ABOUT: These postcards are handmade in my darkroom and are printed on Ilford Postcard paper. I started printing these postcards as a way to print my favorite images to keep in a cigar box. When I print one that I think others would enjoy too, I print off a few more while i’m in the darkroom.
Music: The music featured in this video is actually my own! If you want to hear more of my tunes check out my website.

Is it just me, or is Ilford postcard paper obnoxiously difficult to write on? I've tried all kinds of different pens and pencils, and the thick, waxy coating on the card stock seems to repel every kind of writing implement I try. Pencils can't penetrate the wax, ballpoint pens get gummed up and stop working, marker-type pens take forever to dry and even when they do they still smear easily. Has anybody found a pencil or pen that works well? I love the idea of putting my photos on postcards, but it kind of defeats the purpose if you can't write on the damn things.
Do I need inform postcard paper necessarily? Can I use ilford multi grade rc paper deluxe?
Ahh, that's beautiful!!! Glad I found your channel.
(I might envy you a bit for your unbelievably bright red lights. Greetings from the very dark RA-4 environment :)
Special thanks for your music, dude! I also liked the track "The Road Home". I am sure, now they will enter my tracklist for the printing process ;)
i need to order a box of Ilford's postcard paper.
You just confirmed it !
nice video btw ;)
Got excited when I saw you posted again, wasn't disappointed!

I just received some Ilford postcard stock in the post yesterday! Never used it before but looking forward to trying it. Great to see another video from you, thanks for sharing!
Ey ya! I was wondering, I don't find any infos ...How do you straighten a picture in the enlarger? is that possible.
I have to enlarge some pictures and unfortunately some of them are not straight .... if you have any tips i will be grateful!
Thankx

I enjoyed the video! Thank you for sharing!
Great work, Chris. I’ve just begun printing and am learning a lot from you. Thanks.
How exciting! Thank you!! Good luck in there!
Nice postcard! Love to see more pls!
Chris, thanks for sharing! Where you do get your Ilford postcard paper?
I get my supplies from freestyle photographic! Thanks!
Oh yeah! Always a pleasure! Love your way of working! If u can, please share more often!
Thank you so much!!
Great idea, well done.
Why dont you use your zonemaster
I was wondering too..
Came here to ask the same question...
I don't want to use the meter exclusively - especially for the postcard videos in hopes that myself and others can learn a more traditional approach to printing rather than relying on a gadget. I want the postcard printing sessions to be relaxed and fun, I'll use the meter on more technical session work.
Ah okay that makes a lot of sense. I guess it's only really worth using if you're working with a paper that's expensive enough that extra test strips are just money down the drain.
Love it, man. Digging the tunes too!
Thank you!!! Been working on some new music lately, it's been a lot of fun!
Nice video and cool shot.
Thank you!
