    I did not know he was Denzel's son when I first seen one of his films. I kept thinking this guy doesn't have a range of convincing emotions and that he was over acting a lot of the times.

    I do think he is a little overrated. I do appreciate him taking on more independent movies that aren’t franchises like Michael B Jordan does. So the question is could Michael B Jordan be doing the roles like tenant and the creator and blacks BlacKkKlansman? I don’t think he could.

    I am a big fan of both John David and Michael B. Both are charismatic and I think have solid screen presence. Michael B’s performance in Fruitvale Station was compelling and believable. John David in BlaKkKlansman was the same for me. I will take a guess and say black actors (both male and female) are not given the same opportunities their white counterparts get. So I will not criticize the movies they choose to be in. But based on their performances, I’ll spend my money to see either of them on the big screen. I’m also a fan of Stephan James.

    I just tried to watch the movie Amsterdam last night because it starred Christian Bale who, imo, is a very good to great actor but then i had to turn it off because John D was absolutely terrible...
    wooden,stiff,bland,boring..
    ESPECIALLY when you get a scene with Christian B and then see all his effort gone to waste when that wooden plank tries to act ( I wonder how Christian felt in those scenes.. ) and i only lasted 20 minutes AND i was drinking, Lord have mercy! I mean the contrast between them is just amazing.. it's like seeing a professional working with a high school acting student... acting alongside Bale makes him look even worse, if that is possible...
    I don't hate the guy or anything but this is just silly.
    And just to mock with us John D's name in the movie: Harold Woodman, WOODMAN! as if they are messing with us AND/OR him. If only they named him Johnny Woodman!
    (Btw there's a list on IMDb of 1500+ actors and whatnot showing allot of the nepotistic relation in Hollywood, much like any field these days, it is 1 big nepotistic mess, yes it was also going on in the 1930+ and so on but now it reaches epic levels.. apparently it's even worse in Europe)
    There's no excuse for John D since Bale is also a product of nepotism but at least he tries hard and succeeds!!
    You rly have a minuscule chance becoming famous these days on ANY field.
    We are all watching the kids of the very privileged,
    Thx for the video.

    Anyone who's ever helped a relative get a job is guilty as charged. Parents should do all they can to help their kids. That's one perk of being a decent parent. Hopefully he'll try something different to avoid being type cast....maybe too late. I hope he doesn't try roles dealing with struggle, black love or that age old gangsta b.s. they love so much.

    • @thecinemarag
      @thecinemarag  6 месяцев назад

      it isn't a question of helping kids. Would John David gotten "Black Klansmen" directed by Spike who worked with his dad in Malcolm X if he wasn't related? this is the problem with affirmative action and nepo syndrome. these people are always left wondering if they deserve what they get

  • @michaelreyes2301

    The age of original actors is over. We are now and will continue to remain in the times in which professional acting careers will be passed onto the children that won't have to work for leading roles and have to go through the struggle...although the majority of them will say they struggled to make it as an actor which is really just a laugh all around.
