I live in Sydney and earlier this year took my 14 year old son to his first concerts: Neil Young and then, a few weeks later, Bruce Springsteen. He loved them both and now goes thru my old records so he can listen to the music and wants to play his sax like Jake Clemons (& by extension, Clarence Clemons). I only fear is that after a start like that, can live music for him ever be bettered?
I saw CSNY in the early 2000's. About a third of the way through Neil played After The Gold Rush and from then on out it was basically Neil Young and friends. He has a way of garnering his share of attention - even with the Boss.
Nobody alive can touch Neil performing this song, not even Bruce. Neil is tapped into a force when he does this, and everybody else just has to hang on for dear life.
