If you want to get the chicken some free protein, put a piece of plywood over and area of soil that has been weeted down. In the morning when you let them out pull up the piece of plywood and rhe chickens will have worms and other grubs to eat
With all the mulch they have around there should be plenty of worms, grubs and bugs.
You need to be giving the hens calcium if they're not laying. Tractor supply has a small bag, also give more layer feed a day.
If scratch is all you are feeding you need to add egg layer pellets.
Ohh to check and make sure your watermelons r good, take your first 2 fingers and see if they fit inbetween the lines.. I was told that by my mother in law and I check that everytime we buy a watermelon!! The last one I got it was excellent!!!!
My key to picking a good watermellon is get one with a big yellow spot on it. The darker the yellow the sweeter the watermellon. The breakfast eggs and pok butt looked amazing.
If you're feeding chickens tractor supply feed they will not lay eggs, we had same problem and we have 150 chickens. We changed feed , now we get 50-60 eggs every day.
I've heard that. Try different feed.
You're not feeding them correctly the reason why you're not getting any eggs they need a lot more food than what you're giving them

Huge egg....5 watermelons....that ain't notjing...nothing. lol I've bought 14lbs. Of cherry in last 2 weeks. Cherry are good for inflammation. Watermelon too. I'm waiting for watermelons to get more ripe. The ones I've bought have not been sweet at all. They say the bellybutton on wm needs to be brown. The flower end. A yellow belly, brown belly button, and then spank it a couple times to see if it sounds hollow. Then it's ripe....lol ❤
You need to get egg layer food for chicken
If you're laying hands are older than two years old you need to get rid of them and get some new ones because they don't lay with a darn after the two years old

FYI.....If you give your chickens a chicken feeder full at all times you will find your egg production go way up. Low nutrition = no eggs. Watch how Cog Hill Farms feeds and all the eggs they get. Layers need endless amount of feed just like dairy cows need endless feed to produce milk.
Fresh eggs if you didn't wash them will last on the counter for weeks
Why don't you go to a thrift store and buy some forks and knives. They will be cheaper in the long run than the plastic.

Please make sure you chicken food has enough protein in it as they need it .
The Purina chicken food has a tenancy to make the chickens lay less eggs. Try a higher protein feed, at least 20%, also try meal worms for extra they don't get from their grassy area. If they are moulting they won't lay. Looks like they are becoming a herd. That's good. Once they do that they'll stay together when not fenced in and come home to roost. Hopefully you can bring the OG chick down and they can learn from her. You might think about introducing her to them.
You have running water! It really doesn't take much to wash a fork instead of wasting money on plastic!

Aren't your hens Rhode Island Reds? But, I noticed Miss. OG's egg was white. They usually lay light brown eggs.
I'm so impressed with Miss. OG. She's so independent, and her eggs are like sized large. Hold up! Okay. I just noticed the side-by-side of the eggs. So, Miss. OG is not related to the other girls, and a different breed? The smaller egg is the brown color of a Rhode Island Red.

My great grandfather taught me about chickens.old school tricks of the egg lovers.spread decomposing leaves in a bare spot,cover with leaves and cover anything for a week,save coffee grounds and dump on leaves everyday and recover for about a week.then open it up for chicken to get scratch and eat bugs and worms,set buckets/plants in there and move occasionally so they can get those worms as well.crush egg shells and toss in their area, they'll eat those for the calcium,and your local feed store should have feed called layers mesh,toss them some of that once a day.also any fruit and veggies you got left over put in a box outside,(compost)to attract the flys,then toss to the chickens,tractor supply feed is and never will be good for them,they should lay 1-3 eggs per chicken per day

was it last year or the year before, there was chicken feed, that prevented the chicken from laying eggs.. the feed slowed down/stopped the process.. you should look into that
Good treat for chickens to help them to lay good is Black sunflowers seeds Oster shells, cracked corn and grit. I always trained mine with meal supper worm. Summer time you can do can corn and freeze it for cold treats
When cracking eggs, I've always used two and cracked them against each other, and then opened the egg. Less chance of shells in the pan. 😊
Layers need calcium and should always be available. I save the shells, dry them in the oven or sun and then use a food processor to grind them down. You can also use crushed Oyster shells but you have to pay for it.
You would save money in the long run if you bought some plates, bowls, and silverware instead of using paper/plastic goods that get thrown out. Just invest in a bottle of Dawn.
We had a rooftop tent in the 70's called a Camp-O-Tel. Dad modified it to go on top of a VW bus so we could go through the sunroof right into the tent. This was totally different than the VW bus that had a pop up top. Good times.

If you get your own eggs from your own chickens and don't put them in the fridge and don't wash them there can be in a nice cool area for three months yeah three months not like store bought eggs once they've been washed and put in the fridge you have to eat them get some new lane hands get rid of those old useless chickens makes yourself some chicken soup or chicken broth because that's all they're good for

Hi, over feeding treats to chicken can make them heavy. They won’t lay if they are over weight. It’s hard because you want to make them happy! Cut back on the treats let them hunt instead. ❤

If you want eggs feed them some red pepper flakes or kyanne pepper . They will give you plenty of eggs. Trust me it never fails.
