Thanks for the tips ! This will be my first time growing hibiscus however for the winter (hits 20 and below) I move my plants in the garage and take an extra large mirror to reflect the sunlight onto them and this has even kept my banana trees and fig trees alive during the frostier months !

Something that gave me the fastest and biggest growing hibiscus in all my life was to plant in dirt mixed with 40-50% perlite. It's insane. XD I planted it a few months ago, and now it's a meter tall and flowering. The stem is over 1cm thick. It seems to love that stuff.

Enjoyed this video, because I've been searching for answers. My hibiscus is possible 15+ years old, here before I bought my house. It has always bloomed pinkish color but this year out of nowhere, they are red. beautiful no matter what color, just crazy. I know weather has a factor sure this past month has been hotter or is it from me watering more than other years? Thank you, I also have a Cranberry Red which is left up to mother nature, meaning I almost never water it since it gets more shade

I'm in Zone 7A and found hibiscus plants at the end of the season. No idea if they are the hardy kind but going to give it a try to get it through the winter in fabric pots. I finally got some flowers after giving banana water assuming thats why they bloomed. Ive decided I won't be bringing them inside and let them try to survive on their own in the elements with maybe some light covering. Other than to bring them inside for winter is there anything else I should do for them?
