I felt like i was certainly in the company of a genius. 'The Merchant of Chagville'. Thank you Alvin Daniel for this series; and this amazing time spent with one of the greatest calypsonians to have graced our small but powerful Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹🇹🇹
This guy should be on par with songwriters like Smokey Robinson, and Bill Withers. His ability to fit words into unique one of a kind melodies, made even more difficult because he's using Calypso timing not 4/4. And he is doing it all without being able to read or write music. This is what Genius looks like.
