G! The People's Key!
Good lesson. I also like your idea about the academy
I like going up and down
G A B G
A B C A
B C D B
C D E C
D E F# D
E F# G E
And so on
Love this, simple and effective, I’m beginning the octave mandolin and this is the closest to instruction I can get!
Thank You!! I'm a 6 yr. guitar player/performer- I also play fiddle, Irish flute/whistle, bodhran and Appalachian Dulcimer/strumstick etc. entering mando this year. I WAS heading over into Eastman Octave mandolin territory, but $$ right now, soooo...I think a "the whore" (loar)😂 mando is in the works for me this summer...then get my chops *pun intended...before shelling out $1k for the Eastman. Thoughts? 🤔
Get an Eastman 305 instead. I know you were asking Barron, but still. Eastman is a very good starter mando.
Yes. Very good. G scale is indeed the one to learn first with D and A close behind. Lots of songs written and performed in C also. Many Jam sessions have lots of people who use key of C to play in.
Do u do any octave mandolin stuff would be cool to see
