    I've had many different brands and styles over the years. Ferris, Exmark, Walker, Toro and on. My entire current fleet is Wright, we've got Zs and Standers and love them. Simple easy to maintain machine's that are built extremely tough and capable. Our first stander just hit 3000 hrs this past week with the only repairs beyond maintenance being a pto clutch or two and an engine rebuild this past winter as it threw a rod due to a dumbass not checking oil.

    Husqvarna folks, if you’re watching this and reading the comments, this is exactly the kind of feedback you need for a machine that clearly needs a rethink. Brian and Stan do an excellent job here. If you improve on the areas they point out, you’ll be a lot closer to running with the established industry names.
    In terms of what you do with their feedback: I suggest watching Kent Harlan’s review of the Exmark Spreader Sprayer. It’s about 3 years old, and it’s for a completely different product, but the point is to hear Kent’s description of how Exmark responded to critical feedback. He had close and repeated interaction with Exmark engineers, and how Exmark responded is, I think, an excellent tutorial on how companies should solicit feedback and dedicate resources to improving the user experience. I can’t recommend that review strongly enough, as it incorporates direct product use experience with engineering process and redesign to make a more useful, reliable and profitable machine.

    Excellent review.
    You two should collaborate more often. You bounce ideas off one another to cover everything you need to know with no shilling & that’s a pleasant change from 90% of channels out there.
    Great to see things in the real world with folks that use professional equipment on a regular basis.
    Great to hear the maintenance being covered too like the jump start issue.
    At the end of the day time IS money in this game so even if the little things cost you 1 job a week that adds up.
    Cheers

    i used a exmark grandstand with a plow with the safety bar used it for 12 hours straight it took me 30 min to not shut off the mower accidently every 30 sec after that i was fine never did it again. i like the safety bars because when i need to push the mower in the snow i can still drive it without being on the platform. btw i have never used a grandstand ever even mowing, great video stanley.

    Lol, when you said you were going to ruin it I remembered Ed Wright calling me and asking me if I had any stumps in my yard...He came over with one of the Wright Standers, dropped the deck all the way down, and ground out 3-4 stumps in my yard. I think after about 4 the bolt on the blades broke (spindles were fine)...Definitely don't try that at home. I am sure he's abused those mowers way more than you ever have!! They make good stuff!

Augustine grass which gets very thick during the summer. you can't stop the wright stander... the only complaint i have with my wright is when turning it will leave a small strip of grass not cut.... but only when turning.... otherwise I love it. • @mckrackin5324
      @mckrackin5324 5 лет назад +19

      Joe Scheller If the grass is taller than the distance from the back of the blades to the front of the deck,it won't cut it hardly at all. The deck holds the grass down from the cut. That's not a fair test of that particular mower. If you plan to cut tall stiff stuff like that,you need a different machine. Saying it's junk because it won't work outside it's design is not fair. I saw plenty wrong with it but the cut was not one of the things.

    • @daviddeertz3057
      @daviddeertz3057 5 лет назад +7

      @@mckrackin5324 why can a Scag or xmark finish mower cut long stiff grass? Sure you might have to go over it once or twice to get every hair but it should still CUT.

    I just don't think they know how the mower runs or they're that familiar with Husqvarna. They make great mowers and equipment love mine. But as far as the controls go once you know where they are you'll get used to them. And In the safety shut-off put the brake on that way when you get off the mower it doesn't roll down a hill, it will stay running. Next off you're trying to Bush Hog with a mower that supposed to be on lawns not fields Husqvarna makes a bush hog mower for that R322T brush attachment. And make sure you turn on the blades next time. They make great stuff. And there fleet program is great to.

      Corey S. it is fair when most other mowers will cut stuff like that just fine. We use our Deere mower to trim cow pasture edges next to the fence before we brush hog it... and it's mowed just as well as the yard on the other side of the fence in a single pass. I think a lot of it has to do with deck design.

    I think after getting off the machine 15 times it would be second nature to pull the brake. Though the PTO shut off would be better I think you are making a mountain out of a mole hill. Throttle definitely should be moved to the right side. I'm gonna be running this machine this summer so I'll come back in a two months and give a review. For never running a stand on before, whipping it around the parking lot at the dealer today was pretty sweet. Walk behind capability in my area is a great feature, lots of areas I'm going to be utilizing that and I like the brake and deck levels on the same side.

  • @Jrez

    The test you did with the Toro was way easier on the machine than that tall grass you fed to the Husq. The problem is a bit obviously tho if u just look at the front of the mower you can see the taller the grass is, the more the stuff you flatten first is going to flatten the grass behind it. Without some serious suction from the machine or its blade design, taller grass is going to stay laid down and won't get cut.
    Not saying the Husqy is worth the money or anything, but you wanna maintain credibility and show as little bias as possible with the actual test.

    • @JCLawn51

      Tyrrell Roach he is, but on a mower. On mower engines there is a fan on the crank shaft pushing air over the cylinder head and it is all covered in shrouds. Grass will work its way in and if wet will build up and your mower can catch fire. Motorcycles just rely on clean air from the road.

      jamie Feyen every industry has its priorities, as for parking lot designs, you have to understand the lot is driven through and parked in more often then it gets plowed or striped. Nice islands areas often would be convenient for plowing, and parking in strait lines would make stripping easy, however its purpose for ever existing, parking cars efficiently, that ability would be diminished. Priorities boys, that’s what separates industry professionals from service professionals. If we made your job too easy, it wouldn’t be yours for long.

    • @BIGBUCKHT75
      @BIGBUCKHT75 6 лет назад

      Jax Turner I wasn’t implying that they should do that because it would make my job easier, I was saying that as in if they have striped hundred upon hundreds of lots like I have, then maybe they could see where they could have tweaked their design to make parking in that lot more efficient and easier. Just changes that I know would work better because I’m the one completing the design in the real world.
