The voice actor for the game is Keith David from the animated series, but the statement to Joker "Your angel of death awaits" was a direct quote from "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm" and is the statement made by Phantasm before they kill someone. It's an old animated movie (based entirely on the Batman Animated series), and I highly recommend watching it if you haven't already.

Admiral Anderson as well from Mass Effect. His authority laden and gentle gruff voice was a warm welcome every time you spoke with him. Made it even more sad as the series went on. The fact he can fit any style role just by his cadence and feel for the characters with ease villain or good guy just ..YES!

Man I am shocked and speechless by Spawn being a hardcore savage in each intro 🫠 Also there is interesting dialogue with Scorpion and Sub-Zero talking about Injustice series and Noob dealing with “Mk: Deadly Alliances”
At 6:38, the dialogue is a reference to Scorpion & Spawn both being guest characters in other games. Scorpion says "Each has had their own injustices", and he was a guest in Injustice 1. Spawn replies with "Maybe that's why my soul still burns". A catchphrase that is used in the Soul Calibur series is "Does your soul still burn?", and Spawn was a guest in the Xbox version of Soul Calibur 2.
6:40 since you probably didn’t pick it up, Spawn and Scorpion are taking about the times they appeared as guest characters in Soulcalibur 2 and Injustice respectively.
Keith David is such an awesome VA. He's been in a handful of stuff from Disney like Gargoyles, Amphibia and Princess and the Frog. He's been in a lot more stuff but that's just a few.
He was also in Requiem for a Dream which is a tough watch but good film 🫣

I loved Cassie's comeback with "I'm queen shit of f*ck mountain." I also loved Spawn's response to D'Vorah with "Of course you uglies know each other." Because she knew the type of bug that tried to eat him. Spawn also had a good response to Shang Tsung about the party would celebrate Shang Tsung's eternal damnation.
I'm glad you you two reacted to more of Spawn's intro dialogs in MK 11. You loved his responses in another video you reacted to before.

The second dialogue between spawn and sub zero was a reference to a mortal combat game where they did a crossover with dc heroes and they did it again with injustice 2

The Spawn animated show is VERY close to the comic.
At 6:30, Scorpion and Spawn are referencing other games they appeared in. Scorpion was a DLC character in "INJUSTICE: Gods Among Us", while Spawn appeared in the XBox version of "SOULcalibur II" (and all versions in the 2013 re-release).

Ohhhh yes! I've been waiting for this ever since your viewers requested that you react to Spawn's dialogue, and you didn't disappoint, then again when do you? You don't. I've never seen you disappoint your viewers/audience and I'm a relatively new viewer and I've noticed this, and that's one of the things that I like about you and your channel.
Looking through the comments, kinda surprised no one picked up on the Soul Calibur 2 reference when Spawn said "My soul still burns" which is what the announcer says during fights starting in SC.
so, there's an actual Death Battle episode with Spawn where he fights Kratos from God of war. keep in mind that it's the trilogy version of Kratos, and not the recent Kratos.

Spawn's my fav comic book character of all time for his skill, story, and savagery. Plus Keith, an actor I admire, undoubtedly nails the character whenever he voices him. Still hope the series is renewed

I love Cetrian downing him and calling him Malbogia's successor not knowing he actually got much higher than that on the totem pole in the comics... becoming God and all then deciding to go back to being a hellspawn because he felt it was the more direct approach for dealing with the filth of Heaven, Hell, and Earth.
Not to mention, he started Armageddon as well. He's pretty much the strongest character on the roster, in terms of power.

When Spawn Said To Scorpion? “Maybe That’s Why My Soul…Still BUUUURNSSS!!!!”, that is a exact reference to him being in a video game for the first time in COMICBOOK history and he was a guest character in this video game he’s first made his first video game outing ever??? Was Soul Calibur 2…….if y’all didn’t know??? Their are 3 different versions of that game and that game came out in the early 2000s and all versions were GameCube With Link From Legend Of Zelda, PlayStation 2 (PS2) With Heihachi From Tekken & OG Xbox With Spawn From Todd MacFarlands Spawn Comics…….like dude hearing him saying that with his intro convo with Scorpion??? haha, when you look into Spawn, you'll quickly find Violator is his overseer, a brutal demon who makes sure Spawn does his job and becoming a soldier of Hell.
When he visits and talks to Spawn on Earth, he takes the form of a huge, fat clown. That's why Spawn hates clowns.
Also, great video! I'll throw this out there every chance I get, and I'd highly, HIGHLY suggest watching The History of Mortal Kombat (Full Movie) by 616 Entertainment!
He does such a damn good job of covering the franchise and giving background to how many characters came to be.
It gives you a bit more respect for the fighters you see in the franchise, and it has such a great personal ending to the video.

11:46 spawn definitely was giving kung lao help but for some reason this iteration of kung lao is a I can do everything anyone else can but better attitude and it just doesn’t fit him so I’m glad they added this in
Here at 6:35 is such a cool double reference. Scorpion is referencing how he was in the first Injustice game, while Spawn with his responce is referencing to how he was playable in Soulcalibur 2 ("the soul still burns" was a catchphrase the developers used before the release of Soulcalibur 6). The Soulcalibur 2 reference is especially cool to me considering it's been 20 years since that game came out.

Mortal Kombat 11 was no masterpiece but seeing Spawn come into the game did a dream come true. I've been wanting him since Mortal Kombat 9's launch back in high school. To this day, I still occasionally replay Mortal Kombat 11 just to play as Spawn.

Spawn has some of my favorite lines in this, they even reference their other appearances when interacting with Sub Zero and Scorpion bringing up them being DLC in the Injustice games and Spawn being in Soul Calibur 6:39
And even with Raiden who was left out in this, they reference Batman, "R: you remind me of another Dark Knight. S: the billion dollar crusader? he's a friend."
