Thanks for the heartseeker build guide. Very fun build, maybe the best I've played to date. I hope they don't nerf it. I would like to play it in future seasons also.
It will, at some point get nerfed. But there's no telling when. The double dipping on victimize was never intended mechanic.
been enjoying heartseeker myself and I'm sure it will be nerfed but definitely not this season. I know blizzard realizes people have invested way too much into gearing their characters at this point and just nerfing a build mid season would be more of a negative impact than a positive one.
@@chrishaugh1655 we don't know what blizzard is thinking. Nerfing one of the most fun builds is not helping the game imho. Before the season victimize was trash, now it's not, if they want it to be trash again I guess they can nerf it.

Been using accursed touch the whole time for vulnerable haha. Wasn’t sure if it was the right move at the time over elements. Thanks for the I do wud!
Dont understand its better to play accursed touch and switch the affix lucky hit to make vulnérable ?

Hope they dont fix the double dipping this season at least. Makes me not want to invest further into heart seeker at this rate. Already spent time on Rapidfire and then it just got worse. UGHH

Yeah, I gave up concussive strikes for accursed touch a while ago. Like you said, once enemies started having more life, particularly the pit bosses, I found that the vulnerable from the exploit glyph would drop off before I could finish them off. Then, It was challenging to get vulnerable applied consistently before the cooldown timer for exploit expired. Accursed touch fixes that issue, and I don't have a worry about tempering or rolling for chances to apply vulnerable on my gear.
Hi, Wudi. i was wondering if this breakpoint for grabbing additive over vulnerable also occurs with Crit Damage?

I can’t wait to see how they fix rapid fire. As a RF rouge this pleases me because it feels like it randomly targets things and when it does, it damages behind the target instead and misses all dps.
That's y I dont use that ring .Btw u can still push tier 100 pit in rapidfire withour the ring , I just did .
+damage and vulnerable damage are in the same additive damage multiplier and vulnerable damage interacts with victimize and everything else +damage interacts with. How can +damage overtake vulnerable damage at some point?
+ basic damage roll on topaz is more than 2x higher than vuln on sapphire, and victimize passive also scales of the original damage of hs, which is basic skill, so it makes sense
vulnerable is its own bucket isnt it? but even if its the same, vuln gets the base heartseeker hit dmg up that is the base for victimize, so higher base dmg means also higher victimize dmg. vuln also makes the multiplier for victimize bigger but lets say victimize does 10x the dmg of the base hit, if you get 20% more dmg on base hit thats 20% dmg increase for victimize as well. while vuln is a lower stat on gems that might be only 10% dmg increase on base hit which would equall something like 11% more dmg on victimize hit bc of vuln scaling.
my explanation probably sucks, maybe someone can sum it up better :D

Hopefully they don't completely mess up the rapid fire 'fix' again. I got screwed over when I transitioned into a RF rouge on 27th-May... Yeah.. not fun at all when you've spent your gold and all tempering and masterworking gear for a build that got broken completely the next day. I'm just thankful that I had saved gear for a Heartseeker build and a reset scroll and could move into a HS build though it was quite weak since I got hit with the masterwork bug until I found out how to reset that by doing a low level pit.
RF is really good even without scoundrels kiss, no need to change. I see this a lot, because a planner tells you something and now the game changes, people abandon it. There's other ways to play a very strong RF build.
@@CloudK23 RF is decent except when they bugged the 'accuracy' so you can't even hit where you're aiming.
Just miffed that they did it the very next day after I transitioned into the build. I'm rather happy with the HS build and had quite a fair bit of fun with barrage whilst leveling. Now just building my alt barb so I can't be too arsed about going back to RF.
me too, changed to RF the night before the patch, it was so fun to play and they completely nuetered it haha, if only you could save specs I could have gone back to barrage while they fixed RF but like most I rerolled an alt.
You can also reset master work bug by traveling to a different town.
@@BenaresDarkness That didn't work for me but I just ran a level 1 pit and that worked fine.
I did actually try RF for levelling but switched back to barrage because the repeating aspect richochet didn't work at all and it was just painful to play.
Not to mention that barrage doesn't lock you for animation because it spawns a 'clone' to fire the barrage whereas RF does.
rapid fire with the unique ring is unplayable on console, set distance shots fire over the heads of minions close to you
Forget heartseeker. Use forceful arrow with the vulnerable upgrade. It bunches enemies up. When a pack comes at you just shoot the front one, they become a big mob and then explode them all. I have two setups, one for the ring and one for not, and after going back and forth for 3 days testing it, it's way better with the ring both for trash and for bosses. I do run DS with the exploding aspect that takes care of the small number of mobs that get to me. I'm on console too, btw.
I’ve spent a stupid amount of time getting as close to perfect gear as possible for a barrage build and it just can’t compete with damage output from other classes. I probably average 7-9M crits.while other classes are hitting billions it seems. Even a small buff would be welcome for speed running higher than Pit 80
In the same boat with you there. However barrage is fun and after all that time I just sit back and enjoy killing everything. I do agree though. It could seriously use a buff.
@@jonathangarza1656 It’s most fun for me as well. Barrage build feels smooth to play, and it also requires skill to kill Uber Lillith.
1 Royal Sapphire add %25-28x between victimize dmg+ 1 Royal Topaz %30+ additive basic dmg . I tested both and couldn't see any noticeable difference.Wear whatever color you like :D
Which attack speed cap does the +16% to enhanced Heartseeker contribute to? It’s not shown on maxroll or anywhere else as far as I can tell
@wudijo - i currently leveling and playing your in Incinerate Sorc - there is also one of the vulnerable stats on one ring - should we switch away from this stat now and use the mentioned aspect? when yes: which aspect should we kick for it?
Lucky hit is about 60% after potion and felt a "slight" difference was wondering what happened.
I've been using 1 un-masterworked affix the entire season and have 100% uptime on vuln. Get your APS to a high breakpoint and 85% lucky hit. You'll be fine.

Lucky hit vulnerable works the same as before, it's duration just got reduced. Not really a big deal though.
Tried your barrage build first and was really fun but was really weak for an average player such as myself. Went to rapid fire and thought that was kinda fun then tried to play solo and couldnt hit enemies when they were directly in front of me the Rapid fire felt super clunky feels like they changed the animation from Beta? Then moved to heart seeker and was like wtf OP plz nerf lol felt so overpowered compared to the other specs the CC was absolutely wild and could do way higher pit. Tried to play my blizz sorc again but felt so weak even doing pits 20-30 lower than rogue I hope they balance out the classes and the specs a bit more so there isn't this massive gap in power levels.
On maxroll rapid fire build, if we are running shaco do we put lucky hit chance on a ring or is it fine with no bonus lucky ? It says have one ring with lucky vuln. as well so not sure which to prio
Swap out frostbitten for smiting aspect to increase the crowd control duration. Works very well.
@wudijo Would this aspect also be useful for Penetrating Shot build?
Always used the curse touched affix so I never knew some people had a problem lol the more you learn I guess
Inner calm used to count up 1/3 of the increase every second you were still, now nothing happens for 3 seconds - not as good as it used to be

I feel like scoundrels kiss should’ve been a unique for flurry, when you cast flurry it shoots lobs everywhere in every direction, maybe a little broken for trash mobs but would still be kinda weak on bosses so kinda balanced
Since Element aspect is not as that mandatory, bringing Doombringer as a sword for sustain would it be a viable option (even with the vulnerable lost)?
You will lose 2x vulnerable affixes and caltrops duration, not worth it imo.
The most important thing: Can you please post exact transmog/color set that goes so nice with wings? :D

accursed touch is fun, i switch on and off with elements but enjoyed the accursed touch more.
Been rocking a RF rogue the last bit. Didn't know there was a scoundrel's bug? What are the details on that?

at the start of the season it would shoot the exploding arrows in a radius so if there were big mob groups it would kill alot of them and also could hit all arrows on one boss but an update after that made the arrows go everywhere but where u aimed it at randomly so they tried fixing it but the fix was having all the arrows shoot at one spot on top of eachother which meant it was harder to do pit dungeons cause it became mostly single target which is what their trying to fix rn
Long story short, RF rogue used to have big AOE clear. They made a change and now it only hits a specific spot and it can be a pain to clear large groups. RF rogues are hoping Blizzard reverts it back to the original larger AOE clear with a fix.
Were there any changes to heartseeker? After patching yesterday I totaly destroyed the weekly dungeon and got up to dungeon level 65 (50 before) and Pit 12 (7 before) without any gear upgrades. Stuff now just melts w/o any trouble and Im only 91 with like 18k ap and 900ish % to vuln targets
Victimize is double dipping in dmg buckets. So it will be fixed some time in the future

@@cgerman agreed. I think the main thing about the build that intrigues me is that it’s a basic skill build. They did mention in the past they wanted to make more builds viable including basic skill ones.

Blizzard apparently never met a viable Rogue build that they didn't want to nerf. Once again, Sorc you can be invincible, Barb you can hit for 3 billion damage but god forbid you proc Victimize too much. Seriously, these people.

Eh, sorc is in worse shape than rogue, terrible survivability in high level content, getting one-shotted all the time even through capped armour and resists, unless you spend insane amounts of time and effort to make a cheesy infinite flame shield uptime build, which isn’t quick or easy to achieve

I am using ur site maxroll for quite a long time and I am very happy with it using it a lot for D2 but for D4 i can't find a Eternal realm endgame tierlist wich i really would like too have
And...there is a PVP section for D4 with a text there will be PVP guides before season 1 stay tuned...

There's no difference between the eternal realm and seasonal realm this season, so any of the seasonal builds are fine

Anyone in Rogue community able to help me? I killed lillith yesterday (6/15/2024) and today i am struggling to even do tier 85 pits and i didnt change anything since yesterday...but im now doing like no damage at all with Heartseeker...

So if you have 1500 vulnerable damage in town then you should socked topaz in your weapons. Did I get that right?
From 1450+ vuln you should socket topaz in all weapon sockets 👍

How much do dual daggers vs dual swords matter on HS rogue?
Very little. The only difference of significance is the animation speed of dash and shadowstep.
Sorry I don't agree. When your heartseekers are casting at 4.5 casts per second, have 80+% chance to cast twice and then each of those hits ricochet, then you're still going to keep enemies vulnerable no problems.
Hope this happen only with rogues, that way I have to delete only one character.

Use whatever has the better stats, but assuming the stats are equal, daggers.
Swords for implicit vulnerable damage.

they will **try** to fix RF for a third time. At this point I doubt they can even revert it back without fk up given how incompetent they are. The dev assigned to RF must be the monkey's floor they ask a rng number evry time they need to balance something.
Like on God can they please for the love of God delete the anniversary Buffs or increase the visible buffs in buffbar? I cant see anything anymore barely playable

Having one build be the top build is boring. Build diversity with multiple builds competing to be the top is a much better system design than isolating one set route to the end game content. I want my ideas to work not follow someone else's.
They need to bring back melee sorcs and rogues this kiting playstyle in the last few seasons is boring.
Blast trappers is a good option to counter this reduction in vulnerable uptime as well. Its not as omega min maxed as using elements but it adds quite a bit of QoL.
Some of these people crack me up complaining bc they didn't here the information that they wanted to hear lol.. heres a thought how about next season ypu make your own build, skill tree, and paragon board... Wiudijo gives all this information and shares his builds for free... my guess is most of you complaining dont even support him on twitch with a sub every now and again and probably use his builds every season.. I myself am thankful that Wudijo puts out these FREE informational videos and build planners to help the Diablo Community and am appreciate his knowledge... maybe If you didn't get the exact answer you were looking for you could post your phone number and im sure he will call you soon with the information that you seek and a sincere apology since im sure his day revolves completely around making you happy 😆

Blizzard needs to learn to stop nerfing and to start buffing. No one can even come close to clearing 150, some builds barely clearing 120 and they wanna nerf stuff? People will never reach 200. Even with god gear etc. Its kinda crazy to think they are still thinking of nerfing stuff.

thats fixing , not nerfing. And thats the point, to be extremely hard to clear 150+. You need to learn to stop whine about making the game easier just for you

I was blesssed with a god amulets. Ga fridget which master worked up to 8, exploit at 5 and malice at 5. Currently heart seeker but if change it to exploit when doing rapid fire. Also have a 4Ga scoundrels kiss and 3 ga sky hunter, 3 Ga grasp shadow which hit core skills at 6 and master worked to 9. My over rapid fire lvl is at 25 with shako.

@@tru_savage2255 I actually got the grasp from someone when I traded a 2Ga vulnerable/attack speed ring for it. I had double on ring and I’m currently on heart seeker but was collecting for rapid fire especially if they fix bug on victimize. Everything else is yes either high pits or just mindless helltidez grinding. What I want to test tho for rapid fire is the exploit ga sky hunter and see if it’s stronger staking exploit since I have a godly amulet or using a reg 2Ga or 3ga crowsbow with crits etc. I’m thinking sky hunter will do more if I get lucky enough to stack exploit beyond 5. So with now it’s 8 but if I hit luckily then possibly 10-11.

This vulnerable scaling bug, does anyone know if it applies to Barb Gushing Wounds and crit damage as well? This would explain why Rob always points to his tooltip crit damage, which otherwise would not make sense 🤔
Don’t think Rob is someone to listen to when it comes to game mechanics.
@r3dr3drose Maybe he doesn't exactly know the "why", but he usually knows how to find the build with the most damage. He's also not working alone on those things, he has smart backup ;)
@r3dr3drose so I finally sat down and tested it myself... and indeed Gushing Wounds is scaling with the tooltip damage, so it does actually take your additive crit AND your multiplicative crit into account! Data is pretty clear, 11x instead of 6x 😱

What does “original behaviour of scoundrel’s kiss” mean? Not everyone plays 24/7 and does understand that.
Such bad way to "fix" issues mid season.....i mean all the people who farmed for rapid fire....its been very broke. If they take thesee chamges and apply what you said...all the farming for heartseeker lost.. the average player to min/max takes a minute..plus gear. Kinda silly to do to your fanbase because you allow broken things to go out... so f the players . We messed up. Like builds for this game just need to be solid.. not based on trash values that someone realized is not working.....what a way to ruine a great start to the season...break everything because it was broken to begin with and players built around the broken portion...happens to be a beneift currently but not always the case. Blows my mind to see how lost the devs usually are.... more Q&A on these games would be greatly appreciated so I dont spend 90 hours on a build onky to have it be trash before mid season.....😅😳🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ what type of practice is that.......

Honestly didnt notice nerf still speed farming 100 pits in 4 to 5 mins. In town i have 50% attack speed 60% crit and 40% lucky hit. 1547% vulnerable with no malice. Going to be nice i just have to change one of my rings to gain more lucky hit and crit due to that affix not working anymore. Cursed touch will definitely make the damage shoot up. I havent fixed anything yet and i proc 184 million victimize procs on boss and kill first stagger phase. Basically get your gear and stats up and its still very strong because i didnt notice there was a nerf until i watched this video just now 😅
You have way too much crit chance. You should be farming 100 in 2.5 to 3 mins so take that as you will

So to sum up, heartseeker sucks now and rapid fire is the only logical build for pits? But, even that sucks until they fix it. Which renders most if not all rogue builds to be trash. I’ve been running barrage but wanted to convert to heartseeker so I’ve saved up gear to make that transition and now that’s not possible given the latest fix/nerf to heartseeker. Please keep us posted and update the builds once there is a viable solution. It would be helpful to have some notes to explain these things in the builder or directly on build on maxroll. I’ve found the heartseeker build on maxroll to be severely lacking for information. Thanks for everything you do but please update and keep us beginners informed. You could have put a note in to explain the 1500% threshold on vulnerable regarding gems so we would understand why we use topaz beyond a certain point.
