Just did this job and you actually don't need to take the egr piece off, the intake will squeeze through the gap, just a bit fiddly 🤟

Thanks mate....doing this tomorrow.......people say to soak the plugs in oil first and get engine warm before.....quite hard to do if the manifold is off etc.?

Plenty of WD40 may still snap , I had one snapped ,I had to buy removal tool from eBay

Can you please tell me what tool can be used to remove the unit on top of the EGR valve? The bolt seems to be a T28 at an angle?

Hi yes , need to long t28 , u can’t see the bolts, align the t28 by hand at an angle then use a 1/4 ratchet soon u lose it will be easy turn by hand
