2:10 The BOA system, if you want it absolutely balls consistent. Put a tiny green or orange mark on the actual cable. Tighten to comfort and rep after rep with it, if it’s good there. Mark it and you know exactly where you cable is marked
My favorite release by far.. I've used the boa one for about two years and something failed on that little wire setup and it slipped and went super tight when I was at full draw and it pinched my median nerve. Thumb and wrist went immediately numb, and it took about a month for it to heal. I just use the leather strap one now. My original one was also a leather strap and I used it for many many years with no issues.
I use a basic release that came with my used bow. But when i bought my wifes setup. It came with this release. Its great and have it tuned with just the slightest tension. Smooth as butter man.
I’ve had a Carter with the boa for a year but in my way now to get a wise guy. The Boa does click but if you cover it or kind of cup your hand and turn it, it’s pretty quiet. Also placing a glove in you palm muffles even more sound. Had deer within 20 yards that never heard me put my release on.
Great information and well presented per your normal. I'll echo what others frequently say in that your reviews and format provide excellent analysis that is easy to compare. I appreciate your content and see your channel growing. Thanks
I am still an old school guy, I like the double hinge Shark Ii from Scott. I bought a single hinge type release like that from Scott and constantly felt like I was Plucking the string. That release looks more rounded so mabey it will make me feel less plucking.
Great video. I was just looking at this release earlier today. I haven't bought a bow yet. Still doing research into archery. I'd love to see you do a video on some reasonably priced sights next. Thanks for the content 🙏 🙌
Nice review. Are you going to start doing release reviews? Check out hot shot archery I use the haze 3 finger with a strap. First thumb release I could get used to and use for hunting.
I was never a fan of the Wiseguy. I could not get it heavy enough to suit me(prefer a heavier trigger). I think it’s a nice release, just not for me. Much prefer a 3 finger Stan, either Shootoff or Onnex. That’s why there is so many types and brands on the market.

I love the Spot Hogg Wise Guy on strap with rigid body.

I shoot the spot Hogg Tuff Guy and I agree that is by far my most favorite release of all time!!

You can also put a towel or something similar over the BOA when you turn an it's will muffle the sound.
Should never have that problem if hunting. Designed to stay on your wrist the entire time
Awesome review, thanks!!
I own probably 4 of the wise guys! I’ve got every style. Absolutely love it. LUke 9:62
Some people like that light trigger. I had one and got ride of it. Light triggers promote punchy pulls.

I’ve had my Wise Guy for almost 6 years I believe and it’s still going. Trigger is pretty light tho so beginners just keep that in mind
Spot Hogg really need an option to increase the weight on this release. Would make it perfect.
Top 3 wrist rockets IMO,… Stan solex ,Carter LIke mike 2 and the SP Wiseguy no particular order
Carter like Mike 2 is up there for sure
Can you mark the wheel to the strap,,,so you are more consistent when attaching the release?
Yes u could which would help with consistency
I wish I could use a wrist strap release. I get target panic just looking at them.

Exactly
Bro I love your reviews. But comfortablilty isn’t a word! Just say comfort! 😂 seriously though, keep up the great work.
Neither is shootability but the archery community has adopted it 😂 and I’m pretty sure comfortability is a word
@@BackyardBows 🤣 it is now!
Youre going to make someone go deaf with that intro.
Turn your volume down
@@BackyardBows sound travels at 767 mph, kinda hard to turn it down before your loud ass video reaches my ears.
@@Lost_Hwasal everyone needs something to complain about
@@BackyardBowsgotta admit that was funny tho. 😂
