I'm gonna say this is awesome and 100% accurate. But if I didn't already know what you were talking about this might as well be a different language to me. So I encourage everyone to watch all your other videos that lead up to this point.
Thank you for making this video I’m learning this process right now and your giving me the best help on the web atm definitely gonna keep watching your vids
So glad I found your channel and I looked at a bunch. No rap music no weird graphics and no hype. I appreciate your straight forward teaching approach. As a newcomer I can understand what your teaching because you do it in layman's terms and I don't need a PhD in the science's. Thanks
Thanks man .. high humidity low fae and high c02 are what im currently battling.. explains why i have oversized pins that never fruited and crappy canopies
I see that Humble Fungus is permanently closed online. Are you doing anything professionally? I would like to support your endeavors somehow. I have gained so much knowledge from your videos. Getting ready to clean house and start over!
Bro, Thank you SO much for this legitimately informative and educational vid! I hated school and most teachers couldn't keep my attention for shit! But I clicked w/ your style and was FN enthralled the entire time! I'm a rookie to mycology. Green AF, but so far have 12 successfully colonized jars on my first try! I am getting to a point where I have some pressing issues with jars varying in colonization rate and how to deal with the situation since I am using the one mono tub sent with my "kit" from Mid-W. Should I separate the different strains to smaller mono tubs as needed or should I not panic (I'm a Phan so I never Panic, LOL!!) and just wait until all the jars are ready??? Peace and Love brother!!!
Thank you so much! Great lessons and learning so much. I have a question in fact many, but I’ll keep it short with one for now. I’m going to build a Martha tent but wondering what size fan should I use on the humidifier and on the extraction fan taking the air out? Should they be the same, or should the extraction fan be slightly smaller to enable the tent to be positively pressurised? I would need to seal the bottom to ensure it is air tight to enable this. I have seen the Midwest grow kit version which looks good. Just uncertain of the technology they use. Appreciate all your videos, information and sharing it. 👍
Humidity can be controlled with either a theral fogger or add water and hydro balls, perlite, or lava rock in to place your trays. Afix a filter and external exhaust fan. The idea is to replicate optimal out door conditions for that species.
How come humidity is pumped in from the top? Since wet air is lighter than dry air, wouldn't it make more sense to pump it in from the bottom so it can rise in the fruiting chamber?
I have an unconventional background in preventive medicine that led me to designing closed systems for cultivation as a hobby then took a side quest to learn electrical engineering at a school that wasn't ABET certified and wasted my GI Bill. Short story long I somewhere along the line I learned to view most things as complex systems with a series of input output processes producing a result. Touch my 📷 through the 🤺 at the Falcon 🚗🚿.
In line air filtration and a contained pump in a sealed container with at least one side fitted with a HEPA filter. Pumps are cheap adjustable and you can automate them with a sensor and a micro controller.
did you quit engineering b/c you didnt like it? or are you making enough to replace that salary? Not asking for specifics, only curious to know how lucrative this business is or if its just a passion of yours
Hey brother! I recently started doing 6 of the Eco Earth coco bricks in a bin instead of one per bucket. Didn’t get moisture down at first. A bunch of the tubs contaminated. My guess was it was from my spawn bags not being colonized at the top but I wasn’t much of a problem before and I had marked some bins and they turned out fine. So I guess it’s the substrate being too wet since I didn’t have the moisture down at first right?
What if you are trying to grow mushrooms in the summer and do not have air conditioning? The temperature might go up into the 90s sometimes. Will that just slow down the growth of the mycelium? At what temperature might it actually kill it?
Don’t let it get above 95 if you can avoid it I imagine you’ll see little too no growth beyond that point actual death of the mycelium if I had to guess an I mean litterally pulling this outta my ass but 105 or so
So you want your fan pulling the air out of the monotub? I’ve seen people putting the fans inward for the air to flow into the monotub. If somebody could explain, thanks
Hello friend quick question, whenever I place my colonized substrate tray in my fruiting chamber...they stall..no pins ...I have my humidity set at 87% and temp at 71 ferinheit what do u think I'm doing wrong? I have co2 exhaust going out of the house..
Thanks for the lesson. I am a MASTER at cultivating TRICH and im at a loss.... I am feeling so so so defeated. I cant figure it out. I feel like my process couldnt be anymore sterile. I almost feel like its just all around me. I really wish i could afford a flowhood.
Outstanding talk on mushroom fruiting chamber basics. Question, how long would you allow the high co2 for pinning before adjusting the co2 controller for perfect fruiting?
Depends on your species but I tried growing Lion's Mane in a SGFC and they were definitely not getting enough fresh air because they were looking long and weak with many branches instead of being large masses. After I introduced a fan and steady fresh air they grew much better fruits. I know some species grow fine in SGFC without a fan though.
Iv seen soo many other videos on the subject but this is the only one that made me fully comprehend what being a shroom is like!
This. Sooo much this.
Hahahaha @ 20:13 LOL! Funny moment!
Good in depth video! Well done
Pretty much the only channel needed for cultivation
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You are a great teacher.....
Thank you for the detailed explanation! I was having a hard time understanding all the factors and what they really mean. Now onto part 2 ➡️
1st time I feel like I'm getting an actual RUclips degree. Y'all and pop shrooms are amazing!
This is so well explained , thank you for taking the time !!!

Excellent. I'm going to give it a go! Thanks.
Very informative, explains everything in detail.
Very important information about mold. I haven't heard much on the topic. Very thorough. Thank you.
Thanks bud, love how you give all the fine details and cut the bs so learning through mistakes are minimized.
You and pop shroom are the best at explaining
Thanks so much for these video's 🙏

I need to make some friends with this same mindset. So much to learn, and fun at that.
Amazingly good information!
For idiots
This is a great video. I am buying some fruiting blocks from your stores as support.

So helpful!
Yes! This is good!!
Getting ready to build my grow room and turning a old appliance into a growing chamber
Louis CK’s younger fungi brother - this was a fantastic video
Beautiful content

Could putting h202 at low concentratiom in the humidifier help with mold without harming fruiting bodies ?
Thank you sir
Thank you
Wow i never knew Luis CK knew so much about fungi!!!

I love you maan!

@the humble fungus Vapor Pressure Deficit is what you are referring to with humidity in relation to temperature : )

would it be better to run a higher temp and a lower RH or a lower temp and a higher RH?
What if you are trying to grow mushrooms in the summer and do not have air conditioning? The temperature might go up into the 90s sometimes. Will that just slow down the growth of the mycelium? At what temperature might it actually kill it?
Don’t let it get above 95 if you can avoid it I imagine you’ll see little too no growth beyond that point actual death of the mycelium if I had to guess an I mean litterally pulling this outta my ass but 105 or so
This is also gonna depend heavily on the species your growing too tho
Does the fan have to be running 24/7?
So you want your fan pulling the air out of the monotub? I’ve seen people putting the fans inward for the air to flow into the monotub. If somebody could explain, thanks

Thank you sir!
This is the video you go to when you wanna get shit done! Great content
Is this Forgotten Weapons' Ian Mccollum's brother?
So is it good for build mini green house using pvc? What’s the difference between myler and pvc? Which is the best?

Spray microban24 around ur room u use it kills mold ans bacteria for 24 hours solid
@@Nativetrick thanks for the tip ill look into it. Appreciate it
Everyone has been a trich farmer before. Practice makes happy flushes. I have felt your pain. Stay strong
Would love to hear that you improved :) keep the head up
@@ovejavier5685 I have, very much so actually. Still have SO MUCH to learn but I have also come a long way

CO2 is good during incubation normal levels of O2 for outdoor air at sea level at around 25°C
good stuff

You said they need light but not UV light and you'll explain later. I think you forgot to explain
Thank you so much!!! You are cute too 😊🌹
You ever been to Louisville KY? I think i met you at a bar years ago.
I do not understood why I can grow in a monotub with nothing but the holes and just air flow in the room?
thanks for the vid, timestamps would help a lot!
The tree on the left is good
Missing you videos, hope all well
Where is part 3?
Aren’t most of todays house windows coated with UV blocker so light from a window is fine?
What size mushroom bag is best for the Martha tent? Thank you in advance 👍
I did a SGFC with micropore tape for my first fruiting chamber and I think somehow I had not enough humidity OR oxygen
What was your final result? Contam or lots of aborts?
Depends on your species but I tried growing Lion's Mane in a SGFC and they were definitely not getting enough fresh air because they were looking long and weak with many branches instead of being large masses. After I introduced a fan and steady fresh air they grew much better fruits. I know some species grow fine in SGFC without a fan though.
I'm new to growing mushrooms the first time was great but since then nothing good has happened.
If my temp is 71 them whats my humidity
Yo what are you doing now?? I see you had to close up shop?
Write an outline ahead of time and follow it. Smart dude, A little all
