No start, no crank, no communication with the Engine Control Module (ECM) and the check engine light doesn't come on when the vehicle is in accessory (Key on/ push in). Need to replace 23280-31020, Fuel Pressure Regulator. this problem also applied to Lexus IS350. Basically, fuel pressure sensor shorted killing 5v ref. Sensor connector is behind left rear of intake. To verify you can disconnect the fuel pressure regulator, engine now from no crank will crank (but of course no start) Reply if you fixed this no start.

Hi. My car was not suddenly clear. After referring to the repair shop, we found that the engine computer has burned and the relationship between the computer and the car starter was cut off. After checking and repairing the computer again, the same happened and the computer was again damaged. The reason for injury is not yet specified. Please help.
Hey. Anyone has any advice for me or suggestions?..I have a 2010 lexus 350gs..changed the alternator..engine doesn't start up...battery works. Power windows..sunroof, horn..engine just clicks...
When the sensor knocks out the parent device, something is wrong with the engineering design. One would think that the design would insulate the computer from overvoltage in the line, individually shutting down the sensor circuit before crashing the computer. In this case I don't know how you knew the lost 5V reference was a cause rather than a consequence of the problem. I keep seeing disconcerting examples of that. Checking power and ground isn't enough before condemning a module or computer....
I did this on my own car and it worked! But for some reason now my interior lights and garage opener don’t work and I have to keep resetting my driver window. If you know anything please help me solve this issue. Thanks in advance.
Does anyone know where you can get the washer to go with this part? My lexus dealer will not sell the sensor or the washer, only the whole fuel rail assembly @ $900. Also was told they would have to remove and replace the fuel injectors as part of the repair. Does anyone know how to get just the washer? The sensor is the only thing that's bad. It's ridiculous to have to pay $3000 just to replace one sensor.
i don’t have any codes popping up, before it was check vcs and it was a wheel speed sensor, then last night i tried starting it and you hear a noise under the hood. and the fuel pump turn on. and the lights that are on are the battery & check engine like that’s it.
My 2008 Lexus is 250 123k miles. I push the start nothing happens, does not say no key detected or anything at all. I can turn my headlights on and i can lock and unlock the car with masterswitch. i can honk the horn. but nothing else. I tried to disconnect ecu but still nothing

Would this also apply to a 2010 is250 that cranks but wont turn over and the fuel pump is fine?
Ever find out what the issue was?
@@johnlol4936 my mechanic originally thought it could be the pump in the engine because of the way the problem presented itself but since it was an expensive part he went a head and tried the pump in the gas tank. Turned out to be that. I had a person I bumped into my buddies apartment complex having the same issues but he replaced the engine pump himself and got it working. Hope this helps.
Does this fix P2009? Or P2017? Just wondering if it’s related
If I replaced the sensor and it still doesn’t turn on what is the problem I got p0087code
Hi. My car was not suddenly clear. After referring to the repair shop, we found that the engine computer has burned and the relationship between the computer and the car starter was cut off. After checking and repairing the computer again, the same happened and the computer was again damaged. The reason for injury is not yet specified. Please help.
Hey bro I have same problem . Did you fix the problem?? Please help me 😢
Yea, Ford does the same thing on some of their vehicles. If done a handful of jobs were 5v ref kills communication with the pcm. Crazy
thx a million !!!
It's ridiculous to have to pay $3000 just to replace one sensor.
i don’t have any codes popping up, before it was check vcs and it was a wheel speed sensor, then last night i tried starting it and you hear a noise under the hood. and the fuel pump turn on. and the lights that are on are the battery & check engine like that’s it.
i have the same exact problem, speed wheel code only. engine cranks but no start. did you ever fix this??
What is the name of the piece? Cómo se llama la pisa ??
Fuel pressure sensor
Mine is not starting but the check engine light is on and its saying throttle actuator control motor would that cause it not to start?
My 2008 Lexus is 250 123k miles. I push the start nothing happens, does not say no key detected or anything at all. I can turn my headlights on and i can lock and unlock the car with masterswitch. i can honk the horn. but nothing else. I tried to disconnect ecu but still nothing
Did you ever find a solution? I have the same issues
I currently have the same issues . How did you fix yours?
Nice one so helpful
Thanks 😊
My 2008 IS250 has problems when in heavy rain. It starts but will not drive, will not go into gear
Is there a Toyota fuel pressure sensor that's compatible ?
It'll turn over and immediately shut off here and there and after that no crank at all.
@@BlaziNxTheO were your brakes stiff? Did you end up fixing??
Do I need to disconnect the battery when I do this process
Would recommend that
bro thanks for the help
Son-of-a-gun. Who would have thought a pressure sensor would bring down a PCM.
Hey oz I’m having the same problem with my car however it happens when I drive my car for about 15 min then it won’t turn back on.it seems when I let it cool down it’ll start back up I tried unplugging that plug from the computer yesterday when it didn’t wanna start I did get a check engine light but the car still didn’t wanna crank at all do you think that sensor could still be the issue???
Help me plsssss
Plug and play ?
You just saved my asss i tell u that i disconnected and it cranked
