• PLANTING the FIRST COR...
This was my favourite time of the year in early Spring when I used to work on arable farms here in the UK.
We had 2 x Case IH Magnums, several Ford & Massey Ferguson and Case IH 4 wheel drive tractors working on Spring Tillage / Planting.
There was no GPS guidance then, you had to use the steering wheel all day 😊
Jason You entering now again a very interesting season of planting, very nice to follow and see how the crops been prepared, planted, sprayed and eventually harvested, thanks very much
I farm in central California. We run 2 case 9370 Stiegers and a 9380 that pull case 770 discs and then we put the rows up to pre irrigate for the corn, and after a few days of drying we come and run a disc bedder behind a case puma 200 then we run a mulcher over the rows to break up any clumps, then we role down the beds so they’re flat for the corn planter. We plant with a 180 puma and a white 8 row planter! Pretty big process to get the corn planted in dry California!
Government probably doesn’t make any easier for you all over that way either. I hear they are trying to fully outlaw heavy equipment diesels.
@@AndyCrumbaker yes it’s very frustrating! They r also limiting our water usage
@@theblindfarmer2151 are they going to try to shut down farmers using pre emission tractors and combines yet?
@@AndyCrumbaker so pretty much how it works is if you turn in an old pre emissions tractor you can get a new one for a really good deal but we are trying to keep some of the bigger tillage tractors that are pre emissions because as I’m sure you know they’re much more reliable however we have traded a few smaller ones such as the planter tractors and some feed tractors for the dairy!
@@theblindfarmer2151 yeah I get that. We only have one tractor that’s full on emissions with def. It’s a 235 magnum with 1200 hours on it. It does seem to cause us more issues than the older rigs do. Plus every issue it has pretty much requires a service call. Older tractors we can usually diagnose and handle ourselves.
Thanks, for the detail on the planter etc. It’s good to know spring is coming, still too cold in central Iowa. I noticed the green grass on the roadside in the beginning.
Awesome way to start the day. Thanks Jason 👍🏻.
Thank you Scott. Glad you caught the premier.
It's great to see spring field work going!
We use a 1466 with a 24ft disk and a john deere 7000 6 row planter for corn and a 986 international to pull a 15ft great plains drill for beans
Very nice line up 👍👍
Good machines.
Thank you. Red power 💪 ‼️
The early riser planter is an impressive machine👍 great to see spring field work again, thanks for the video😁👍
Thank you for the video, Jason.
Wow seems odd! We here in South Central Manitoba all the equipment is still parked and we still have huge snow drifts! Thanks for the video!
Pozdrawiam z Polski. Pokazujesz nie niesamowite maszyny u nas nie spotykane.
We still have a foot and a half of snow to melt we’re hoping spring eventually comes East Central Minnesota
The guys are trying to get started here in Indiana. Rainy weather up here and in the 40 degree range. Great video.
And so the season begins!!
Come a long way since John Deere
4840 And a 12 row 7000 planter.
And that was a big rig in the mid to
late 70s.
Definitely like watching the Space Shuttle hitting the Flat Lands going on forever now.
Bom dia
Os serviços de vcs são muito bom mesmo
Dou valor
Os tratores são gigantes,,
Thank you for your videos Bigtractorpower they are the best
Thank you for watching.
Thanks for the video BTP! Very informative
Thank you for watching.
This makes me want to play fs22
😁👍👍
Seems a little too early, even for Kentucky, it still freezes in my area into May.
That's what I was thinking. But today's seeds been genetically modified so much it could probably survive nuclear winter lol.
Looking forward to seeing the new big bud out working !
Amazing 👍
👋 hi 👋 from Dexter,Missouri my friend.
Super amazin video 😎 as alAways.
Have a super amazein 🌉night.
Great to whatch new farming technology 👌
Great video, nice to learn from it, thanks janson
Thank you for watching.
Love seeing red
Red Power 😁👍
For spring crops we either plow or use a "high disturbance" subsoiler in autumn and in the spring we usualy use either a seedbed preparation cultivator (combinator or "kompactor")or a powerharrow
Earliest I ever remember planting corn was middle of April in Indiana.
The earliest I have seen here was 2/29 in 2016. Typically we are mid March through early April depending on rain.
Big Red Equipment.... ☺️😋😍

Planting corn there and we are covered in snow yet here in northern Alberta!! Lol. Be nice if it would melt so we could see the grass again.
Obigado marie fq com deus para sempre amem
Hello everyone good vidéo big tractor power great vidéo
Still snow on ground in southeast Wisconsin ! Soon thou soon...
Excellent work 👍🍀🙏
Thank you for watching.
If your ever in the lee/henry County area in south east iowa, theres alot of old john deere tractors that can be seen down there.
now the spring itch to get plannting just got worse! waiting on ohio to warm up and dry out still lol
good morning from washington state 👍👍👍
Good morning. Thank you for watching.
How much do the commodity tanks on the planer hold ? . I'm wondering if it holds as much as a tow behind commodity tanks like a JD 1910 cart that has the 3 commodity tanks. Thanks for all your great videos and information on the different equipment . I used to operate the equipment before they had any computers
CCS planters usually hold 100 units or two pro boxes of seed. New Deere planters after MY22 hold 130 units
Still to early for us here in north central Indiana
Hopefully warmer weather is just around the corner.
@@bigtractorpower sure hope so 👍
Is he calling the name of the tractors "Case -ite" ? Or is the robotic narrator just confused? "I-H" means International Harvester and isn't a word!
Not a robot narrator.
I’m just small time using a jd 2940 an a 4 row jd 7000 conservation planter planting mostly no -till an maybe 30-
Very cool planting team. I like the 2000 series. A farm I grew up but bought a 2240 to run a rock picker and baler. They still use the 2240 today. Your 2940 and 7000 would be a cool set up to make a BTP video on.
Nothin like an even tillage depth with the wings flapping like that
The jobs done now and the seed planted.
Still snow mobiling planting weeks away
👍👍
I like the size of the muffler.
It is large but you don’t even see it from inside the cab.
Man those row-track tractors just look so odd to me.
Corn planting above 68/80 won't start for another two weeks or more looking at the projected weather forecast.
I like Case.
We will be planting with a John Deere 8360RT and a John Deere DB60 and this year we are going to try dual hybrid
Very nice planting team. My next video is going to feature a DB90.
👍👍
That time of yr again
👍👍
well now i want to move so i can be planting corn right now.
We do no till in Nebraska does that not work in KY?
I hate to tell you this but our corn here in Texas is already about 4 inches tall
That’s great. I enjoy following Texas farming. It’s neat seeing the planting weather in Texas in late February migrate up through Mississippi and Alabama to Tennessee and Kentucky in late March.
Jason needs a respirator mask and a drone. Huffin those chemicals and dodging all that machinery. Hope you got some PPE brother. 🤕🤢😷😃
You’re about 3 weeks late on planting corn compared to to south TX 😂😂😂
I enjoy seeing Texas farming. This of course is not “the” first field but it is this farms first field and it was neat to be there to see the planter roll in.
👏👏👍👍👍👌👌
-20 and 3 feet of snow here yet
Planting corn in mid march ???....wow ...that's pretty risky...since we're having snow predicted for next week
This is the normal planting season here. Mid March into early April. Texas is done pls ring corn.
Corn wheat beans
We have a low temp tonight of 4 degrees Fahrenheit and a high of 35 tomorrow. I think it’s gonna be a while before we are going here😂
Gotta be loving these collapsed natural gas prices *SOMEWHERE* I would think.
hi
have you any way to get work visa to work with you
weres toytractortimes
Hooray 🎉, some new planting content. Yet again, another corn planter video once you've seen 5-10 or even 75 videos you've seen them all. This channel has become quite repetitive and predictable.
People still watches. You don't have to watch. You could have kept scrolling along.
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10 1 John 1 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us. Jesus answered, John 14:6 “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 The rapture is imminent!
I guess the government are still giving the farmers their government handouts…They never have to worry about money, the government always comes through & takes care of them so they can all live their millionaire & billionaire lifestyle like they do….
Sounds like someone who has no clue. What a tool.
All I can suggest to you sir is try not eating for a few days, scavenge around in your city parks, backyard, ditches, etc. and see what you can find to eat. You might have more appreciation for the work farmers and others in the food processing, trucking industry do to give you wholesome, healthy food to eat.
@@chadtosh6831 My small family farm was taken away from me by these crooked, lying, thieving politicians & corporate farmers… I know how game works… I actually got out of my truck, & worked how In the my farm fields, I didn’t get brand new farm equipment every year, I didn’t kiss politicians Ass’s, & lie, cheat, steal from landowners I rented from either… Don’t you tell me what I don’t already know… Look at that farm equipment they have, Farming doesn’t pay that kind of money to live like that… We got military veterans living homeless that sacrifice for our countries freedom…. The politicians & government doesn’t help or take care of them do they… The farmers aren’t helping them out are they… 4 big farming families I know just got back from a million dollar vacations off mine & your tax money that we paid for!
@@christopherevans9119 Your really sad....how can you go thru life with such a negative attitude toward everything? It seems that nothing would make you happy with your life. Your jealousy of what others have really shines in your statements.
@@dmc3742 When you can walk a mile In my shoes, & have the government, politicians, & corporate farmers take away your living & way of life then you would understand how I feel…
Love the Case tractors
It is a nice red power line up.
I am pretty sure the last Deere NF was a 4230. Did Deere produce any NF 30 series utility tractors? Such as 1530 2030 2630 etc.
