Shit happens ,meaning the defendents should pay for being negligent and unsafe,instead of trying to figure out ways out of it

Hi Mr. Frekhtman, I was injured by a concrete truck chute full of wet concrete swung into my right inner lower forearm. I have had an ER Dr, Occupational Dr, as well as an Orthopedic Dr, conclude acute radial palsy nerve damage with possible median nerve damage as well. Negative Xray, thankfully, Dr’s orders not to use my right arm for 8 weeks. I have hired a work comp and personal injury lawyer from the same firm in Minneapolis. Being that it was an injury at work by third party. The Work Comp Pre trial hearing is scheduled for 7/30/24. I don’t need to attend but need to be available by phone. What can I expect? What comes of these hearings? What are the next steps? Etc. The concrete truck driver/chute operator (third party) was more worried asking 4 times if i was ok, meanwhile after immediately telling my foreman with blood running down my arm he replied, “well your arm ain’t cut off is it”? He did not write an injury report. I was on the job 3.5 weeks before being let go due to lack of progression and “not wanting me to get injured on the job”. Sounds like the incident was talked about with my foreman’s superior but never written up formally. Post injury I was numb burning tingling down to my right hand and could barely perform duties but I pushed on trying to prove I wasn’t weak to my crew. Problem is they fired my before I made my claim. I’m not receiving benefits. Is it possible after the pretrial hearing I may receive back pay in work comp benefits? Thanks for all you do!
