7:05 I think, at least for me, part of the appeal of driving a train is that it’s like driving a moving fortress. Additionally, I like the sense of adventure you get as you trundle along the wilderness inside of a fortress. It combines adventure, safety and a visual sense of progress. It kinda reminds me of steering the boat across the ocean in Windkwaker. I wish I could make my own game that captures that feeling.
Spyro is also my comfy game! To the point when i was a kid whenever I was scared or wanted to feel better I'd think about spyro gameplay and it always always made me feel better.

God indie games have so much more personality then aaa games
This is a great example of a review that's respect the game scale. It's like being a Eurojank and an AA title
You can honk the horn, you have to interact with the handle at the front.
Spyro is also my comfy game! To the point when i was a kid whenever I was scared or wanted to feel better I'd think about spyro gameplay and it always always made me feel better.
I think the Pickle lady might be a reference to Portlandia's "We Can Pickle That!" sketch
About the cultists it could've been easily fixed if you had say a pistol that could kill cultists but doesn't even tickle Charles.
it feels like this is the same endorphin loop as the early days of cod zombies; the sense of progression and the overall lack of need of immersion that don’t need to be explained
i’ll have to give this a try to have a good time beyond a story single player
6:28 thanks the laugh, i loved metal slug
I can say this, I’m only 3 and a half minutes into their video and I’m already laughing my ass off.
Can definitely say by the time I’m done watching this review I’m gonna be even more excited to play the game then I already am.
Can you handle it though?
The chase sequences are like those Jurassic Park arcade games being chased by the T-Rex. Perfect formula.
You're the grandson of Crocodil Dundee?
Btw good review!
You can, in fact, blast the whistle while driving the train. It’s a chord at the front left of the cab.
Dear God. A hybrid of Thomas the tank engine, a spider, and a clown.
Glorious
I do hope this does well enough for a sequel because I think a second game expanding on the concept and mechanics with a more open city map where you are against a bus would be cool.
By the recognition it currently receives im exacting that to happen. In the end i think it will just come down to the devs motivation.
Crossover of the century. Love two star. His game " My Beautiful Paper Smile" is a work of art
It is?
Wow... It's so goofy and hilarious that it's scary. I think the art style matches the way the NPCs have no mouth animation when talking. It adds to the theme of goofiness but man, that faking spider train looks frightening. For a game made by a single person, well done!
15:46 It's all good, Gman; I watched _Fairly Odd Parents_ as a kid, so I've already been exposed to Cosmo's crippling trauma from "Super Toilet".
There was a Charlie the Choo Choo in the Dark Tower series. Stephen King also wrote a "kids" book of the same name under a pseudonym. :D
Choo Choo Charles Whistle DLC is an absolute must. This man puts it up for a buck, guarantee he would see $100 before a week is out.
"Report Noise Event" and a Throw item mechanic would help make the stealth parts funner instead of "on see pawn"(like farcry rock-throw). Glad to see this game getting attention tho✌
I loved the concept of this game, but after seeing how short it was I started to lose hope. Now this hero brings me a glowing recommendation and I couldn't be happier.
Im calling it! this game is going to inspire a movie! IM CALLING IT! thanks for the video Gman!
Your channel is great for getting a good taste for games I’ll never play. This looks like a great game to watch a youtuber play
How tf does Gman not have at least a Milli subs by now?? Reviewers at this level of quality need to be more recognized in the game Dev industry and RUclips community 💯🔥
The dev of this game is pretty cool, I hope he takes some of your criticisms in mind and use them to improve it
Two Star guy is legend....game made by him-self RESPECT....im on my own game and i know how much work he put into this game :)
Probably the most terrifying thing I’m thinking about right now is how the hell did you get banned on Twitter Gman?
I called someone a c*nt.
@GmanLives, so many weak people have been coddled by political correctness
@@Gggmanlives amazing they have terrorists and child pornographers but calling someone a c×nt will get you banned. Simply amazing 👏 Bravo Twitter you fit right in in 2022.
They probably deserved it 😂
@@smokingcrab2290 a lot of Twitter users are like glass shit-spewing cannons: they can throw a lot of vitriol your way, but as soon as they get even a fraction of it back, they cry foul and hide in their little safe space.
For a single person made indie game this is top tier
From the looks of the track, I'm surprised the vast amounts of dirt and rubble covering it all along the route don't derail your engine.
I just finished it earlier today, for the fanatics I would just bait em to the train and use the train weapons to kill em. I would also use jumping over various objects to keep my distance or increase it if they were close
With how popular this game is this could be the Start of the indie devs taking over the gaming industry and going back to what made gaming. Gaming.
Like when the ghost reaper clips through your submarine on Subnautica is scary as SHIIIIT!
Honestly, yes about the appeal of trains. Every august, and september, and sometimes december, and in November once, I can hear the same steam engine from my house. It was a good way to grow up.
Oddly enough, as a child I loved the LightSpeed Resuce Power Rangers because one of the megazord sets was literally train themed. I reflect upon those days fondly when playing this game.
I'm surprised there's no pistol or even a knife for those cultist guys
