always learn how to stop relapsing on your own. I mean if I was able to do it then others can too (it took me more than 7 years to figure it out though)
      But, if you’re sick and tired of relapsing and you want someone to show you step-by-step, in an easy way, then you can read more about the this right here 👉 pmoflatline.com/4-stepcom

      @@AsadSayyyad-cm4rd well, automatically I don't think we can imagine porn as real as porn on a screen, so the dopamine hit must be less. I can feel it too it's not as fun...
      Plus I tend to, I think all men tend to be a bit more romantic and add more foreplay into their imaginations than when we're watching porn.
      So it's a better alternative but there's no feeling of confidence like when you've retained for 7-14-21 days.
      But if you're feeling like you're going to fail, might as well do this....
      My main thought that keeps me going in all this is ' I will get absolutely nothing but a cheap high, then people will not like me as much, I'll get less achieved, and I'll be even sadder from baseline dopamine being lower for the next 2.5 days. Why do this to myself? This is self abuse!'
      Then I think of the benefits like when I went 14 days recently, and never had that 'ohhh I wish I had a girlfriend 😭' feeling.
      Instead you actually don't care about them too much , you just kinda view them like cousins. 'Hi cousin ya sure you can whine to me about that'
