Hey!!,quick question for you...would really appreciate help if you could? There is a wiring harness that runs on top of that engine and a plug that comes off on the middle right side,the plug seems to sit around the front of the fuel filter housing and goes down to the left side front of the egr cooler,do you know what it goes to? Its just a little short wire and plug on the right of the wiring harness and only one in the middle on top of the fuel rail. Ive just done the waterpump and fuel filter housing on this and lost to where this plug goes unless it doesnt on some of these engines?

Did you have to drain the coolant before you took it off? I saw another video from someone saying they had to drain the whole coolant system!

Just did this job and you actually don't need to take the egr piece off, the intake will squeeze through the gap, just a bit fiddly 🤟

how do you know that the egr is bad on that car?

did you come across p02a7 ; am driving van like that over year now (not limode but still half turbo , had it done for vacuum leak before , but am suspecting o2 sensor , have you had o2 sensor problem on this engine before what its symptoms like ? I checked injectors for leak no problem found , your openion in this matter will be appreiated mate

Thanks mate....doing this tomorrow.......people say to soak the plugs in oil first and get engine warm before.....quite hard to do if the manifold is off etc.?

Was the gasket or you replace the entire piece? Mine when is getting too hot is blowing somewhere and i think is from there as i have the egr stuck opened as well

Hey mate do you have video of you cleaning the EGR valve out at all??? Or do you know if it’s even a serviceable cleanable part or do you need to buy new one???

Hi , I got sprinter same model, I have taken egr and manifold out cleaned and put them back now van crank but engine won’t start?

I would of spent hours trying to take it apart separately! Thank you!!

Can you please tell me what tool can be used to remove the unit on top of the EGR valve? The bolt seems to be a T28 at an angle?
