Life saver bro... mechanic got scared to do the job and left me stranded on the fix smh ..about to go step by step do it myself thanks for the video man
Great video man. Just did mine, everything went smooth as far as everything back together, bike started and idle for about 1 minute and then it die, now won't start again,
Almost 40K miles on my 10RR and I just heard a weird high pitched whine when it cranks over. Two other videos on RUclips proved it was the starter. Okay, no big deal. My bike is under extended warranty and they are good at making things right. My problem is, I just got the bike back LAST WEEK from the 15K Major Service where they had the tank off and replaced the fuel pump and removed the air housing to do the valve clearance! Now this!! What a pain in the ass. Everything looks somewhat easy but I am going to pass this off on them. This way, I don't screw it up. From start to finish if you were not recording, how long is this job?
What starter did you use? Where did you get it and cost please... I am finding ones for 300+ bills and that seem a wee bit steep for a small electric motor.
When it comes to starters. I have always only used genuine Kawasaki parts. Even though this seems to be a high failure part, I have not taken a chance with anything aftermarket.

You got it. Just be sure to thread everything with your fingers for a few threads. So you don't cross thread anything.

@@motorich I am going to just pull it and confirm the brushes are bad and buy a brush kit for 50 bucks.
@@GoldenAffirmations it is a very common putting with these bikes
A genuine starter in Australia is $857!! Plus a 6-8 week wait!
@@robertkilley2389 cray cray. They are cheaply made too. Magnets are garbage.
How many miles are on the bike?
I am unsure of the miles
Did you use oem?
