I can't believe they're still at it but thanks for all the years of great Sci--FI. Walter looks so old He is 142 years old and an Admiral now. Just think it started in 1967!
All you haters need to go back & take a Red Pill. This Blows Away any of that JJ Abrams Crap. I've been with Trek since TOS first premiered. I've Seen Every Episode of Every series. This is probably the best "fan film" I have ever had the pleasure to watch. Maybe there was no big Hollywood budget. But Guess What? TOS had next to No budget. And the show was still great. Because You Cared about the characters, and what happened to them. And they told great stories. Same thing here. I also liked how they "wove in" all the other _Trek_ universes & still stayed true to the premise of TOS.
You're no fan if you think TOS had "next to No budget". What an idiotic statement from a so-called "fan". For your information, TOS had one of the biggest TV budgets of that era. If you were a real fan, you would have known this. As for this film, if you think this mediocre drek is the best fan film, then you would accept a dog turd as long as it had a Star Trek logo on it.
+Boo Ninny not sure what decade you hail from... but I actually Lived the decade in question, and the production budget for TOS was pretty weak compared to many other Big Three Network series from the same time period. The only reason TOS survived after the first season is because Lucille Ball believed it had potential, and brought it over to Desilu which kept it on the air for two more seasons.
Hope Lanza Partly correct about Lucy, wrong about everything else. They had a big budget for television. The optical effects alone were considered state of the art for the 60's. Howard Anderson company had to come up with a new way to do optical printing to accomodate the special effects needs of the show. After the first pilot, they overhauled the look of the bridge, after the second pilot, they overhauled the uniforms, the phasers and communicators. Sorry, but you're wrong. No low budget TV show does this. I really hate it when people perpetuate this low budget bullshit about the show.
Boo Ninny I remember hearing/seeing/reading interviews *with the actors* (Shatner, Nimoy, & Kelley) from TOS - where they lamented the meager production budget. I would think *they* ought to know what they were talking about...
Hope Lanza If they were talking about a meager budget, they must have been referring to the 3rd season budget, which was indeed slashed as NBC had moved the show to it's 10 pm Friday night slot. That was a death sentence in those days and the show was forced to make cuts to it's production costs. But overall, they had a big budget to start with.
I can't believe I didn't know this exists. Incredible job all the way around. The familiar faces throughout really held this in the Trek universe for me. Great job. It is definitely a tribute to the franchise.
I just saw this for the first time in 2023, and I have to say, it really holds up well, especially with the new vibe/direction current studio-produced star trek shows have gone with the franchise. For example, Lexxa reminds me of La'an Singh from Strange New Worlds and the scientist woman reminds me of Professor Jurati from Picard!!!
Hard to believe that this is a fan-made movie. Brilliant story, good CGI. So much better than the "Kelvin-Timeline" with its much bigger budget. Thanks to all of you who made this movie possible.
Walter Keonig was always one of my favourite characters from the STO series. Seeing him play Pavel Chekov again is a real bit of nostalgia. It has some well know faces from Voyager and STO and promises to be a good fan made series.
Spock was my favorite character from the original series. Canon wise he was the only alien on board, and he was part human and probably the best science officer Starfleet had and had a very calm and cool personality.
You guys did an amazing job. You have captured the heart and soul of what Star Trek is all about: political intrigue, interesting characters, and some amazing visual effects thrown in to boot. Well written, and I think Mr. Russ did a fantastic job directing. I could see on the screen not only the blood, sweat, and tears that must have gone into the making of this film, but also the love and dedication to the ideas behind Star Trek. Thank you all!
I can’t believe it’s fanfiction - having Robert Picardo as the Doctor, Walter König As Pavel Chekow and Tim Russ as Tuvok... congratulations for such stunning work.
Never knew this existed until a month ago. As someone who watched the original Star Trek in real time when it premiered, I still enjoy the franchise in all its diverse incarnations. Thank you for a whole new incarnation!
Absolutely enjoyed this. It's Amazing what was accomplished with the budget. Considering there weren't dozens of episodes to build up some of the details, the exposition was acceptable. I truly hope to see more of this cast and crew!
Never knew this existed till tonight. Watching Walter Koenig (Chekov) brings back so many fond memories of watching him and the other great actors in Star Trek Original series in 1968 as a 12 year old. Thank you from an old Aussie Star Trek fan🖖
His best role was as psi-cop Bester in Babylon 5 though, where he could be a really devious bad guy which the good guys nevertheless had to work together with. It was definetely more acting than in OT Star Trek ...
I didn't know about this at all until about 30 minutes ago. Watching on Roku RUclips at this moment. At 12 we started a letter writing campaign in 1967 when we found out Star Trek was not on the schedule for the next season. Across our school system we lost count at the 2000 mark, in a relatively small city.. Success! We launched another letter campaign in 1969 that sadly that did not work out. I talked to the son of a man that worked at NBC in NYC. He told me there were more letters the second time, a lot more. Of course NBC did not even acknowledged the letters. Your comment started so many memories. Thanks!

The producers and broadcasters know nothing. They analyze shows and determine that they should be cancelled, despite a lot of people watching it. They do not learn from the Original Star Trek. So many video games are the same. Rarely the audience will compel them to make changes. Fallout went through this and altered the ending of one of the series. Some developers listen to the people, but most of these are smaller ones in other countries. Creepy Jar for example does such a great job in listening. They are in Warsaw. The American based ones are mostly deaf and dumb. Bravo to you for making something so fantastic. As a content provider, programmer I wish more than anything that I could have been a part of something like this. So many ideas, but no money, no longer have any hope or optimism. It is Ed Furlong! I always liked him in his movies. Haven't seen him in anything in ages, nice to see him back.
got to say, I actually loved this, and wish it could/would continue. CBS should be ashamed of itself. Fan made stuff like this has launched entire series.
That was great! For a fan made film, I'm amazed at how truly authentic Renegades feels; which is in no small part due to the casting of some of Star Trek's most awesome actors. Looking forward to more - thanks a bunch for this to all involved :)
Yes. For all of you who paid nothing and criticize at will, how about some props for what is, yes, ad hoc, actual Trek? Especially that they got the props so well, and legacy actors too! Maybe you don't buy a ticket and watch on streamflix. Or you only watch once on whatever. But at least they guys are out here hookin' and jabbin' and I think they did an excellent job! Great passion. Great entertainment. Haters go home.
only thing i didnt like bout it was that corin nemec wasnt playing tom paris like he did in voyager yet everyone else played their respective characters. Looking at the cast list chekotay from voyager is also playing a different character.
I didn't know this existed until a week or so ago and I didn't know this was fanmade until I read this. 🤣 That's incredible This is so legit, it has to be canon lol
I don't believe this will satisfy all Trekkies and fans alike but this is very good considering it was made on a low budget. I'm sure they will improve and expand the characters, writing, and stories in the next episodes. I like it even if it has a darker tone, and quality, from an alternative perspective of Gene Roddenberry's vision of the future.
+Codex1 I agree with you on the that one. I watched it again and the script was lacking cohesion and some scenes should have been removed. The acting wasn't great either.
+WideTubeVision4 felt the same. Things could be differ. Hopefully it will grow. And a better budget and better writing to come. But I'll settle in hopes it grows.
+Codex1 The script and story were very good. There were writing issues to be sure but the overall story was easy to follow and interesting. It also didn't include extraneous scenes just to fill time like most Star Trek Fan Fictions. Like most Trek series the overall acting was most serviceable and where it counted the direct knew how to get the best out of the non-com actors. So yes, it wasn't GREAT acting but Trek acting never is. Gates McFadden Marina Sirtis, Robert Duncan Mc Neil, Robert Beltran and others were all shaky to serviceable. Enterprise was worse. Scott Bakula, Jolene Blalock, Linda Park, Antony Montgomery...all awful or under really bad direction episode after episode... So I'll take serviceable any day.
Better by far than Any of the "new" Star Trek flicks the studios have been cranking out. This Labor of Love has all the elements that attracted, and Hooked me on Star Trek from the first season in 1966, Absolutely Stellar!
Wow, thank you so much for the upload ! I’m an “original Trekkie “ and I’ve followed all of the spin offs. This is Awesome with the host of characters from other series. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
As a life long Star Trek fan, I will say that this should have been included in the franchise. having the fans create the plot makes it so much better then having some creative minds decide what we the fans want to see.
I’m 80 so that’s what’s called a long life Star Trek fan and even though three are many orginal actors included in the movies they struggled to hold up the newbies 😢. A really good spin-off is Discovery. The actors are very good and the filming superb
Ichep and Lexxa are badass and that Antarian chick is a hacker babe. Fixer is pretty cool too, with an interesting backstory. A lot of potential with this, thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks to all involved!! I just wish there was more that I could binge watch :)
My hat off to the Star Trek actors and actresses who support and participate fan made movies! We love you! The CGI was excellent, so was music, alien races looked great. Acting varied a lot, from great to not so good, "not so good" is typical to fan made, "great" is rare. Some who I think did really good job: Chasty Ballesteros, Cela Scott, Courtney Peldon, Madison Russ, Tim Russ, Robert Picardo and Bruce Young. The weakness was in the story and screen play. At points the dialogue was not well thought out. But I'm not gonna complain too much of it. Because in the end I enjoyed it, and it was already a great effort and achievement for a fan production.
e22378 Star Trek TV fans are everywhere. My mind is still blown on the high quality of production. Audio, Video, CGI and sets on a relatively low budget.
This is spectacular, another Star Trek series! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It is fabulously done with the same conflicts between Star Fleet Headquarters and the crew of starships. Star Trek lives again!
This is bloody brilliant. Loved seeing some of the Star Trek crew, it added that extra bit of atmosphere and depth. Thank you for giving us this gem on a fraction of the budget. Loved it🤗🤗
Now THIS actually FEELS like Star Trek. Considering the fact, that this is "only" a "Fan Film", this is WAY BEYOND my expectations. Thanks a lot for this. Keep up the good work.
Its about Time!!! Where have you people been?... I need more than 1 pilot, and I bet there is thousand more who wants more of the same! Hard to believe that this Awesome story is going to die out!?...I hope this isn't the last of the Final Frontier...Mouse🐭
I enjoyed this movie very much and I appreciate the actors and production crew who thought enough of the fans to work for free to make it. Thank you....
Well done. The special effects were movie-grade, and the acting was great. It was good seeing so many of the Star Trek races all together, and so many beloved characters from the various series all together.

Wow. Very nice first episode. Amazing. I'm one of the original Trekkies. I saw the first Star Trek on a black & white floor-model tv, and memorized every line of every script in the first year of shows. Nice work. Congratulations to all.
What was the show when they landed in the past, perhaps wild west, when Kirk remembered the people of the past still use money, and they forgot to bring money. Does that sound like anything you remember?
This was so worth my time! Thank you to everyone involved in this production behind and in front of the camera. So much more Star Trek than anything JJA has put out or STD. I would actually pay to see a series based on this. Hear that, CBS? As far as production value is concerned, I think this slides in right between the original series and TNG. The acting was on par with some of the early TNG episodes, but the characters allow for so much development and so does the story. Just tell me one thing: The USS Archer has a shuttle named Porthos, correct. Now I gotta go an watch it again!
Absolutely a great addition oh and i was scrolling down after i gave up reading all the great commends to add mine..... i gave up too many great fans commending on a proper episode of star trek all my hars off to you
Thank you so much Walter Koenig and Tim Russ for bringing us yet another great Star Trek show! The ship and space shots were very well done, and the shots of future San Francisco were beautiful! Please make this series happen! Trek Lives On!

i am a star Trek fan since September 8 1966 the first show and this is very good show .CBS no longer has its CEO that messed up Discovery there may be changes on whose films they support
To Tim Russ: Very Well Done ! I would love to see this story continue. I would hope that the studios would make you their next Star Trek producer for the franchise. Please consider it
It's a crying shame that CBS and Paramount shut down the making of projects like this. In no other fandom have the fans and the series actors collaborated on films together, sharing a common vision, and produced works of this caliber. Instead, they now give us a steady stream of Star Drek.
@@mattraymond2935 I wish they would listen to us and just make a show that shows us what’s happening after Voyager. No weird action to where I’m questioning which Franchise I’m watching, no uncomfortable crying or cringe cursing like Discovery. got to say, I actually loved this, and wish it could/would continue.

So people are supposed to like whatever there is?
I won't condemn it yet(5m08s in),but I AM very sceptical .
only thing i didnt like bout it was that corin nemec wasnt playing tom paris like he did in voyager yet everyone else played their respective characters. Looking at the cast list chekotay from voyager is also playing a different character.
I didn't know this existed until a week or so ago and I didn't know this was fanmade until I read this. 🤣 That's incredible
This is so legit, it has to be canon lol

Beautiful Thank-you
I don't believe this will satisfy all Trekkies and fans alike but this is very good considering it was made on a low budget. I'm sure they will improve and expand the characters, writing, and stories in the next episodes. I like it even if it has a darker tone, and quality, from an alternative perspective of Gene Roddenberry's vision of the future.
CaptainGrimsdale The budget isn't an excuse. If you're producing something on low budget, you make sure the script is solid. The script was terrible.
+Codex1
The script and story were very good.
+saquist Enterprise failed because of the directors/writers couldn't do shit.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!
This is awesome! Are there any more episodes???
Thanks for uploading and the making of this I like it❤☢️
I’ve never watched a fan film Star Trek. This is REALLY FRACKING GOOOOOOOOD. Thank you all involved
It is hard to believe that this is fanfiction. It is certainly high quality, great work by all involved.👍👍
Paramount did shit to this
Tgey don’t care about actors soul and vibes while this has all rights nto be called Star Trek
This was a very good film! I really hope someone picks this up in the future.
THIS is trully a real StarTrek FAN CLUB quality movie , it is definitely the followings of all of them previous movies . JUST AMAZING , Loved it
As a life long Star Trek fan, I will say that this should have been included in the franchise. having the fans create the plot makes it so much better then having some creative minds decide what we the fans want to see.
I’m 80 so that’s what’s called a long life Star Trek fan and even though three are many orginal actors included in the movies they struggled to hold up the newbies 😢. A really good spin-off is Discovery. The actors are very good and the filming superb
As a previous fan said “This woke up my inner Trekkie”. Thanks for your support by making Star Trek exciting and dramatic again.
Good yarn deftly done on a small budget. Congrats to all involved and thanks to Atomic Network for posting.
Top quality....best bit of Trek in ages; think Mr. Rodenberry would be proud!
I understand this is old, but this was AMAZING I want more Star Trek Like this.
Ichep and Lexxa are badass and that Antarian chick is a hacker babe. Fixer is pretty cool too, with an interesting backstory. A lot of potential with this, thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks to all involved!! I just wish there was more that I could binge watch :)
J.L. Allen Oh and nice touch with the Admiral Nimoy Memorial as a new permanent fixture at the Academy!
+J.L. Allen The hacker chick is Andorian.
I find the blueskins. . . intriguing.
Good eye Draco. I realized my goof after I posted but didn't bother to edit -- I knew a fellow trekkie would correct me :)
J.L. Allen :)
Glad to have been of service.
I love seeing ADM Pavel Chekov, Dr. Louis Zimmerman, ADM Owen Paris, and Tuvok again.
Star Trek as it should be.
OMG I really enjoyyed it was awsome! thank you thank you so much!
Very good show - movie what ever you call it. good to see some of my favorite actors still giving a wonderful show.
R.I.P. Grant Imahara. It was nice to see him in this. Great cast. Excellent story and special effects. If this turns into a series, I'm all in!
I knew that was him! I couldn't find his name in the credits.
😂
Courtney Peldon is notoriously one of the worst actors in Trek history, but I agree with you on the rest.
I am a big fan and this is awesome. I grew up on the very first episode.
Corin Nemic makes a damn fine captain.
+Joseph Dickson AMEN! how did they get all those guys to do this? WOW!!!
e22378 Star Trek TV fans are everywhere. My mind is still blown on the high quality of production. Audio, Video, CGI and sets on a relatively low budget.
+Kellymatthew Barnes should have synchronized his crew's Swatches.
+Joseph Dickson Corin Nemec is big good surprise for me in this movie
+Joseph Dickson He reminds me Duras from ST Enterprise, who also didn't wanted to stop chasing Enterprise. :D
This is spectacular, another Star Trek series! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It is fabulously done with the same conflicts between Star Fleet Headquarters and the crew of starships. Star Trek lives again!
It never really died, despite some studio big-wigs efforts.
It is wonderful to see another side of Trek -- especially one with such high quality production values. Keep 'em flying, Icarus!
Thank you,Kool Story and extra Kool to have some familiar Characters from various Trek Series👍🏽💥
Thanks for your support Ulrich!
Its about Time!!! Where have you people been?... I need more than 1 pilot, and I bet there is thousand more who wants more of the same! Hard to believe that this Awesome story is going to die out!?...I hope this isn't the last of the Final Frontier...Mouse🐭
@@MouseB you can only have one pilot, after that they are called episodes. Smfh
@@stacybaldwin3346 Star Trek had two pilots.
It is not the Star Trek I knew!
I enjoyed this movie very much and I appreciate the actors and production crew who thought enough of the fans to work for free to make it. Thank you....
this dos look good ill look at it when I have time
Couple years later, I still re-watch this one… THIS is the Trek we all deserved!!!
Finally a REALLY well done follow-on ! MAKE MORE GUYS !!!
This was so good... Can't wait for more episodes of this. A perfect follow up of the Voyager era.

So many great faces from the past, as well as numerous exciting new characters!
Can't believe i'm seeing so many famous faces. Chekov. Tuvok. Ichip! Freakin' legends!!!

+Ku Dastardly I didn't either but who was he? plot hole.

Thank you so much Walter Koenig and Tim Russ for bringing us yet another great Star Trek show! The ship and space shots were very well done, and the shots of future San Francisco were beautiful! Please make this series happen! Trek Lives On!
I think I liked this even better than Of Gods And Men, and I LOVED Of Gods And Men! Please, sirs, may I have some more?
+wade burk Not to be mean but you need to work on you story and character development more and spend less on CGI and effect.
Thanks Wade! Glad you enjoyed it :)
I agree
May God still bless you I love you too
I watched this a couple of years ago, it is a great film, love it and just watched it again.
What a real treat getting back into the saddle of a Star Trek program. This was a super super surprise. How do I tap into more episodes. Don´t want it to end..
As much as I would like to bash the special effects on this, I can't. It was pretty good and will look forward to more episodes!
Actually quite enjoyed this. Thank you guys for doing this. Keep it up!

Amazing work! Bravo.
Amazingly done, For an indie production It's very well done.

+bayushizero Kung Fury does not need advertising. It's one of the most known and successful indie productions ever. And anyway - I just used it as a comparison.
+bayushizero also: "Nobody cares" means, YOU don't care. This is your god given right - but don't be so arrogant to assume if the rest of mankind does or does not care. You're logic is flawed!

i am a star Trek fan since September 8 1966 the first show and this is very good show .CBS no longer has its CEO that messed up Discovery there may be changes on whose films they support
To Tim Russ: Very Well Done ! I would love to see this story continue. I would hope that the studios would make you their next Star Trek producer for the franchise. Please consider it
Thank you so much for this terrific story. A world where humanity reaches across the stars .... yay
It's a crying shame that CBS and Paramount shut down the making of projects like this. In no other fandom have the fans and the series actors collaborated on films together, sharing a common vision, and produced works of this caliber. Instead, they now give us a steady stream of Star Drek.
the fans make better content. newer CBS and Paramount stuff is just bad
@@mattraymond2935 I wish they would listen to us and just make a show that shows us what’s happening after Voyager. No weird action to where I’m questioning which Franchise I’m watching, no uncomfortable crying or cringe cursing like Discovery. No bickering in a ready room please have characters who are professional and truly portray the professionalism of star fleet. Something episodic but if you want an Arc thrown in have a war with the Breen are make up a new threat from another quadrant. There’s just so much good they can do and yet they fail miserably.
