    Pretty good idea buddy, if i would've seen this last week i wouldn't have had to drill a hole in the lower side of my homemade livewell. Ill use this on my next build . Thanks for the idea

    In my experience with the pump like that the housing heats up from running the pump constantly and will eventually heat up the water killing the baitfish as well I chose to get a livewell pump that mounts outside of the tank to keep the water cool inside the tank and just install your water lines outside the tank back up to the top

    i built one that is the same basic thing but without the filter. that a good idea and i will be redoing it. cheeper than buying that additive for the water

    I built one. Pump won't prime unless water is covering pump. I need taller tank, unfortunately.

    is there a way to use the pump for in a barrel at home without using a car battery to power it and plug into electricity.

    • @abgregg208
      @abgregg208  5 лет назад

      If you can find a trickle charger that's puts out more than the bilge. I have found that will work

      @@abgregg208 use a pond pump that runs on 120 volt

      Hacked Fish nice work.
      I was sent here on my search and plan to diy a above ground solar pool filter pump system.. Ive looked at a few 12v pond pumps... Then had the idea of a bilge pump... Which is much cheaper and I'm thinking may be less power requirements. The bilge pump idea fitting nicely with 2inch pvc is giving me good ideas... I need to check it out some more to see if it will do what I'm wanting...
      And actually my plan is to run it directly to the solar panel and use no batteries. Its gonna be a challenge, so we'll see.
      First video I seen of yours n I hit the subscribe and like button. Look fwd to seeing more. Ty

    pump should be at the bottom of the setup

    • @abgregg208
      @abgregg208  5 лет назад

      It's work like this for about 2 years. No problems. Can I ask why should it be at the bottom they are made to set barely in water in a boat to pump water out.

    • @marlowsokstate
      @marlowsokstate 5 лет назад

      @@abgregg208 first its a submersible bilge pump it is made to be able to be completely underwater 2nd keeping it at the top means the water level needs to stay with in a small margin of the pump pick up or it would run dry burn out if not level say during transport back of a truck or even in the boat getting to your fishing hole there are simpler versions that are still filtered more compacted yet take less parts to buy and can work in most size tanks but thats a good style pump to use from the 20 different re-brands there are of it

    • @abgregg208
      @abgregg208  5 лет назад

      Like I said it's just my version. People can do what they want to do. This is what I came up with that worked for me. Tell me I'm right. Tell me I'm wrong. either way it just a video people can use, if they want, that work for me.

The reason I started a RUclips channel was the doctors thought it would help with my word placement. I getting a little better but still struggling and have to stop and think of what I'm saying.
