Thanks again for your videos. I have a pair of tx210. Do you think tx212 are enough louder to buy them or really there's an insignifficant difference of power and it's not worth while?
I don't think the 12s are enough louder to go for them over the 10s. I have the TX210s, I use them for an acoustic solo or duo, and I would pare them with a sub for a small band in a bar situation... But if I was DJing, I would feel the need to get the 15s over the 10s and 12s, purely for the extra bass response, so I wouldn't need to bring a sub. These speakers declare the Max SPL at 1 meter: 210- 116dB 212- 118dB 215- 119dB Now, that extra 3dB might not seem like a lot, but it's enough to hear the difference, and it requires doubling the power to achieve. These are maximum SPL though, to get a more realistic take on the nominal output level I would half the power, so 3dB less, so: 210- 113dB 212- 115dB 115- 116dB Are they low volume levels, well people shouldn't be listening over 110dB for longer than half an hour, if people are itching their ears, they are experiencing hearing damage.
There only appears to be xlr connections, which is fine by me, I have xlr cables a plenty... I presume that's one of the ways in which they keep the costs down compared to the TS series...
Are the tx215’s ideal for mobile DJing such as medium/large venues?
Cool stuff
