Geez Louise, why all the negativity? I think this is a splendid recording of a splendid work! Yes, the organist does deviate from such things as the exact registration in places, but Dupré was known to do the same in his recordings of his own works in more sizable ways than as happens here ;)
Well played, but this music is so empty and windy... Dupré is to real music what the little masters of French theory are to thought. (It's a French person who says it!)
@@4themusiclovers I think "Dialogues of the Carmeltes" puts him up there with the big boys... and The Stabat Mater too... and the motets... (maybe... even the Gloria...)
Never, never ever have I heard this played so . . . . Badly 🤮 I hope the so-called organist no longer has to live with the shame of having been recorded abusing this work.
I remember : it was when you tried to play _that_ very piece. _We are so lucky, the little people of RUclips, to have access to so many works played on the organ, accompanied and magnified by the advice of so many recognized experts and critics, all over the world._ 🙄

All the negativity, because, so much experts in the world, that are born preciseley to give us their advice and make us grow (they think) !

still... he had influence on other folks... maybe even Durufle... Messiaen... Poulenc.... Hakim....
@@Highinsight7 , small masters too, despite their notoriety - with the exception of Duruflé indeed.
@@4themusiclovers and Poulenc...
@@Highinsight7 , pleasant, and some times very pleasant, but small.
