Got a Buckhorn showing up tomorrow, if the griffin had a lock bar release also like the golden design caliber it would be worth fighting over, Thanks Kev 😎
Are classic button locks not as strong? And is there usually no detent? If there is no detent does that make the action of opening not as snappy or satisfying?
Yes classic button locks have weaker lockup and softer detents usually. The detent comes from a spring so it just doesn’t feel as crisp as a liner lock or framelock or compression lock with a detent ball and detent hole. So, yes they are not as snappy and def not as satisfying. But ppl love them because they drop shut and close without ur fingers in the blade path.
No worries man. Probably mid july. They were supposed to be shipped weeks ago but we were told it was a miscommunication. Now shipping end of the month. Just stay tuned to TPK and my IG or YT. You wont miss it.
I prefer the Griffin V2. Both are larger but Griffin handles better for me. You will get better heat treatment/steel/factory edge on the Padre. Better fidget on the Griffin. So depends what you value more

I just wanted to note that the Karbon Buckhorn does not have magnets. They are screws. I will show this in an upcoming video where I disassemble it.
Feels like a new era for button locks. I am so glad and looking forward to more!
Griffin is beautiful, neeeeeed! 🤩
The backspacer slides down over those nubs to help hold the scales together, how cool is that ?
It is cool!
Sick! 2024 is turning out to be the year of the button compression/liner lock just as I hoped!❤
Like that Griffin perfect size for me, as a lefty absolutely love the liner/button has fast become my favorite lock
I have the Triad V2. Besides the new type of button lock, the V2 is missing the back flipper that was on the original version.
Oh yea? I didn’t notice. Thanks
I’m kinda into the buck horn. I wasn’t crazy about it at first but the more I see it the more I like it
I wish they made a sub 8 inch version of the carbon like a 3 to 3.5 inch blade then I’d be all in
I got the Aurora Truffles, that’s another button lock with surprisingly nice, consistent detent break
Yes because it uses a lockbar and detent like these just with a button on the pivot and its a little backwards in design. Very cool
I am going to have to get a Buckhorn. I do wish it was m390 instead of S35VN
Got a Buckhorn showing up tomorrow, if the griffin had a lock bar release also like the golden design caliber it would be worth fighting over, Thanks Kev 😎
Thanks for sharing
Ok, I'm getting a Triad now that it has a stronger detent.
The new Les George knife is sick. Looks like a $1000 custom. $275 is a great price for a knife like that. 👍👍💪💪🔥🔥
Which one?
@@LeftyEDC you really have to ask. Lol.
@@LeftyEDC Les George, I said that in the first comment. Lol
@@paulmills426i know who. which knife? I don’t know about a new les george knife.
@@LeftyEDC It's in your thumbnail. Lol
Have u tried the we exciton button lock with amazing feel. I mean really gd. We ziffius is similar. Kicks out hard.
Yup. Cool knives
Totally agree the button lock plunge lock whatever you want to call it was terrible. This is far superior all around.
Na, companies that cared to make a tool and not a toy for y’all, are just fine. Try a we or civivi.
Huh? The plunge lock is much weaker than these so if you want a tool, this makes more sense. Not sure what your point was though
Point plunge locks suck.
@@dynamicdiversion9919i was replying to the guy that replied to you. Was agreeing with you
There are still some buck horns at atlantic knife
I kinda like the buckshot looking pivot
better than normal button locks
I like the blade on Ken's knife but something about all that stuff on the handle is a bit much for me.
I don’t think the top liner lock is a fad. It’s gonna have legs.
I hope so
lol I search everyday for the new lush release I seriously cannot miss the next drop there is not a knife I want more
No worries man. Probably mid july. They were supposed to be shipped weeks ago but we were told it was a miscommunication. Now shipping end of the month. Just stay tuned to TPK and my IG or YT. You wont miss it.
@@LeftyEDC thank you! It’s the only thing ive been looking forward to
Griffin or Padre help me decide
I prefer the Griffin V2. Both are larger but Griffin handles better for me. You will get better heat treatment/steel/factory edge on the Padre. Better fidget on the Griffin. So depends what you value more
@@LeftyEDC sweet... thanks for the reply and I'm hoping for a mini griffin in the future
