With Extra Options you can go all the way up to Heat Level 10, where there's only Crosses, and the Helicopter stays with you forever until you either destroy it or hide from it somewhere.
@@andrew33845 Not really forever, the helicopter will eventually leave, but it has a 10 second cooldown. Only 1 and rarely 2 crosses can be active at a time after the player at heat 10 and there are no spike strips. You can see those things in vlted.
Ironically they called it "The hardest challenge in the Challenge Series", You can literally just pull a 180 right after it starts and hit the Stadium Pursuit Breaker and you're done! Hardest challenge has to be the one before: you get a 10 minutes pursuit on heat 5 and a solid 20 minutes on heat 6 & you're required not only to survive for 30 minutes but also to escape afterwards!

Heat level 10 is a complete nightmare for MW main character - all police vehicles therr are Cross' Corvettes ;)
TBH those heat levels were probably not finalized, and saw no further work after it was decided our heat can only go up to 5 outside the final Challenge Series Event, or the escape to Palmont.

The worst thing I remember is the heavy police cars suddenly coming from the front. That's why my mind was always in the front, not the back. By the way, I finished the game so many times that I even have a photo of us looking at each other from the helicopter.

I just got the game on the original Xbox and I’m about 70% through it already it’s a nostalgic experience I played it so much as a kid probably beat that game 10 times
Spike Strip blocks is not hard if you know what you are doing, The real problem is heavy Rhino SUV that you have to react REALLY fast(almost immediately) and hit the speedbreaker on time to minimize the damage dealt by them
Eyes always infront when dealing with Heavy Rhinos. Hit the speedbreaker as soon as you see them and inf necessary let them hit your rear left or rear right so that you can just end up sliding instead doing this with RWD cars isnt recommended, use a AWD or FWD car such as the Golf Lancer or Subaru
UG2 probably have the best arcade physics and tuning imo. The tuning is not too complex but there's still a lots of details, and cars drivetrain can be felt noticeably, without going into simulator level of realism. Hopefully next nfs can take UG2 physics as benchmark
The best part about those long heat runs was how Cross would magically spawn back after a few minutes despite his car being blown up, crushed, or waterdrenched

And 2 funny things are: 1st No matter how fast you go they are faster than you, if you go 500kph they'll go 501kph 2nd Game spawns more cars than they're actually produced in real life😂😂😂😂

The police cars you get to use at challenge series are different from the cars the police AI drives. The police AI drives cars meant for AI, that have much higher top speed and acceleration, and are faster at turns compared to the challenge series/made for the player versions you get to use
I feel like forza horizon should have an event where you gotta run from the police and stuff of that nature. I love nfs but grew outta it and into stuff like forza

I'm so disappointed in what the series has become that I just play old NFS, Gran Turismo, and older Forza games. Life was better when games were complete on launch day and didn't rely on partnerships with huge brands to bring the rest of the content in...
I mean, they've got cars that can equip light bars on the top (via sideskirts most of the time), so it'd probably be as simple as taking the AI and changing it from racing you to attacking you.

Interesting fact: The engine sound for police cars is missing by default when they are used by AI. You can manually enable it, you need vltEd for this

Heat 5 is the max for standard gameplay. Anything higher than that is for special occasions like Challenge Series or final segment of the story
