You should shower with hotter water, this will help the cramps. It’s important to shower during periods every day to clean yourself and to stay fresh during periods. Try hot water / warm water w cramps!

I run in the shower quickly rinse off (I don’t wash my hair during my period bc I won’t make it out of the shower in time) then quickly grab a towel and dry my legs and run to the toilet seat and then get a pad and put it on that way im “safe” while getting ready 😂
What I do is, before I shower, I make sure I prepare an undie with a pad on it. That way as soon as I finish showering, I quickly dry my legs and stomach then put on the undie. Then I can finish drying my body without worrying that my flow is gonna start before I get a pad on. Hope this helps
Personally for me day 1 is very bad. Day 2, sometimes very bad, or it's like it's not even happening. Day 3 in the past has been bad sometimes, but it usually cleared up by then. Now, on day 3, there is no pain.
I personally have more energy to do more self hygiene because I just feel gross and not good so I feel to get in a good mood I want to smell good look good and just feel good so I feel as if self care on my period helps with that!

I instantly put on my pad first when I dry off. You could also just use tampons once you get out if you use them. Idk how they work since I don't use em but I'm sure you can use one when you get out! Since your period takes a pause whenever you're in water and takes a while for it to come back you should be good. I have a moderate-heavy flow and I usually don't bleed alot when I get out of the shower.
I don’t recommend Where Tampons to bed cuz ur supposed to change them abt every 3 hours minimum and they can be a big hygiene problem and sometimes uncomfortable
