Solid review, as always, Richie. I got myself one of these a few months ago already, but it was nice to see your take on it as well. As usual, your videos are very detailed, no fuss or frills and tells me everything I need to know. I can't say I've used mine quite as much as I'd have liked, but the few times I have used it, it's been brilliant. As you say, very sturdily built and it makes a breeze of cutting and grating anything. Also very easy to clean, although I would recommend sticking it in the dishwasher if you've used it to grate cheese. Especially if it's a little on the softer side, bits of cheese tend to stick in all the tiny crannies and they're a pain to get out by hand. You mentioned a few times in the video to make sure you don't *LOSE* the drive shaft attachment, but I'd like to add a second _very_ important note to that: NB: *DO NOT* forget to *REMOVE* the drive shaft from the Thermomix bowl after you're done with the cutter! I haven't done this myself, but I've seen more than a few people on a Thermomix cooking group I'm on on Facebook post about accidentally blitzing their drive shaft for the cutter. Apparently it's fairly easy to remove the whole Cutter bowl and carry on with emptying out the contents and rinsing, then going about your business, completely forgetting to take the drive shaft out of ol' Thermie. Cue the following day and you've fired it up for a new recipe and start with the usual chopping of garlic/onions and blammo: some nice bits of plastic to go with those chopped onions. 😅 Thanks as always for the continued content!
Hello again, great to see another detailed comment from you. I really appreciate you taking the time to write it. I try not to faff about with videos as people don’t have time to sit and watch me waffle on! They skip over and it really hurts viewer retention. Comments like these, or any comment for that matter, really do help the video, so thanks again. To be honest, I haven’t been using the cutter that much, I’ve been reaching for my 12 in 1 cutter, I’ve a review here on the channel of you want to take a look. I tend to use my thermie much more in the winter so they’ll be much more tm6 content coming up my friend. I do agree with you when it comes to grating cheese, it almost begins to cream it if you get what I mean. As for leaving the drive shaft in the machine….OMG! I hadn’t thought of that and I guess it’s quite easy to do. Imagine the noise it would make! I’m not sure how Vorwerk could work around that one. I’ll definitely keep this in mind the next time I use mine. Thanks again for your continued support 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
Yeah... in the US and recently got a Thermomix and it is one of the best things ever and I've totally communicated with the local rep my interest in this attachment. I'm going to tell you right off the bat: if you are single and don't know how to cook... the Thermomix is for you. Totally worth the initial expense.
Totally agree with you. I actually think the thermomix benefits people who aren’t great cooks more than people who are good cooks. It saves good cooks a lot of time and effort. I class myself as a good cook (dare I say!) and I absolutely love mine. Thanks very much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, would be good to read more from you. Greetings from across the pond 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF

Thanks for this review. I just noticed it is available again to preorder (Australia), but after watching your review, and hearing your points, I am not sure if I should purchase it. We don't make a lot of salads. So thanks for saving me $219... for now :)
Hi Rebecca. You’re welcome, I’m glad it was of some use for you. It’s a good addition, but I guess it’s not for everyone if you’re not cooking certain things regularly like you mentioned. Thanks very much for stopping by and supporting my channel, it’s much appreciated 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
Hi Caroline. I’ve not been feeling much love here of late, so your comment has been very well received and you’re most welcome. Thank you for your support 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
I’ve had mine for quite awhile. The coleslaw is a staple in our home, particularly with the thermo mayo The only think I find frustrating is finding unshredded carrot, cheese etc that is on the blade not grated. Of course they are not wasted but quickly consumed😆😆. I use mine all the time. Saves a lot of time. ❤️❤️🌺
Helloo again, I hope you’re well. We’ve been waiting for what seems like forever here for it to become available. I think I’m going to be making the slaw quite a lot. It was very good indeed. I quickly consume cheese too, no matter what! I’m hoping I’ll get a lot of use out of mine too. Thanks as always for watching, your support is welcomed 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
I’ve had my cutter for a while now. (In US). I’ve paid the same price for a food processor in the past. And the fact that the thermie is always out makes it easier for me to use the cutter. It’s crazy fast. I really like it. I use it for some recipes that don’t even call for it. Like Bulgogi. It’s so much easier to thinly cut the carrots and onions with the cutter.
When you look at it that way, the thermie comes into its own again as a brilliant space saver for not having the need for multiple gadgets. I’m hoping I get to utilise it more for my every day recipes, like you say, it’s crazy fast, I’m very impressed with it. I think I’ll be making a lot of salads with it too. Thanks very much for watching and taking the time to comment, I appreciate it 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
Hi Richie, another Quality video as always Mate 😋 I’ve had the cutter for about 3-4 months now as I got mine via my Themomix Consultant at Half Price I have to say that I think Vorwerk are taking the Pee charging really £100 for it as I feel it’s very overpriced but that’s just IMO of course. My 1 issue is as you pointed out you have to cut things up just to put them in the feeder I feel that is a Design issue and think it would have made better sense to just have one opening to cope with items like potatoes and cucumbers etc. Overall I’m glad I just paid what I did and it’s not a must have addition to the TM6 just because it’s Thermomix! 😋
Hi Andrew, good to hear from you again buddy! Goodness me, I wish I could have purchased mine at half price, I didn’t purchase my machine originally through a consultant. I have to agree, the pricing is a little on the ‘high side let’s say 😁 Regarding the feeder, yes, you do have to think smart to eliminate food waste when slicing spuds etc. Overall, it’s not a bad piece of kit, but like you said, not essential. Thanks again for your continued support, Andrew. I really appreciate it 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
Yes! I've just bought the TM6 with the cutter and blade protector/peeler. I wasn't sure about the cutter. I wanted to see if it did the job with slicing properly. Your video helped me decide. Thanks again!

Thanks for the review Richie. It's a great addition, though I think the bowl insert feels a bit cheap (though of course it wasn't!). I think it was very over-priced for what it is - a thin plastic bowl, blade, shaft and lid but hey ho, I succumbed so I'm the stupid one 🤪. I love the coleslaw I have to say, though I personally don't always add onion and / or apple 🙂
You’re always welcome, lovely to see you again, I’m happy to learn you’re still part of foodie family 😀. Yes, you have made some very valid points here. Another subscriber here mentioned they purchased their cutter through their consultant and managed to get for half price! Which is much more reasonable, I think. I have a favourite Asian salad recipe which I’m going to convert to prepare with this attachment, watch this space. Thanks for your continued support, I really do appreciate it 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF

It all depends on the size of the vegetables you’re chopping/grating. A carrot would be a good fit for the smaller feeder. I hope this helps. Thanks for stopping by 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
I purchased the Thermomix TM6 in April 2021, and by June 2024, I encountered a significant issue: the bottom of the blade (the green part) had completely burnt out. Despite the problem, there was no available replacement part, and I had to buy a new set of blades with an additional $15 for shipping. This defect caused liquids to leak every time I used the appliance. In contrast, I had the TM31 for over a decade, and it remained in perfect condition when I replaced it. The quality of the TM6 appears to have degraded significantly, which is unacceptable for a $1400 product. Additionally, when I received the replacement blades, I took the opportunity to leave a review, including photographic evidence of the issue. To my surprise, my review did not appear on the website. After reaching out to the company, I was informed that a marketing team selects which reviews are displayed. It seems the review system is manipulated to only showcase positive feedback, which undermines the credibility of their customer reviews.
Hey there. I’m really sorry to learn of the issues you’ve been having with your machine. I’m not a Thermomix advisor. I’m also not affiliated with Vorwerk in any shape or form, I just post unbiased content 😀 It sounds like you’ve had an absolute nightmare with yours, and considering the price….I have had no issues with mine whatsoever. Did you purchase your unit through an advisor, if so, maybe they can help? I genuinely do wish I could offer you more advice on this one, sorry again. Thanks very much for posting and for supporting my channel, I do appreciate it. All the best 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
