Haven't watched the whole video yet but adding reducer to that paint would make it flow thru that sprayer.
I did that. Even thinned it out more than recommended haha
Also strain the paint, strainers are cheap! . Most big box stores have paint filled with trash!
Wash mitt and a big rubber glove for your hand inside It is the only way to paint lots and lots and lots of pipe.
I was a house painter for more than a few years, and the fasted and easiest way I ever found to paint metal railings is with a painter's mitt. You will do it in half the time as rolling and use less paint!. We bid a job one time to take 2 days to paint the railings at theses apartments. We used the mitts for the first time and were done in 7 hours. 😁
The piping would've worked great, but the fence posts would've been nearly impossible. The mitt would've caught up in the wood. Great idea though
Painters mitt for pipe fence-Amazon has them! Buy several if you have a lot of pipe to paint.
I would have done the same.

so a little trick I learned being in the Navy for painting hand rails...Use a sock! Yes use latex gloves on your hands with a sock and paint the rails by hand....it goes VERY quickly and looks great. The areas around the post would need brush work but using a sprayer is HORRIBLE for post and rails. Sprayers are great for flat surfaces like walls and fence but railings its not the best tool for the job.
In order to use Rustoleum paint in a spray gun, it must be thinned to flow thru the spray gun, being that it is oil based paint.
From my view, the fence looks great just the way it is!

Useing a screen on the pickup tube, even several stockings would help with the clogs…. Airless works wonderfully if you spend the time to prep the job. And have the right size orafice. Do your homework.
Thats why they make paint strainer bags. Also reduce paint a wee bit. Been there done that. - - - Paint Strainer Bags ----

I used to paint hay rings and gates and we used a sauce mop, like for bbq sauce. Worked great for round metal pipes!

We always used a sponge to paint out fences. Gloves and a sponge, it works great. Best of luck for any future painting.
Dad was a pro painter always thinned his paint using airless. Lol really helps I know 😂
Just get a cotton glove and dip it in the paint and wipe it on ! I painted many coats on a Drilling rig and thats the way we did it
You can still string two runs of barbed wire over the top of the gate. Just use the insulated fence handles to hook and unhook the wire whenever you need to go through there. 😎

I find painting with sponges easier. No wasted paint, no drips. I just get large sponges and cut to sizes I need. Gets into all nooks and crannies

I so feel your pain. We just did our fence and painted the metal with the rustoleum paint, it was so sticky and it was 96 degrees in Texas with a feels like 106 degrees!! We were so worn out and just felt crappy afterwards. But it looks so good now!
I could definitely see the mounting frustration going on there. Sorry the sprayer didn't work out properly. The fence looks awesome though, and you're right for hanging barbed wire after painting. Kick back with that cold one, and relax with the beautiful lady. Love ya'll ❤️
Just a little bit of a tip for future projects. Get 2 car washing kits, put a rubber glove on, put that hand in the car wash kit, dip into the paint and wipe the paint on the railing? Fast, clean, cheap! Now you know what you didn’t know!

Love a nice black fence. Good job. I would use a painting mitt for painting anything round like railings as it is MUCH better than even an air prayer.
I’ve used one of those plastic pump sprayers, it’s messy and ruins the bottle but it was cheap and effective 🤷♂️

Try a fuzzy mitt like you would use to wash your car for painting the pipes.
Hey guys can you put barbed wire on the gate too somehow? You might need to weld some type of metal rod to each end ( at the top obviously) paint them black and then add barbed wire? Just a thought.

Jason, I think the problem is with the tin of paint. It’s not so much to spray and you can imagine that the tin of paint has been sitting on a shelf in the store so you Don’t know how long so you could need to stir it again or mix it again might help you out.

Hey Jason & Danielle the fence looks great even though things didn’t go so great a lot of the sprayers don’t work unless you put thinner in the paint but it’s done now so feel great about that & that soon Lambeau will be home such an accomplishment in such a short period of time ❤
I used the regular pump garden sprayer to paint my deck with stain. You have to hurry to get it done cause if the paint dries in the tip you're done. You have to buy another sprayer. Cheapest way I know of.
I’m not a painter, but I have used a painters mitt to paint spindles and such- so much faster than a brush!

Hard to spray on a windy day? 😤😳… actually.. brushing on is much better.. saves paint cost, and stays on better, but a pain! Lucky you’ve got a great helper.
