Weird right? Who knows what a good team is made out of nowadays. Sometimes you just put unperfect poeple together and they mesh well become perfect (GEN.G). Sometimes you put a insane superteam and they fail completely (NRG).

This is the first year in a while that I’ve paid close attention to VCT but I can’t think of another team that’s participated in every single grand final (regional and international) for the whole year. That’s actually amazing and shows the consistency of GenG. As a Sen fan I hate that we’re in this death bracket with FPX, TH, and GenG but as a valorant fan I’m excited to see the masters grand finals play out again lol. I can’t wait to see GenG with the home crowd advantage this time.

@@infinitymocha I know that they did really bad on the former half of this year but you shouldn't forget the dominance that FNC had last year. Now that GenG got grouped, FNC's dominance last year is still not topped. 2 international wins and a 4rth place finish at Champs is quite the accomplishment.
@@redroman4214 I’m ngl I haven’t been following fnc that much this year so I can’t be too sure on their dominance but for my pickems I had drx qualifying uppers and fnc lowers and I picked correctly .3. Now I’m not saying fnc is shet or bad or anything like that, but if they were that dominant, it’d be more apparent imo. Performing well in your region is one thing but also performing well internationally is another.
@@infinitymocha I'm talking about last year. You did mention that this was the first time you've ever paid attention to vct but FNC did what GenG did this year only better. They literally dominated last year to the point that them getting the Champs trophy was inevitable. It was also a big reason as to why them getting beaten by KC surprised people. It just surprised me to see that you couldn't think of a team that GenG had the same level of dominance when FNC showed better dominance last year which is why I made my comment.
The Shanghai library will be one of the GREATEST venues for an esport ever because the silence was so deafening, I couldn’t help but smile ear to ear every match that GenG won 😊

I watched this tournament but i didnt know all the context behind that post and all that. Really was sad for the players but cant imagine there was anything more satisfying than lifting that trophy in the silence. I personally hope we dont have another tournament in China after this, horrible and disrespectful audience imo

as a chinese fan of pacific valorant since 2020, geng winning in shanghai was really emotional.. it felt so surreal when it happened. I'm glad geng has started to become more liked even though they shouldn't have been so hated in the first place.

I am not a GenG fan but the treatment they got in Shanghai broke my heart 💔 i really wanted them to win it all and silent the Chinese crowd
they didn't silence me tho. the real geng fan who was actually there for them in the arena 🙋♂Each section of the arena was had 150~200 people in them and I was literally the only one supporting geng out of all of them. Also got my banner stolen when I trash talked benjy which probs wasnt the best thing to do

Some regions need a reality check on their behaviors sometimes. Feels like just yesterday, I recall the Brazilian crowd emptying in 2 minutes so FNATIC gave a heart felt speech after they won to nobody. Now Gen G had to power through a crowd of crybabies who were mad over a tweet about an island their communist regime forced the original people of china to go to and it really is a pitiful thing to see.
Hats off to Gen G for their amazing pursuits winning the Pacific region as well as almost winning Madrid, they have a new found support from me for Champions Seoul with their home crowds that I hadn't had for them before.
