    Very helpful. If just removing the screen you need not take apart the bottom of the laptop, nor take the hinges off. Just pry the black plastic panel as he described. But it is easier to pull the silver hinge cover from behind with the laptop lid closed. Pops right off. After this is removed, you can pry off the bottom of the black bezel. Also, there are pull strips in the top corners behind the screen. Pull straight up firmly, but take your time.

      You still want to do the battery drain to be safe.

    Worked perfect. 2 clips broken but I think my Notebook is a monday thing. 1 screw didn't even fit in the never opened notebook. It was stuck in the glue of the design Rubber.

    Hi there I am having & issues with the hinges one is lifting up & down fine but the other one super tight it won’t lift or lower at all. Thank for any recommendations it can share.

    Very nice, thank you. I see that the sodimm installed is a 16gb, but official HP specs say that the computer can only be expanded to 16 gb, which I would've thought meant 8gb in each slot. Obviously it booted up fine, though. Do I dare put 32gb (2x16gb) in mine? I'm thinking HP deliberately says it is lower, because it is such a low-end/cheap machine.

      @ItsBinhRepaired  8 месяцев назад +1

      It's because that's the max they configure it. 32gb will work just fine.

      In case anyone else happens upon this, he is correct -- it worked fine. Thanks again!

    Nice job. I have to say it is the best lap top disassembly video. I have a question. Is there a way to add 2.5 inch SSD to that empty slot? If I could, where can I purchase the ribbon cable for the SSD? I looked for it everywhere, but can't seem to find it. Do you have any idea where I can find it. Thank you.

    Hey man, thanks for the help, but my screen stays black. I've connected to my TV, and the laptop works fine. Any idea on what I did wrong? (It does recieve power)

    • @ItsBinhRepaired
      @ItsBinhRepaired  Год назад

      If you didn't drain the power, then it likely fried the backlight circuit.

    • @suspectv322
      @suspectv322 Год назад

      @@ItsBinhRepaired I did drain by holding the power button for 15 seconds like your video. The screen turns on, it just stays black. (I'm only repeating to clarify that the screen turns on) is there any other possible problem, or if the backlight is the problem, would there be any fix?

    • @ItsBinhRepaired
      @ItsBinhRepaired  Год назад

      @suspectv322 loose screen cable, bad backlights in the lcd, or fried backlight circuit on the motherboard

    I have a big problem and I'm pretty sure my laptop's pretty similar my small dog about 2 years ago bumped it off the bed and as time went by and the more I would open it now it's actually separating from the bottom frame underneath the keyboard started at the right top corner so it's actually made it almost impossible to open and close without it getting destroyed ...any advice
