The Swiss team is on the left and consists of Alexis Bayard, Theo Brochard, Hadrien Favre, and Max Heinzer and the Hungarian team is on the right and consists of Tibor Andrasfi, Mate Tamas Koch, David Nagy, and Gergely Siklosi.

On the games web site it reported the break due to a protest that the Swiss team made an illegal substitution of an injured fencer, which could lead to a black card and loss of the Swiss team’s silver medal if found against them.

The long delay seems utterly unnecessary: if there were any out the substitution were illegal, the Swiss could be black-carded after the match. If there were no doubt, they should be black-carded immediately.
An utter shambles by the officials.
