Great video but it is not Runcam's first 120fps camera for DJI. Seems like EVERYONE slept on or never noticed Runcam released the Falcon HD Nano camera that uses the original DJI sensor, can do 120fps and has full menu options. I have two of em and they outperform the Nebula Nano Pro too!
Ok I’m going to shut your argument up in one comment. It uses the original sensor and your correct in the fact it’s forgotten about… why is that? Durrr it uses the original sensor!!!! Runcam isn’t going to put ton of effort marketing a cam they can’t steadily components for. That’s why the OG cam is constantly out of stock. They can’t make enough to keep on the shelves for longer than a few weeks. Not millions…not even hundreds of thousands… but more like a couple thousand. Runcam would be fools to market the falcon because of that simple fact
The camera and price look great. I think it would be important to note that you can't change camera settings with the WASP as you do with the Nebula Pro. It is also stuck in 4:3 format and you can't rotate the image in the goggles. Other than that... Looks like a winner!
I ran a camera switch to swap between Night Eagle/owl and day time camera for going from low light/nolight to day time. Analog rules for that kind of flexibility, would be nice to see if the HD systems could support such flexibility for switching video feeds on the fly.
I do fly a lot at night. I got another polar camera. Just to fly at night. Next build will be the wasp. I’ve had every camera. I think the wasp is as close as you can get to the OG Dji. Heck that was quick. Lol 🤙🏼
Might have to check this out. I’m a huge fan of the Polar because I can fly at night. I’m not sure I’d call it a “dedicated”. Isn’t camera, it’s perfectly fine during the day. But I assume you mean that it doesn’t have all the features (4:3, 120fps, etc.) that the Nebula Procor OG cam have. Me personally, that’s not something that really bothers me. I’ve grown to like the 16:9 look since it fills the goggles, and I don’t notice the fps difference. I would gladly trade that for the ability to fly in the almost dark, in color, and HD. But flying is also not my livelihood, so my priorities are different.

Analogically speaking. Cat 3 micro all night FTW. Playing with the setting I can fly 90% as confident as in the day at 1am. In familiar airspace for sure. And a black and white mode you probably wouldn't want to roll around or break-up on you.
I'm still waiting for the day these HD systems are more like the DJI Avata. One camera, gyro data, and usable for both amateur work and visual guidence. Overall I think the was is fine.
You forgot one big feature! Although it does indeed have 120fps, it DOESN'T have the adjustable parameters in the goggles. No saturation, contrast, brightness, etc. And, it's stuck in 4:3. But, Runcam does make the seemingly forgotten Falcon camera that has all of the feature of the Wasp, for a mere $15 more, but it's also 120fps, 16:9 and 4:3, fully adjustable parameters, and by what I saw in Nick Burns review of it vs. the Nebula Pro Nano, the Falcon has very good low light performance. I also think the Wasp has a grainier picture than the Falcon or Nebula Pro cameras. The Falcon also weighs in at about half the weight!
Man, I'm so glad to hear another good soul talk about the Falcon. I'm not sure why Runcam went big marketing the Wasp and released the Falcon months ago so quietly. At least Nick Burns and Albert Kim put out videos about it otherwise I would have also missed the boat. Also, I just picked up another Falcon off Runcam's Amazon store for the same price as the Wasp, that's the best deal I've seen for a camera/air unit lite with the OG sensor 😁
the orriginal camera is also good in verry low light, at least on ''normal'' mode. when its getting dark i can see more in the goggles than with my own eyes. after that HD recording has no use unless you fly in a wel lit park with lots of street lights
Yeah, but higher latency with only 60fps, and not adjustments of the parameters in the goggles. I don't think you can flip the image nor can it switch between 4:3 and 16:9, as I recall.

The Phoenix 2 is 4 x 3 the best but unflyable at night.. the color glares off lens are incredible

Polar Starlight is better @ night compared to the Wasp. But at day time the Wasp is the clear winner because of the spec

After you do the update reset your goggles after if you have shitty range or won't go into 120
