No I sold my 1990 Honda accord in 2018 for $800. I wonder if I should’ve have, it was like a collectors item for me, it was in amazing condition altho the transmission was slipping
@@PhilipTamorriamy first car at age 17 was a 1996 Volvo 850 turbo manual wagon… it is still my daily driver 5 years later. Bought for £2k with 112k miles, currently sitting on 131k miles. It needed work but it’s never let me down. I drove that thing every where and still do, it’s pretty clean these days
You and I are roughly the same age. I was 20 when I got my license in 1998; I was a late bloomer. I was a goof off in driver's Ed and didn't get a lot of seat time. My first vehicle was a 1990 Plymouth Sundance, and I wish I kept it (because I literally replaced every part on the vehicle except the frame). That vehicle turned me into a car guy, because I learned every system on a vehicle due to every system failing on that vehicle at one point in time. I actually got the vehicle while I still had my permit. My mother financed it for me so that I could go to college without having to bum a ride with someone else. The 90s were the decade where time should have frozen.
Fooseball and pool! Too many good times brooo.... Got my license in 2001..... First car was a '93 Ford Taurus that I booted around in for about a year and than I got myself a '97 Jetta VR6... Miss those days man
My first car was a 1966 Cadillac Coupe my Father gave me when he bought a 1977 Cadillac Sedan. This was in 1980 i was 19 years old... now at 63 i drive a 2012 Infiniti G37 coupe, I'm still loving the coupe bodies. I'm thinking of buying a 2024 Lexus rc 350 coupe but that all depends on the insurance cost. Always a great video. Stay safe and healthy.
@@PhilipTamorriamy first car was a ‘73 Ford Maverick beater I bought for $750 in 1983…it lasted me for three years while I was in college. One of my friends asked, “Who died in that wreck?” 😂 but it made me appreciate all the nicer cars I got later in life. Everybody should start with a beater (a safe one) for that reason. 😊
11/1977 was 15 on Aug 2, 1977. I had to wait until 1st semester grades because I, too, was not getting along with parental units. I failed French but being an office assistant I got a blank grade form and that F became a B and the next week I had a SC Drivers License ( restricted ) became regular automatically on 16th birthday. Restriction was from 8 pm to 6am required a licensed driver 25 Y/O or older be present in the vehicle. In winter it was 6pm to 6am. Nobody but my parents followed this rule. 1st car a used 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle. Green with white interior and a very leaky Sunroof. Felt like a u-boat captain. First nice car a new 1980 Pace Car Turbo Trans Am.
First car, '83 Impala with a 305 four barrel. Did my drivers test with an '86 Caprice, man I wish I had a back up camera back then, would have made parallel parking a joke. Don't miss those 3 speed automatics though lol.
2015 ford focus my dad bought used for me in 2018. That thing sucked! Rear main seal blew, starter failed, and eventually blew a head gasket this year after being passed to my brother and sister. Only at 86k miles. DO NOT RECOMMEND that car at all but man some good memories.
@@PhilipTamorriayou were talking about how social media has pushed the exotic cars, the super cars. I’m at a point in my life and at a financial reality where I’m looking Hondas and Toyotas for long/term reliability and lower maintenance costs.
